An incredibly special and beautiful ranch! Our family unplugged from technology and spent 5 days at Vermejo. It was the most amazing experience, with incredible outdoor activities, wildlife sightings (including bison) and some of the best hospitality and culinary dining we’ve experienced in our travels. The accommodations are top-notch and their staff make you feel so special and welcome. The guides we had for our outdoor activities were so knowledgeable and made fly fishing, archery, and trail riding so much fun! None of us wanted to leave after 5 days, and we will definitely be back.

My Wife and I were guests for an afternoon. This is a wonderful place to get away from the madhouse world. The place is beautiful, and the staff is excellent.

Just a few days ago I was standing on top of 12,868 ft State Line Peak high above the Vermejo Park Ranch with my guide, Tricia, taking in spectacular views. This was the first of several peaks we would do that day. I can thank Harry, the Reserve Ambassador, for setting up my visit on short notice and providing a most capable accomplished guide, well-versed on a wide range of outdoor subjects. A fantastic visit, beautiful scenery and a delightful hiking companion in Tricia. I haven’t talked that much in years. Highly recommend visiting VPR.

Spent three lovely days in the park, we stayed in the Turner House which is appointed with beautiful antiques but most importantly at this time of year is air conditioned. Our friends stayed in one of the gorgeous cabins but had no air. Also they were disappointed not to have a king bed which our room had. But we all had an amazing time. The staff is the most solicitous and professional you will find.’the food was incredible. Lots of great game dishes. Especially loved the antelope, all the salads, well… everything. We scheduled fly fishing 2 different days - 1st day was in a boat on the lake with Eric who was incredibly Knowledgeable and good natured. Lots of fun, caught great fish! Next day we went above 10,000 feet to the high country and fished the streams with Logan. Also an excellent guide and great personality! Caught so many cool Rio Grande cutthroats! One day we went in the tour from the lodge to the high country with Shea. What a great guy! Really personable, knowledgeable! He took us on the road and right into the middle of a heard of Bison. Very exciting. I must also mention William the bartender who is incredible. Great to talk to, makes the best drinks anywhere and does it with Such presentation. We saw deer on the property - off property we saw elk, turkeys, more deer, a blond bear, Bald Eagle, Pronghorn, loads of Bison! The expansive property is pristine and unlike many other parks has very little traffic or Sign of man. Breathtaking. They are incredible stewards in their caretaking of the property and lands. Lots of great events, fish fry, ice cream making. One person in our party had children who were coddled by staff and always had fun things to do! I most highly recommend!

Empty promises. No ice fishing, they said my reservation was paid for before I drove 9 hours to get there only to tell me I owed $4000 more. I got home and checked with my bank. My bank statement said it was paid for. They said I could bring my dog, but got mad at me when I DID. They changed my room reservation from a nicer room, to a stuffy uncomfortable room with flies. The food made us sick, they openly admitted that they fed us Elk that wasn't FDA approved. Aiden was the only cool guide, food was alright, waiters and waitress tolerated my goofy husband as best they could.... over all, front desk staff and management could use some training, or just better people who don't lie. Ted, I appreciate what you're trying to do for the land and the animals, but the people hired to take payments and feed us need a looking at.

My first bull Elk hunt was an incredible experience here. The guide was fantastic along with the staff, the food, the accommodations and the breath-taking views. I would be honored to be invited back to this majestic place.
