Its a really nice hotel! Rooms are very spacious, during this pandemic they will clean your room every other day. Breakfast its very tasty, but if you acquire the Hilton Honors room & breakfast, they will give you the same food everyday. Another thing that worth pointing out, is that they don’t have any available masks for costumers, which I believe, is a must. It s not wheelchair accesible due to several steps in every single floor

We stayed at the Hilton for 3 days from the NJ for a wedding near the city. The service is wonderful and so are the staff. Initially the first room I got reeked like cigarettes, so I asked to change rooms and they did with no problem. The rooms are a little dated. The bathtub is huge but a little high off the floors so have to be a bit careful not to slip. They have a shuttle to take you to the mall if need to. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was up to par. The free breakfast was excellent. Surprisingly they do not have a hotel store for minor things like aspirins or snacks. But they do have a vending machine. The hotel was nice.

My stay at this Hilton was very disappointing . First, when you arrive the front desk , there is no friendly welcoming or mentioning of the hotel's shuttle for use. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. Andrea at front desk informed that the the hotel doesn't provide refrigerators. She insulted me by asking why I needed a refrigerator. Andrea was rude and combative. Finally, 3 days before I was leaving , Mr Gonzalez intervened to help me to get a refrigerator. He was very helpful and professional. My breakfast was included. However, The Hotel charged me $5:00 to putting my breakfast in a box for an early morning tour. I told them I don't eat pork and they gave it to me anyway. Also, I let the front desk know that there was a dead roach in my room. The staff did remove the roach. I have stayed at many Hilton Hotels. This Hilton is the worst. The front desk staff needs to be trained in customer service.

Never going to a Hilton again. The website says indoor pool and spa there isn’t any! The managers don’t want to manage. They delegate it to the front desk and hide behind theirs

This used to be a beautiful, well-maintained hotel but now that’s no longer the case. There is overgrown vegetation on the side of the building and parking areas, dated carpets in room, lack of cable service, slow service and very high prices at the bar. Avoid.

Ideal location just in the outskirts of Ciudad de Guatemala. Conveniently located near the newest malls and good restaurants. The staff was amazing. They are all an asset to this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and preserves an antique style. The rooms and beds are quite nice and comfy. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet style.

Let's start with the positives: Great hotel - it is really lovely. I am a HD so I got an upgrade. The rooms were really large and we had 2 queen beds, a desk, a TV console, a large couch and coffee table. Free water, free breakfast for one and the free food credit were added bonuses (read on to see how that panned out) - 10 mins from the airport which was a huge plus. Negatives: Room: - The bathroom although huge the shower was not working great. It was a huge task to turn on the hot water faucet, the toilet was in a separate area and zero ventilation, no exhaust so it fogged up quickly. Location: - Very noisy area and lots of traffic. Not walker friendly at all. Food: - Breakfast: We arrived late Friday night, so Sat morning breakfast was really great - lots of fresh fruits, pastries and lots of vegetarian options. So it was pretty good. Sun & Monday - terrible breakfast - not a lot of options. we literally had a couple of things and got a full price charged to the room. We were going on a tour so we did not have the time to get something out of the hotel. On Tuesday we did not have at the hotel, we got food elsewhere for breakfast. They added the cost of the free breakfast as a tip - again lack of communication and I was in a rush to make my tour bus so did not argue. Dinner: We had the one night (Monday night) - it was tough choices. They brought stuff that was not ordered (due to lack of communication of the staff (no English speaking). The food was a-OK. Not great, but passable if you are hungry. Do not order dessert there - not good at all. Main course is Ok. Nothing to rave about. Since my drinks were free they added the cost of my free drinks to their tip. I have never seen this happen else where. Drinks were terrible. Even the virgin pina colada was baaaaad. Staff: On arrival in a rush to help to offset the blunder with the cab situation, the over enthusiastic front desk staff made a grab for my suitcase and broke the handle of my carry on. Extremely lack luster - No one really went above or beyond expectations. Plus - I did not like the fact that they were supposed to send a vehicle to the airport for pick up that thy were charging $16 per person for and no one showed up and we ended up taking a uber back to the hotel for $5.00 total. When questioned on arrival they claimed they had communicated with their cab company mid afternoon and they don't know why no one showed. Oh well.. Saved me a lot of $. I took an uber back to the airport as well - so no need to pay them the additional if you have the Uber app. Also on their dining room they have clearly a board that says - NO PYJAMAS however when people arrived in shorts they were turning them back and these frustrated looking staff called a manager that spoke as much English as they did - zero. For a hotel that primarily and clearly had a lot of expat pass through, they need to definitely have bi-lingual staff that can cater to that kind of population. Pool: absolutely dirty and unkept Over all - will stay again but will not be taking advantage of their F&B. EXTREMELY DISSAPPONTING FOR THE HILTON BRAND PRODUCT.

Resort like hotel that has a lot more than just a lobby and dining area. The quality and luxury of it definitely show in its service and etiquette but not one really for the locals. For tourists its a great price for the space you get but may be difficult to reach certain parts of Guatemala City from here

Thunderstorms!! Hilton Diamond Member: Jet Blue had to divert, leaving us stranded at the airport. Coming to this Hilton was the best choice, turning our lousy day into a restful night. The staff food and atmosphere were above standard. I will be using this Hilton in the future. A+ We also stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown, which was nice, clean, and comfortable, but this Hilton is worth any additional effort.

We are impressed with this hotel, the service is excellent, clean and spacious rooms, nice big bathrooms, beautiful colonial style, gardens are beautiful and the upkeep is impressive, delicious food and overall a really nice place to come and relax, on the outskirts of Guatemala City, this is definitely on our list of hotels when coming to Guatemala 👍🏽👍🏽

The Hilton Guatemala City is one of the most cozy and beautiful options you have when visiting Guatemala! Their concept (in my opinion) it’s like a “boutique hotel” with Colonial Style. It is outside the city (not in downtown), but it worth the extra miles. The facilities are great, confortable, the entire hotel is well maintained and the views of the city, mountains, “Volcán de Agua” (water volcano) and vegetation are awesome. The staff is super professional and friendly and the food and drinks are good too. This is a perfect place for business, family and romantic gate away trips ;0) 100% recommended 👍

Hilton Guatemala City is an awesome hotel located in the heart of the city. Its central location makes it a convenient option for business, travelers, and tourists. And you can explore the vibrant capital of Guatemala.

I've been a loyal customer, staying at this hotel on average twice a year for the last 25 years. Yes, that includes the period prior to the hotel being a Hilton. The last time I stayed I had an issue with the reception desk, but now it was worse. Turns out that I was "upgraded" to a Jr. Suite, something I didn't want because most of the upgraded rooms face the loud highway. I explained that I preferred a garden facing room regardless of the upgrade, but they couldn't accommodate me because they had no availability of those rooms. So, I accepted the upgrade, but because the room wasn't ready, I left telling the front desk that I would be back later that night. I came back close to 9:00pm to find that indeed my room was facing the highway, but then the surprise...the room had no windows! Oh yes, there was glass where windows were supposed to be, but they were frosted or white. Needless to say, you couldn't see out and it felt like a cave! Well, it was late, so I decided to go to sleep and deal with it in the morning. Morning came, I went to the front desk and told them how unhappy I was and that the room was unacceptable and that I wanted to leave given that they couldn't accommodate my request. Well, to my surprise they were going to charge me the penalty for checking out early. I explained that it was not my fault, that they should check with the manager. They then offered a room next to the elevator which I declined. Explaining that it was okay if they had no availability, and that I would just leave. No issue, those things happen and I would be back another time. I went back to the room to gather my bags and returned to the front desk to check out and yes, the manager had said NO to my request to not charge the penalty so I had to pay the $25 plus tax. What a stupid move by the hotel, after 25 years, they had lost a client for $25. Amazing! Of course I will never stay at the hotel ever again and will do what I can to tell everyone my story.

The room was great. Exactly what I expected based on the pictures. The location is not centrally located, which I knew upon booking. I mapped it and it wasn’t too far away from the main part of town…haha. It might only be a few miles away from the main part of town—but those couple of miles can take over an hour to travel by car…the traffic is crazy! The biggest disappointment was the service at the front desk. It was horrible. We checked in on 1/23/24 around 9pm and the gentleman that was working was dismissive and a poor representation of Hilton. I shouldn’t feel like he put us in the worst room because he didn’t like us…but I do. It was such a bummer because we were so excited to check into a nice hotel after traveling around Guatemala, and our first experience with the staff was so memorably negative.

This hotel is definitely not up to Hilton's standards. There is no heating in the rooms and rooms are very cold and dated. Moreover, they did not have hot water during my stay nor toothpaste (saying it is not something the offer). Room service has only 3 breakfast options. Staff of front desk in particularly rood and unhelpful even the manager on duty was not helpful either. Place looks good for pictures but it is NOT a place where you want to stay.

Nice charming property overlooking Guatemala City. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. They go out of their way to make stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are big compared to other hotels and have all the facilities one can ask for.

Wonderful staff, beautiful property. The only drawback is it can be loud because it's right off a highway. I initially had room 311, which was gorgeous, but I couldn't sleep! I requested a new room and got 416, which was MUCH better! It was one floor up and more "inside," the hotel than the odd numbered rooms that hovered above the street. The restaurant was great and again, all staff were friendly. You will need a car or Uber ride to get off and on the property unless you want to walk next to a highway. (Odd city design.)

Gorgeous hotel, but loud from traffic. Not a place to stay for more than one night. Perfect for first night in Guatemala after traveling or last night before travel, due to proximity to airport (which is more like 30 mins due to constant traffic). Very clean rooms. Very safe and beautiful hallways etc. gym is nice — and has filtered water dispenser (!) Restaurant is quite pricy, especially for Guatemala, but food is good and it’s open till late (I think 10 or 11 pm). Would definitely stay here again (but only for one night before traveling elsewhere).

No security footage neither room service when it comes to food, cleaning and hospitality good service here is non existent. I do not recommend this place at all, personally they treated me without respect. Just to finalize it the maintenance guy from the room stole my personal documents, including my passport and my American Visa and refused to gave me any names or even the poor security footage cameras they have. It’s seriously disappointing for a 4.5 hotel. My person will never go back to this place called “Hilton” which has been the worst overall stay I’ve had in my life.

I have never in my life experienced being singled out like I have in a Hilton property like I was today. I visited Guatemala for my birthday and until the morning of May 7th most of the stay was decent. But for some reason today the Restaurant Manager of all people decided to single me out amongst everyone in the hotel. I noticeably was the only Black guest probably in the hotel but definitely in the restaurant. He comes to me and instructed me I must wear my mask which was beneath my chin because the staff couldn’t hear me while ordering. While I have no problem with Covid protocol I do have a issue with an entire wedding party being overlooked and I being targeted. Now I have contributed my fair share of money to his staff and his restaurant. But if my business isn’t appreciated my money will be utilized elsewhere, I actually switched brands because of the feeling of prejudice. I am a business owner, travel agent and social media promoter. I will definitely explain to my followers how to expect being treated at this facility. Everyone else, I wold say we’re pleasant but you forget that like he forgot to tell everyone else to wear there masks as well I will be calling the Diamond Desk to make sure they are aware why I left.

Hilton in the USA has gone down hill with Covid but I am impressed with this hotel. Always shop around but provided the rate is competitive I recomend this hotel. Can be a little noisy at night with vehicle noise

Plenty of security and beautiful gardens. A great sense of the Guatemalan hospitality. For sure, will come back again.
