Wow! I couldn't even believe this place wasn't full! My friend ordered Won Ton soup, and I ordered chicken egg foo Yung. Wonderful food, plenty of it, and really efficient service. I would really recommend trying them out. There was enough food for 4 people for under 33 dollars!

This must be some kind of hidden gem. This is not your every day "dollar Chinese take out. In fact, not even close. The Golden palace serves some of the finest Chinese food in the entire area. Be prepared to have a large appetite, as every thing is served family style, huge portions. So it's best that each person in your party order one dish. Don't be fooled by the lack of people dining in. The majority of their business appears to be take out or delivery, as a lot people were coming and going as well as their delivery person. You will not be disappointed.

I love this place. Sizzling rice soup is delicious! (My go to) great place to have a nice dinner with family.

I have seen this place for over 60 years and final tried it. Wow I should have tried it sooner like 60 years sooner. I'll definitely be back the food was hot, delicious, family sized portions and well priced. My new favorite Chinese restaurant.

I ordered the chicken and shrimp fried rice. For starters, that wasn’t chicken. It didn’t taste or look like chicken. It had a rubbery taste and feel. Secondly, the fried rice overall had NO FLAVOR. There was no spice or flavoring AT ALL. It literally taste like grease and left a grease taste in my mouth. If you ever find yourself in San Diego and want the best fried rice you’ve ever had in your life go to Finest Thai in El Cajon. So much flavor and you can choose your spice level they also offer crab fried rice which is my favorite. Every single person that i have introduced to that place has said it’s the best fried rice they’ve ever had!

A rated restaurant. Plenty of parking. Friendly employees. orange checkered I give it ⭐⭐⭐ it was a bit too crunchy for me. The flavor was good but some of them did not have the flavor. Orange beef was really good I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ it could use a little bit more flavor. And the best part there's no fat in it. Just remember these are spicy you have to ask them no spicy. I could tell they recently remodeled and so it is really nice to go there

Food is not good, sweet n sour chicken doesn’t have flavor, kun pao chicken doesn’t look lik kpc or taste like kpc, chow main is like regular noodles wanna be chow main. I do not reccomend this place. I don’t know how people go there to eat. It reminded me like the “Chinese Food” I tasted in México .... horrible. I threw my food away. Trust me people go somewhere else, out of the 3 things I bought none of them were good or had a good taste. No compren allí, la comida no tiene muy buen sabor, le falta su sabor de cada cosa. Es como q algún cocinero está aprendiendo a hacer comida china. Me lleve una decepción y tire lo k sobro k era mucho. El chow main no sabe como el chow main original, es como espagueti con ajo y repollo. Esta malo!!!! Ni lo q pague 🤦🏻‍♀️

We came here when our son and daughter were at young age. Tonight my husband and i came back after many years. The food and service was AWSOME! Big portions served as well & still brought home plenty of leftovers. Well worth with it. We will be back again👍🙏

Im a regular customer but today they did not have a lunch combination which I understand due to the holiday but there was no dinner combination either. They have those at night time. I’m a regular customer! I am very disappointed.

Love the old school Cantonese style food. We've only been here twice and have tried different food, and so far, everything has been great.

First time visiting with my family. Everything was delicious. We order 6 different plates. Three out of my 5 guest were not impressed with the chow mein. Everything else was splendid. Will definitely revisit.

Place is not eye catching from outside but from inside it is nice.Food was delicious service was good.

BEWARE! Waitress got the order totally wrong. She repeated correctly yet serviced it wrong. Cashier insisted that I got what I ordered when he wasn't at the table and charged incorrectly.

I had the most DISGUSTING Honey Walnut Shrimp and immediately spit it out. It is so nasty. I wish I could get the horrible taste out of my mouth. The menu is outdated and the prices are ridiculous. I would have rather had Panda Express!!!!

The food was delicious. The oil used is soy bean oil (industrial oil), and I’m not a fan of that. My body felt weird for a day and a half while I processed it. Thought of leaving this review so that they maybe use olive or avocado. Something easier on the human body. They also love to have their lunch breaks in front of us which is fine but I don’t feel comfortable eating with the employees. It ruins the experience. Thank you for the food and I hope the feed back is honest and helpful.

Place from the outside looking in does not look promising but the food was delicious. Honey walnut shrimp is definitely a must have and house fried rice. Beef kung pao was legit and the egg rolls were crispy and not oily. Will definitely come back.

This place looks run down from the outside but, when you enter you are taken by surprise. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Large plates and family style tables. The restrooms need a little help . Overall a great little hidden gem. Will definitely return.

The food was good the service was alright. BUT My real concern was,if the restroom is a reflection how they clean from 1-10 they were a 1 -- minus one. The bathroom was was dirty stinky filthy and feces on the handles of the toilet bowl cleaner. It was all bad and if this is how they clean this is only a reflection of how they keep the kitchen clean.

Our new favorite spot is when hubby and I are visiting family. We all enjoy our family time while enjoying a delicious meal 😋. Walnut shrimp and orange chicken were a big hit, and I enjoyed all the spice in the Kung pao dishes and Mongolian beef.. Tasty,delicious food!!

Wow do not know if not the chef’s night. Ordered Kung Pu chicken, beef & broccoli and egg Rolls, cream cheese wontons to go. Bill was over $50 and as I am signing bill I asked that does come with rice? She stated no. Very taken aback. So that was an add on. What Chinese Restaurant does not Serve Rice with the meal? The chicken dish had next to no peanuts and the meat Was very oily as was the beef in the beef and broccoli dish. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. Still had a crunch to it but oily. The cream cheese In the wantons was dried out. The egg rolls tasted great! No napkins in the bag and no fortune cookies and no utensils. I don’t know? Was I to ask? Save your money and avoid this restaurant. I want my food to be palatable and taste good but this was not the case..

I thought it was going to be good given the reviews but it taste just like a small Chinese food place on every other corner you see. The only good thing that I liked was the pan fried noodle.

This place is a hit or miss sometimes but the food is delicious. I've ordered twice from here, the first time everything was delicious. The second time I ordered the same thing but they were kind of bland. I would say it is the best Chinese food in the area without a doubt.
