TJ and David are very nice and provided us with great services at the boat launch area. We were deeply impressed by their excellent service quality, and deeply appreciated TJ told us "You are welcome to come back in the future". The Café is very clean, hygienic and well organized. Thanks so much to the owner of the Lake Chabot Marina & Café for responding to my review...a very rare nice owner, who reminds me of the manager of the Empire State Building in New York City!

Beautiful lake where you can rent pedal boats, canoes, and electric boats. In the cafe you can find hotdogs, sandwiches, etc.

This was my first time here, the park is very nice, the only drawback was the long trek from the parking lot to the picnic area, if your bringing all the things you need for a successful cookout make sure you have a wagon or plenty of help.

The view and picnic area are really nice, but their food is very limited (hotdogs, grilled cheese, one turkey sandwich and bagel) and the staff were having an off day with lazy attitude, but not even one hello to our kids saying hi and bye to them and could not care less...bring your own picnic next time!

Lake chabot Marina & Cafe is a wonderful place to experience nature. Perfect for outings with your family, friends and pets. Over here they offer paddle boats canoes and other activities out on the water. I'm pretty sure you can also fish. Watch for the signs.

Nice little spot to grabe a bite to eat, a drink or Icee on a hit day. Also has day passes for fishing (you still need your state fishing license), tackle, bait, & boat rentals.

I was walking around the lake with my little cousin last week we watched the fish get planted, and as usual, there was about six anglers fishing. On the dock we witnessed a employee being exceptionally rude to the fisherman saying “that’s not real fishing” and things like “I’m closing this down because I know your social media group” my jaw dropped blatant discrimination because he was simply jealous I asked him afterwards where this policy was in writing, but he told me there was no policy stating that you have to close that doc, he just had to “show them who’s boss” your employees can’t just discriminate against people because they are jealous I looked at the policy it states no fishing 100 feet from the plant that Dock is over 300 feet away from the plant which would make closing it against policy , you claimed that you will take care of this incident internally, but I saw the exact same employee just the other week harassing and demeaning fisherman saying the same remarks “that’s not real fishing” “there just hatchery fish there too easy to catch” and then when the fisherman pointed out that their policy stated no fishing 100 feet from the stocking site, he threatened to call the cops. Your employees are out of control. You must have a word with them specifically the white guy that always wears the baseball cap with the hair that goes behind his ears.

This is a lovely place to visit. Friendly staff at the cafe/boat renting. Boats are clean. Huge lake to explore. No unpleasant smell. Lots of wild birds. Nice hiking trail.

Spent an hour pedal boating around Lake Chabot with my partner. We had a great time. The whole process was quite easy from start to finish due to the excellent staff who were helping us.

The ladies running the cafe were super nice to my kids. While David is stern and running the boats and going over the rules, the ladies running the food were all smiles and welcoming to my kids. They have a cafeteria style of food like sandwiches and chips so very helpful if you come without snacks but my kids are picky so I had everything already prepacked. I like the gift shop there's more than enough space for lots of people to eat inside.

The girl that work there was so nice and helpful, you can buy food, snacks, rent fishing rods, and the guy outside getting your safety vest, is a great guy, he will teach you how to run the electric boat, you must go with your family and have a great time.

It is a beautiful place for a day outing. The covered 8 seater boat we got had the almost new look...super easy to control..one hour is more than enough on the boat in my opinion. Boat was a 10 seater but they allow only 8 onboard. Staff is very helpful...other than boating, there are plenty of trekking options..if you are planning for a barbecue..there more than enough options available. Parking is $5. Overall a very nice place for a day outing..

Only if you have too are the words I would say for the marina cafe. I appreciate that they have it because options are always great but its just that. For those who didn't prepare in advance to be here at Lake Chabot. Options are very basic, sandwiches, cookies, muffins and a cooler that has Gatorade, water, juices and soda. The grill is closed as they are looking for a chef. Not bad, just clearly a place for the ill prepared adventurers and I truly appreciate that in itself. Prices were about what I expected too.

I love the lake view. The trails are kind for kids , dogs, riders...if you want to walk around the lake, it takes a long time.

Food is good, I had the Korean fried chicken. However, there is no AC in the market. It's so hot eating here. Don't go here during lunch in a hot summer day.

Easy to access, friendly staff, expeditious service—from requesting a kayak to being on the water in no time! A beautiful lake with calm waters for beginner kayakers.
