We had a great tour with Ricardo today. He shared many personal stories about Barcelona and showed us so many different areas. The food was excellent too! As a side note, it's always nice to tip on these tours. I'm sure it is appreciated and so many tourists don't seem to be tipping on the tours we've been on lately. The guides put in so much effort!!

I took the Barcelona’s Secret Food Tour & it was a very nice experience. The guide - Miguel knew a lot about the Spanish cuisine, Spanish history & about Catalonia as well. He kept entertaining us throughout the tour with many interesting information & of course, great dishes. It is a highly recommended tour if you want to discover the real taste of Barcelona.

Our guide Jordi Manjarrés was terrific! He shared a wealth of knowledge of his hometown, it’s history, culture, and his passion for the local Spanish cuisine. We tasted delicious bites of well known, beloved favorites, while learning a little bit of history along the way. Our group all sat together like old friends, and enjoyed a traditional tapas meal paired with the local drinks, Vermouth and Cava. Finally, to end our experience, we shared a beautiful Paella with Sangria and Orujo. If you love trying new foods and learning about the culture, this is a must try experience! Highly recommend it! 👍

This city has a lot to offer, but it would be difficult to explore it alone. Good thing we joined this tour to help us out. Great food tour with a great tour guide, Daniel! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating while I booked the tour. I had to change my original date and was running 10 minutes late the morning of (I got on the bus in the wrong direction). Luckily, the communication was excellent and I was still able to fully enjoy this tour. Daniel was very friendly and approachable. He gave us historical and cultural information in addition to letting us know about the delicious food. I was a solo traveler but felt extremely comfortable and included. I absolutely recommend.

Ricardo gave us an AMAZING tour! We had so much fun learning about the city while we ate at some very historical shops and markets. He has so much knowledge to share and is incredibly personable. My colleague who’s been to Barcelona gave me some tips about the places to visit, food to eat etc… I’d never imagine how awful it was to just follow my itinerary alone, especially that I was new there. While walking around, I’ve found a group touring and looking very interested. One of the tourists informed me about this food tour and booked as soon as I got in the hotel. This food tour is perfect! Our food tour was jam packed and so yummy. Jordi was such a great guide and was able to provide so much history and context to each of the neighborhoods we visited and the food and tapas we ate. This was our first secret food tour, but certainly not our last. Each restaurant, tapas, treat was better than the next, and all culminated in a delicious ending of paella, sangria, and dessert! Jordi was also able to give us some great recommendations of other local haunts for us to check out on the remainder of the trip. If you love food and getting a locals perspective on food and history, then secret food tours are for you!

Ricardo was great ! A local who actually lived in Barcelona's Old Town (where the tour was) and who's family had been there for generations was so knowledgable not only about the food, but also with the history and politics of the area ! A fantastic tour.

Absolutely the best tour we have taken, anywhere. Our tour guide Jordi is a native Catalan and lives in the neighborhood he showcases on the tour. We learned so much about the history of the city, and how its food reflects the many cultures that have existed in Barcelona. Jordi kept it interesting for all of us, including the teens who “don’t like history” but did really like the food and drink that our guide had in store. All the food stops were worthwhile, but where Jordi really made our night was arranging a last minute change to our itinerary, giving us a chance to have calcots while they are in season (after learning that we were unable to fit this seasonal experience into our trip). It was a blast (a messy, smoky, wine soaked blast). Fantastic experience, terrific tour guide

Jordi was awesome! Ive done a lot of the Secret Food Tours all over Europe and this one was by far my favorite! Not only is there plenty of food and treats, but it was great to hear some history and get to see some different sides of Barcelona you wouldn't normally see. Highly recommend this tour!

The food tour was a fantastic food & cultural experience. Ricardo was our amazing, energetic and very knowledgeable guide. His love for his culture, his city, and his enthusiasm made this tour unforgettable. Every corner we turned and every place at which we’ve ate, Ricardo had a story that made the food & the city come to life. From the oldest bakery, we went to the market and sampled varieties of cheese & ham and learned why each variety of cheese & ham we tasted, were so different. Then we went off to an authentic tapas place where the tapas was so delicious. We definitely wouldn’t have known what to choose if we were on our own. Ricardo’s selections were outstanding. We finished the tour with paella and a very refreshing sangria We also loved the fact that Ricardo took the food that our group did not finish and give it to a man who looked very much in need. He was lying down on a bench, in 30 degrees heat, in the hot noonday sun. The entire tour was unforgettable. Thank you Ricardo for making this a most wonderful food tour experience and for sharing your Barcelona with us.

I highly recommend this food tour, you will be especially lucky if you get Muriel as your guide. As a massive foodie, I am always on the hunt for food that the locals would eat and this tour is it. We went into the suburbs and drank wine, ate tapas, bakeries and the list goes on. I was concerned about the price when I booked however I was blown away by what was included. Very good value for money. Please do this tour!

The Secret Food tours was worth the money and time, if you are thinking about it just do it! We had a great time walking around the city with our guide Jordi and visiting places we would have never known to go to on our own, all of the food we tasted was delicious. Visiting Jai-Ca was really special, tasting vermouth for the first time and eating delicious sardine tapas and bomba! Jordi our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to share his culture and city tips with us.

Our guide was extremely accommodating. On our particular day, myself and my travel partner were the only ones signed up. He was able to read us and mix up the tour a bit, staying longer at one spot over another. We were able to try foods that normally are not included in his tour. We felt extremely comfortable as he was immediately friendly and informative. The historical facts he would drop as we wandered the city were interesting and not something I expected to learn. I couldn't recommend Secret Food Tours enough.

A very well organized tour. Our tour guide Andres knew everything there was to know about Barcelona, its history and the delicious food. He took us to amazing little local secrets that we never would have found on our own. Definitely a fun, tasty 3 hours and would buy again and recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.

I really can't recommend this tour enough! I was able to see the authentic Catalan way of cooking, it was superb! We went to 5 different places, our guide gave us some great knowledge about the city, it's history and culture. Very informative! It was amazing from start to end.

We have been to Barcelona several times on cruise ships and decided to do something different by going on this tour. A great experience and introduction to the city and its food. We sampled a true Catalan's meal (good portions and delicious) and desserts. This is the best food tour I have ever been on!

Miguel made sure this was the best thing we did in Barcelona. His knowledge and expertise in food and history of Barcelona is unbeatable. Also the spots he picked for the tour were super apt and fun. We were told by a friend that it would be a good idea to get comfortable with the city and eat like locals. We can not recommend this company and more to the point our tour guide Miguel Martin more highly. Miguel met us with a huge smile and continued to entertain and teach us about his home and local gems in Barcelona. He was in no hurry to finish up and we stayed long after the tour time, enjoying great food and company. Miguel is passionate about his city, the fabulous food it houses and the people. Locals would stop him in the street and he genuinely loved his job. At the end of the tour, we were confident to then take our family group of 6 to hidden tapas bars, the local market and walk the side streets of Barcelona feeling safe and like a local. I would do this again when next in Barcelona as I'm sure no 2 tours would be the same.

I was in a cruise and was able to book for Barcelona knowing that our ship will take a stop in the city. Our 3-hours of food adventure are worth every penny. There were a lot of stops and even hidden places that we wouldn’t have known if we didn’t join this tour.

We signed up at the last minute and were so happy we did! Loved this Bourn neighborhood with the small side streets, cafes, bars, and artisanal shops. The waterfront area was also beautiful! It was so nice to see and know about Catalan dishes and culture. Taking this tour feels like home as we were able to talk to the owners of the cafes and shared the stories about their businesses. Most of them are family-businesses and recipes that have been passed on through generations. Very inspirational and nostalgic indeed.

It was very easy to book a tour and the staff kept in constant email contact prior to the appointment . Had a private tour and they have an excellent guide - punctual , warm and friendly , and accommodating. Even if the tour was a bit pricey, you'll definitely get what you pay for. This is the best way to get around the city, with a local guide who knows where to go and which stalls are the real deal .

Our guide was so energetic and fun. He is so knowledgeable about the area and picked the best hidden places. We learned so much about the history and culture of Barcelona. We’re lucky enough to watch a parade during the festival, so it was a bonus for us.
