Beautiful design, unique architecture and peaceful feeling when you are enjoying a good concert. The chairs are not really comfortable and in summer time could be a little hot since there is no air conditioning. Other than that you will enjoy being here.

Pretty building, though a bit "extra" as some might say these days. Was not open when I was there.

Wow, I'm actually shocked cause this is one of the most important theaters of the world cause here is where our president used to invite important people! I cant even imagine that I was there stepping the same floor. The architecture was unique and very elaborate but the story behind the symbols must be heard by you that's why you should go there 👌🏻🔜 and prove that is an amazing experience.

Magnificent theater in neoclassic eclectic style inaugurated by Porfirio Diaz. Figures at top are from Greek mythology. It’s at the heart of the centro and a venue for many performances.

This building is beautiful and worth the small fee to go in and do a self-tour. My only regret is that we weren't there long enough to see a show. This spot is also the meeting place for many activities.

Don’t stop at the door - make sure to walk inside this beautiful theater and take a look at its ornate decor. While the exterior is impressive, it is worth the 35 peso admission fee to enter. Be aware that it is closed for a few hours in the middle of the day. Also, if there is a performance in the evening it may not be open to visit. We kept our eye on it for a couple days before finally finding the entry open for visitors. Worth it.

Amazing theatre and performance! The parking is very convenient and the concession stands are full of good drinks and an okay price. Thank you!

I've seen the outside. It's glorious. But- they've been closed for renovations inside since 2022. Any idea when it will reopen for performances? Thanks for any help, I have exhaustively searched and found nothing.

Absolutely beautiful architecture. Concerts are diverse and quite good. Lovely spot to enjoy street performers outside, take memorable photos, and then to enjoy the symphony and other fabulous shows inside. A must see.

Most beautifully preserved theater I have seen. The information provided by the presenter was in Spanish, and it was very engaging. A must when visiting Guanajuato.

It's really good place for the weekend.... In total Guanajuato Is best for the weekend. Having a family trip is the best idea..but choose winter season... During summer it's really hot to walk along the streets. Take a small tour and have fun with the local stories
