My
husband
and
I
went
to
Barcelona
in
April.
After
looking
at
all
of
the
amazing
tours
Spanish
Trails
had
to
offer,
we
decided
to
spend
all
9
nights
in
Barcelona
and
take
day
trips
with
Spanish
Trails
to
explore
the
area.
We
couldn't
have
been
more
pleased!
We
booked
5
tours
and
loved
them
all!
1.
Full-day
Barcelona
Tour
on
Friday,
our
first
full
day
there.
Fabulous
way
to
become
acquainted
with
the
city.
Our
lovely
guide
seemed
to
have
the
answer
to
any
question
we
could
ask,
and
we
were
very
happy
that
someone
else
was
doing
all
of
the
driving.
We
didn't
even
realize
that
our
tour
would
include
a
huge
lunch.
(That
was
the
case
with
all
of
our
tours.)
We
avoided
all
of
the
lines
at
the
Park
Guell
and
Sagrada,
so
for
that
alone,
it
was
worth
it.
Very
good
value!
2.
The
next
day
was
a
lazy
one
for
us,
but
we
did
the
Food
and
Wine
Tour
in
the
evening.
Wow!
My
husband
was
skeptical,
but
I
had
done
one
in
Rome
once,
so
I
insisted.
I
have
to
say,
this
might
have
been
our
favorite
tour
of
all,
but
then,
how
can
we
decide?
Our
guide
knew
all
of
the
best
spots
to
go,
and
we
just
walked
past
the
crowds
at
each
stop,
straight
to
our
reserved
table
or
room.
Great
food
and
wine
at
every
location!
Be
sure
to
take
notes
so
you
can
find
them
again.
This
is
also
a
walking
tour
of
the
city
and
we
were
able
to
see
sights
we
missed
the
day
before.
Also,
the
tour
wasn't
over
until
about
11:30
at
night,
and
it
was
fun
to
be
guided
through
lively,
hip
neighborhoods
and
into
churches
and
other
monuments
for
a
nighttime
view.
The
city
was
beautiful,
and
this
was
something
we
would
never
have
done
on
our
own.
3.
We
took
Sunday
off,
but
had
a
full
day
trip
planned
on
Monday
to
a
Medieval
Mountain
Village.
What
a
fabulous
day
we
had!
It
started
with
a
surprise
breakfast
(oh
well,
who's
counting
calories),
then
a
walk
through
the
most
picturesque
village
you
could
imagine
and
on
into
the
mountains.
The
hike
was
easy
enough,
with
plenty
of
stops
to
take
in
amazing
views,
but
it
was
still
a
good
workout.
When
we
got
back
into
town
we
had
another
fabulous
lunch
with
wine
and
something
I
would
call
an
orange
float
with
a
healthy
pour
of
Grand
Marnier!
Guess
what
we
all
did
on
the
way
back
to
Barcelona.
Yup!
We
slept
as
our
entertaining
guide,
Samuel,
drove
us
home.
4.
We
took
another
day
off
on
Tuesday,
then
went
on
the
Montserrat
and
Wine
Day
Tour
on
Wednesday.
Unfortunately,
our
good
luck
with
the
weather
did
not
hold
out,
and
it
poured
all
day.
Although
we
couldn't
enjoy
the
hike
and
views
at
Montserrat,
our
guide
worked
very
hard
to
make
sure
we
had
a
good
time,
and
we
did.
It
wasn't
what
we
expected
to
do,
but
we
still
enjoyed
our
thorough
tour
of
the
cathedral
and
other
buildings.
We
offered
up
prayers
as
we
touched
the
Black
Madonna
and
then
heard
the
boys
choir.
We
went
to
their
museum
(instead
of
the
hike),
and
I
have
to
admit,
it's
an
amazing
little
museum
with
works
from
many
famous
artists.
Luckily,
the
weather
can't
dampen
the
fun
of
a
vineyard
tour,
and
we
thoroughly
enjoyed
getting
to
know
wines
from
the
Penedes
region.
And
of
course,
we
had
another
delicious
meal
as
we
dried
off
between
our
Montserrat
visit
and
the
wine
tour.
5.
The
very
next
day
we
went
on
the
Costa
Brava
and
Girona
Day
Tour.
Although
still
cloudy,
we
didn't
get
rained
out,
and
the
day
turned
out
to
be
a
winner!
In
fact,
if
we
go
back
to
Spain,
we'd
love
to
stay
in
Girona
and/or
on
the
coast
for
a
few
days.
We
couldn't
believe
we'd
never
heard
of
Girona
before.
It's
lovely!
We
also
saw
Pals,
a
quaint
walled
city,
and
we
had
another
delicious
regional
lunch,
where
we
met
up
with
our
guide
from
the
food
tour
and
her
group.
It
was
a
nice
reunion!
We
all
felt
like
old
friends
by
the
end
of
our
tours.
Choose
Spanish
Trails
like
we
did,
and
I
assure
you,
you'll
have
a
great
experience!
