As a college student, which means I have almost 20 years of experience dealing with instructors. Albright is definitely one of my favorite. He made everything easy and interesting, other stuff were also very supportive. Thank you for all the efforts you put in your teaching, Albright!

I highly recommend the 8 week EMT course. You'll give ring-down reports in the back of a moving ambulance and drag your classmates out of a ditch on a backboard. It's the best quality training you could ask for. It also happens to be a lot of fun. It is important to note that the course is a LOT of work. 20 hours of in-person class + 100-200 pages of reading + 2 exams/week. You'll also have to dedicate at least three non-class days to riding along in an ambulance. However, Instructor Albright is the best teacher I've ever had. His engaging lectures and stories make the 10 hour skill days fly by. If you're willing to put in the time the EMT class will be an extremely rewarding experience.

I learned about BATA when I was doordashing one day and i’m so glad I did because I love it! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to become an EMT or just looking for experience. The VP of BATA, Nicky, is awesome and very understanding! My instructors Paul Bieber and Steve Albright are the best instructors I could’ve asked for. They make such a great learning environment and have a fun way of teaching. Another great thing about BATA is that you get so much hands on experience, meet tons of cool people/instructors and learn new skills such as how to backboard, use spider straps, how to use a gurney, etc. and also get to go on ride alongs with different ambulance companies. My first ride along was with Dominic LaMonica and Kyle Sylvia, who are two Westmed EMTs. I’m so appreciative of them and how they taught and treated me during my ride along. It was such an exciting experience and they made sure I was comfortable and that I was included the whole time. Im so grateful for Bay area training academy and all i’ve learned; I will always recommend it to anyone looking to go into EMS.

This class was without a doubt one of the best experiences I’ve had. From the curriculum to the instructors, everything was perfect. It was one of those classes that you’re excited to go and learn every single day. Instructor Albright is an amazing teacher who inspires and brings out the best his students. He helps teach you challenging and important material effectively while still making it fun. It was an honor and a privilege to be his student. For anyone interested in medicine or curious about EMS I could not recommend this course more. You will not regret it! Go class 82!!!

The absolute best. Did the 3 week EMT course and was extremely worried coming into the first day. Immediately felt comfortable after the first interaction. Never knew that 12 hours could go by that quickly. Scott is a well-versed instructor and made the course by far the most entertaining and exciting experience one could possibly have. All of the 6 Skills instructors I interacted with also some of the best teachers one could have. If you are ever on the edge of signing up for any of their EMT courses, go for it. I can say with full confidence that you will be blown away by the level of skill and instruction.

I've completed EMT in the past, but went to school and stepped into a different career field for awhile and let my EMT expire. When looking for an EMT training program I searched for a good program, with a good instructor, and a schedule that worked with my full time job. Bay Area Training Academy provided all three. Steve Albright is by far the best educator I've had in years. You can tell that he wholeheartedly wants the best for his students and wants to produce the best EMTs for the field. I am so grateful that I took this course and for the community the cohort built. 10/10 would recommend!

Learned so much and will work to apply the skills I learned into the field. Instructor Albright was a very passionate and enthusiastic teacher, always supporting his students so that they succeed. The class grew close together and felt pretty tight knit as we all struggled and worker hard together for quick but grueling two months. I definitely would recommend anyone this program as we are introduced into very real life scenarios, able to work on the minimum requirement skills and more. I've met and worked with people who have become friends and or life connections which was a plus in itself. Go to BATA!

I had a phenomenal experience during my 7-week EMT program, hosted by BATA. There was A LOT of material crammed into those short weeks, but it was such a rewarding experience. Active drills to supplement the lectures, ride alongs, and of course, making mistakes where mistakes can still be made. The atmosphere created by the BATA staff was truly remarkable. I had Stephen Albright as my instructor, and he was THE BEST!!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I recommend this course to anyone who is considering EMT school!

Took a 5 week course with Chris, super difficult but he made it completely doable. He is by far one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, he brings the energy to every class and makes sure you know your stuff. For the skills portion Monique was amazing, she made sure that you followed every single rule to completely get it right. Instructors CJ, Ben, and Tank were also super helpful reviewing any skill you needed help with. Would 10/10 recommend this course to anyone looking to get EMT certified. (The admin also has incredibly fast response rate either for emails or paperwork help)

I did the 3 week course and had Scott as my instructor. The program was definitely intense and filled with lots of information. However, Scott converted the dense lecture material into simpler terms. He would always include funny, interesting anecdotes that enhanced my learning experience. He was very supportive of everyone in the class and always answered my questions thoroughly. I also want to thank my skills instructors (Dakota, Frank, Ben, Scotty, and Tank) for being so helpful throughout the course. They made sure that we practiced the EMT skills numerous times and were really helpful as well. Although this class was extremely fast paced, I wouldn’t choose any other program. It is very rewarding and I definitely feel equipped to work as an EMT.

Amazing!! Steve Albright is truly one of the best instructors I have had in all of my years in school. He made the course fun and engaging throughout. I cannot recommend him enough. His passion for EMS has inspired me to carry his same dedication in my own career. I recommend this class to anyone looking to become an EMS professional.

Honestly the most accomplished I've ever felt in my academic career. Scott was an amazing instructor alongside the numerous skills instructors that made me feel real genuine confidence in such a long time. My only complaint is that I wish that we were told to read the entire textbook prior to class instead of just the first ten chapters, since you really don't have time to cram extra material, especially with the three week course that I was taking. Other than that, an absolutely amazing experience that definitely felt worth the money.

Definitely the funnest and team friendly course I’ve been apart of! Instructor Albright hands down best teacher and person of knowledge to reference after. He not only how’s his stuff, but teaches in a way you can remember and apply the knowledge taught. Definitely recommend BATA for up and coming EMT’s!

As a former student I can confidently recommend the 5-week class. My Instructor Scott Atkins, was absolutely amazing and throughout my time in the class he always kept it fun and interesting and made me want to learn. The Staff was always very professional and kept everything in order. Heads up for anyone taking the 5-week class, Prepare to have no life outside of school for the entirety of your class. Your life will have to become School-Study-Sleep cycle over and over again until you graduate. Look, I did it at 17, if I can do it so can you!! Good Luck👍

Incredibly glad that I had chosen this program for my EMT training. I’m from out of state and I knew that I was moving to the Bay Area pretty soon. I wanted to become an EMT so I knew I had to find a good program that started when I moved here. This program had the best reviews and seemed reliable. So when I moved to the area I was definitely nervous about starting EMT training in a state that I am very unfamiliar with, but I am so grateful to have found BATA from states away. I had taken the eight week program with Instructor Albright that just finished last week. It’s about 20 hours a week in class covering a ton of material, so it is fast paced and can be intense. However, everything was amazing and had been the highlight of my transition to living in California. The class really covers everything you need to know, you learn and practice skills needed as an EMT and the instructors make realistic scenarios to practice how an EMT does a patient assessment. Those scenarios were nerve racking at first for me personally, but they became really fun with my classmates and had taught me a lot about medical conditions and how to conduct patient assessments. All in all, I really loved this class and how honest the instructor was about the profession and how he would even demonstrate certain skills on himself (now that’s dedication). I feel prepared to go into EMS now and honestly miss having class. Not the tests part but the community you build with the instructor and classmates. Thanks BATA and Instructor Albright for everything!

Mr. Albright best teacher hands down! BATA is a great program to be apart of and during the course they become family. There is no way I would’ve been able to get through the material in 8 weeks the way I did in another program. The teaching was 10/10. BATA FOR LIFE !!

I could not have any higher praise than I do for Bay Area Training Academy, the program, curriculum, and instructors are top-notch. In an 8 week course, I have felt so confident in my learning ability thanks to the specialized accelerated course that BATA provides. While bringing every student to above NREMT standards, they also have had an amazing opportunity for 1 on 1 learning, between the skills instructors and the personalization of the course. Instructor Albright could not have been any better, and taught all of us EMT competency and then some, adding personal experiences, field knowledge, and the special way he teaches; focusing on hands-on learning and attention grabbing lessons. I have zero regrets about my choice to take BATA, and fully recommend to anyone and everyone looking for the best EMS Academy in the area. I hope you choose Instructor Albright as well, as he goes down as #1 in my book.

I enrolled in BATAs 8-week EMT academy with Steve as my instructor. The instructor was exceptional, providing comprehensive and engaging lessons that thoroughly prepared me for the EMT certification exam. Their expertise and dedication were evident throughout the entire duration of the program. They were always available to answer questions and provide guidance, ensuring that I had a solid understanding of the material. I am happy to report I had passed my EMT certification first try because I was so well prepared. I definitely recommended this academy when looking to further your EMS career.
