We were able to dine in now that 25 percent is allowed. We were the only one in the restaurant. Everyone was in the patio. We had to fill out a form for the city of San Jose. The service was good. The food was only above average for us. We had the calamari for appetizer. The batter was good but the calamari was a little chewy. We're calamari aficionados so our standard is a little high. I had the pork chop. It was juicy enough, but a little on the bland side. It was also a little small. The wife had the steak. Again it was juicy but a little bland. So it was an above average dining experience.

We came here for some dinner and drinks, my Husband and I. The place looked pretty packed and the menu looked good. We decided to try it out. We were not impressed with the food. My Philly had lots of fat in the meat. My husband's steak was not the cut they said it was. However, the cocktail was delicious! And the waiters were very nice.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday and I found Firehouse No. 1 on Opentable. It was Friday night and parking was a bit challenging - recommend getting there early. We were seated right away in the back corner of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and prompt. Drinks were served right away and well crafted. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! The bone marrow appetizer was devoured quickly, as was the calamari. My friend's rib-eye steak was a perfect medium rare. I had mussels and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ended up staying & chatting at the restaurant for a long time. It got loud at times but overall the volume was manageable. The staff brought out complimentary (?) cheesecake for my friend's birthday, which was a nice gesture. My only complaint is that our bench seats were not the most comfortable. Otherwise everything else was awesome. Would certainly recommend this place and return for future visits.

The area where this restaurant is located can be very busy, especially during Fri and weekends, so plan accordingly. There is a parking garage nearby which is very convenient. The night we went for dinner was quiet so we were able to get a table right away. Our server was very courteous and helpful since it was our first time there. They have a good selection of beer and cocktails. The four we ordered were great. Appetizers were very generous in portion: calamari and the French fries. Both came out fresh and crispy with loads of flavor. Our main entrees were surf and turf (6oz sirloin and grilled halibut) and NY strip steak. Again, both came out perfectly and we're delicious. Overall a great place for drinks and meal with friends or date.

Came here for brunch today and it was OK. I think if they had more staff my review would have been 4 stars. Our waiter seemed as though he was the only waiter working, and unfortunately drink and food did take awhile. That being said I didn’t realize Sunday’s were only the brunch menu and he did tell me the kitchen could accommodate me ordering Mac + cheese. He was very accommodating and I think had he had more time to dedicate to each table it would have been a better overall experience. The food was just OK. I will be back to see how it is in a few months maybe.

Amazing dinner and atmosphere. Bartender created a custom drink called the pain killer. It was a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend the ribeye. The peppercorn sauce took it over the top. Expensive but well worth the cost. Wings were a great way to start. Highly recommend this place.

We have been here 3 times and all 3 times were really good. Staff are also very friendly and I personally think it's hard to find a place that tastes like this around here. Highly recommend. :)

Had the house special skirt steak with rosemary pesto mash potatoes and grilled vegetables. Super delicious 100% going back. Rahg our server was great and got us everything we needed including blackberry sours and other drinks. 😎

Firehouse No. 1 is not cutting any corners when it comes to the quality of their fare. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. Their Mac & Cheese is advertised as a starter, but eats like an entrée. Well worth the price of admission. The staff was incredibly kind and engaging, and we were seated nearly immediately on a Friday night. Definitely will return.

The food was delicious! Good service. Indoor and outdoor dining options. Cool place to hangout and chill.

Food and beer were amazing. Loved the Mac N Cheese. Bartender was great, until he decided to audibly make fun of, and berate other customers within earshot. That’s an ugly look for a customer-facing, service-based business. Will not be back.

Server asked for if we had a reservation...there were exactly 6 people in this restaurant...okay. Not many options for beer, but had one that was...well, almost warm...ok, just not cold. Food was good, but a bison burger for darn near $30. Probably won't be coming back. Sorry

Super casual and friendly atmosphere. Nice place to go grab a drink and meal. Their mussels are phenomenal! Wings too . Bartender who works there likes his job and make sure you feel welcome anytime you came. Service is beyond the expected every time.

Excellent service with a great drink menu. The staff is knowledgeable on the menu, great with recommendations and knows the area well if you're looking for a follow-on location after dinner.

Fabulous food and great small bar atmosphere. They have a great bar and also offer outdoor seating. I love sitting outside when the weather is nice (which is most of the time in our lovely state). The wait staff is wonderful and food delicious. Great place to have dinner before a concert or game in downtown San Jose.

Place was Okay, but not for a foodie like me. Common American Comfort Food. We order the most expensive item (Ribeye Steak) on the menu and the thickness was like 2 slices of thanksgiving ham. I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse for better quality steak for almost half the price. Snobby Silicon Valley Atmosphere with other diners. The waitress staff was nice but very slow response.

Great spot for a social meal and drinks with friends. They have a small menu, but you’ll definitely be able to find some options for yourself or to share. The food was really good. The service was also very friendly and accommodating.

My sister and I went here for the first time on a Friday night and sat at the bar. We shared the chicken wings and a salad and they were amazing! Our drinks were delicious and strong. The bartenders were so much fun and entertaining. The lighting was perfect and the music as well. The barstools were comfortable and the vibe was chill. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

Great food! Liked the nice atmosphere, waiters were very friendly. Did wish they had better way to view menu. QR is fine but the website is pretty bad to go through. Few of our items we wanted were not in stock. Other than that very enjoyable.

Decided on the Firehouse 1 and wasn't disappointed! Had the Pork chop and it was perfectly cooked; Apricot-Bacon sauce was outstanding! My other half had Steak Frites which was perfectly cooked and had a nice salad. The bartender David was awesome; very informative about food and made excellent drinks! We'll be back!

I honestly never leave a review unless it’s really good, or really bad…this was definitely the first. First off the bartender Raag, from start to finish, completed the whole experience. Drinks, dinner, experience, all on point. I live in Texas and came in on a business trip and found a gem. Will definitely be back and will be bringing coworkers and friends. Thx for a great evening.
