Pretty amazing site with lots to see. When we were there it was not crowded which was nice. You can walk through the ruins and read about the various structures. The view from the top is incredible! Highly recommended if you are looking for a historical outing. Bring water, sunscreen, and a wide brim hat as it is hot and very sunny! Museum has many artifacts displayed.

Out of many archeological zones we visited during the stay in Mexico, this was definitely the one, that stole our hearts! <3 Absolutely breathtaking views and the feeling there is just out of this world. All of our trip companions loved this place the most. I wish I was there during the sunset, I think that would be so worth it. Definitely coming back one day. Oh yes -you can pay by card, entrance is 80 pesos per adult and free for kids. It is clean, well taken care of, so a huge recommendation from me :)

Didn;t know about this place until friends living in Metepec told us. This was one of my favorite place in mexico even after visiting all tourist parts. This one was only for us, 2 cars on parking lot, beautiful weather so really enjoyed it !

A remarkable site in that there are NO vendors meaning that you can see the ruins in peace and quiet. It is a bit difficult for foreigners to get to since you will need to rent a car or hire a driver. Taxis are not stationed at the site. The restorations are phenomenal. Note that in early 2019 the Observatory was closed off to the public.

Tolle Architektur.

A little disappointed the museum is closed on Mondays. However, we filled almost 2 hours walking around the site. The site advertises using an app or scanning QR codes to learn more as you walk through the site. Sadly, this great idea falls flat as there is very poor cell service in the area. More old school info panels would be helpful.

Very cool ruins, undisturbed and nearly empty of other visitors. Great place to wander around in, though getting a guide is recommended as there is much to learn. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside

Absolutely incredible. Went mid-morning and it was warm, sunny, with almost nobody around. Basicslly had the place to ourselves. Fun drive out to it and unmatched views. Please do yourself a favour and check this out!

Super interesting! A Lot of walk but worth it. The museum and ruins were pretty cool. Bring water, sun block and a hat! The nearest shop is like 10 minutes walking from the ruins gate. Imagine all the people from that era and enjoy the place!

This was a great site to visit, though it was a bit of an adventure getting there without a car. I went on a Thursday morning, and the place was virtually deserted. There is a museum filled with artifacts where you buy your ticket, and the site itself with the ruins. Many of the ruins look restored, and the entire place is clean and well maintained. Bring a hat, some sunscreen, and some water. I didn't find anyplace there that sold water. To return to Cuernavaca, the bus stops immediately outside the exit of the ruins.

An amazing site, well worth the visit. Go to the museum first to buy the tickets. Then take the short walk to the site. Although you can drive back to the entrance to the temple it’s a nice walk on the old historic road/ path.

One of the best on site archaeological museums in Mexico. I was really blown away. Very much worth your time after visiting the archaeological site proper.

It’s 70 pesos to get in. It’s worth it to go see and experience it. It’s very historic place to see the many display they have and the ruins that you can go climb on. The museum is very well kept and clean. The ruins was in great shape as well. It’s pretty big area for the ruins so you’ll spend more time there than the museum. The climbing is not too difficult. The weather can get pretty hot so wear protectant clothing and blocker and have a bottle of water to go and nice shoe to walk in. Once you get to the highest point and you look out to the city, it’s a very nice view. It’s great for family, friends, and couple to enjoy it.

Xochicalco is not as famous or as large as it's cousin, Teotihuacan, and it is an hour further away from CDMX (2 hours total). BUT, Xochicalco is much more intact and far less crowded. We arrived on a Saturday morning and had the entire archaeological site to ourselves, while a Saturday at Teotihuacan would be crazy. What Xochicalco offers that Teotihuacan's does not is 1) three original Aztec ball courts, 2) beautiful authentic and original representation of the Aztec stone reliefs on the pyramid's facade, and 3) very few other people. They also have a great museum to wander about, but it's a fair walking distance from the site entrance. Join this stop with other places in the area like the Cacahuamilpa Caves or Taxco.

This is my favorite pyramid sites to visit. This place has beautiful views. There is usually not a lot of foot traffic here so your experience should be peaceful, especially if you go on a weekday. I recommend going to the museum first then take in the pyramids. It seems to be warmer here so bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Enjoy!

We were there for the spring equinox and it was surprising to observe the astronomical management of our ancestors reflected in the pyramids that have maintained their pear shape for centuries.

Very beautiful ruins, and a good little museum. The QR code system is difficult to use because of poor signal on the mountain. I would strongly prefer having real guides or old school information boards.

Be sure to get your tickets at the right, before going left to the entrance, it is 1 km walk. Sometimes I think they enhanced and the new restored version exceeded the original pyramids. Not much to see, a lot of theoretical ideas of archaelogists. The gov;t spent a lot of money but the local people don;t give it much care.

If you're into old history. An archaeological site like this one so something to see. Rebuilt to look like the way it looked back then some of the sites are really well kept. There are tour guides that explain to people what they used to do at at this location. They let you walk on some of the sites as well which is really really great. The views are breathtaking and something you should really think about doing and then going to see. Try to visit this location at least once in your lifetime.
