This Moxy was the last stop on my 4 week Portugal and Spain Mediterranean road trip before heading back to San Francisco. The location is perfect as it is only 5-10 minutes away from the airport. I liked the colorful and chic Christmas deco in the lobby, quite eye catching! After checking in, I went to a nearby restaurant for dinner and it was safe for an evening walk. The breakfast was just OK, as I had an early international flight, so I only had a few items. It is perfect for an overnight stay! If you visit Lisbon for a few days, Lisbon Marriott is very good! Cheers!

Found right next to the Oriente train station it is easy to get. Surprised by the size of my room, fairly big. Bed was nice and, to me, comfy. Slept well. Bathroom fairly small, but absolutely adequate. Only had a brief night's stay, but will return for 4 more nights and see how that feels. Would have like a small work desk, rather than the tiny shelf offered.

Super convenient location - right next to orient station and not far from airport. We drove here and later to airport to return the car, one caution is that navigation software leads to the other side of the building, from which there was no access, so you have to go straight , look for the building and make a u-turn. Check in was fast, welcome drink and hip feeling. Wish there could be a mini bar, other than that, perfect, not sure why only 3 star, could be a 4 star - maybe no restaurant?

Great location for those who need to be close to the train/bus station or who will attend an event in the Altice Arena. The hotel is clean and smells good. The staff is thoughtful. The bedroom is clean and has a comfortable bed. The size is good. We also managed to get a great view to the ocean. The breakfast is good, not great but it works! Definitely will return.

Nice for the price! Across from Orient Station, so it is convenient to the airport and many popular areas. The hotel has a young, hip vibe but also caters to more seasoned travelers who want the basics in a safe environment. The rooms are small and spartan, but sufficient and clean. Decent breakfast included and you get a welcome cocktail at check in. Staff is accommodating, even if not overly welcoming.

Good location for the airport or train if you are getting in late or leaving early. They have a nice gym for working out 24/7 which was great for jet lagged travelers that need help getting to sleep. The bed was comfy but the rooms leave a lot to be desired, not a great layout and the bathroom is small. Unfortunately, I also lost a pair of glasses in the room somehow and they were never found.

The good - location is convenient to Oriente train station across the street; some of the staff are friendly and helpful. The not good - room design has no chairs with backs, nowhere to unpack your clothes, few of the features of a hotel room. And some genuinely odd things - a spring on the bathroom door to keep it closed that squeaks loudly enough to wake whoever you're sharing the room with. It genuinely felt to me like an upscale hostel rather than a hotel.

A very nice and good hotel to stay. Staff is super friendly. Yes, it’s a special young concept. This is what you need to expect. But it is also what you pay … so a very good place for the money you pay. The train station is 100 meters (you don’t hear it) and the airport is just a 10 minutes taxi drive away. There is a big shopping mal 5 minutes walking and the sea about 10 minutes walking. A perfect spot for staying short term. Remark: I was not in the city center. So no idea if the connection is good to go there.

I think I really love this hotel. The room was well decorated, staff was nice. My friend and I both got a free drink upon arrival. We were able to purchase some food/wine at the grocery store nearby and eat them at the lobby. At one point we kept asking them for ice at the bar. Staff did not mind it at all. I love this hotel because: nice decor, nice staff, I get to bring food to eat in lobby.

Clean and safe hotel, nice atmosphere, cool staff. Nice firm bed. Quite quiet room also but stayed 15th floor and not near elevator. A varied breakfast, lots of options for a vegetarian. Around the hotel nice restaurants and a big mall. Such an easy access from airport and to train station. An easy place to start a journey.

The hotel is nice. Lovely decor, staff were willing and able with checkouts and checkins. Complimentary cocktail was delicious! Breakfast was average at best but good enough. Rooms were nice but could hear neighbors above moving around. Location is perfect for anyone wanting to get around Lisbon. The immediate area has nothing to offer from a tourist perspective. We stayed here to be close to the arena where we watched Blink 182, so its purpose was spot on.

Smaller and w fewer amenities than most Moxy hotels but gets the job done and there are some decent restaurants and even a mall nearby. Great place to stay if you need to be near airport. The 24 hour bar/restaurant in the lobby is v convenient.

Cheap hotel, sugar-coated as “chic”, but just a very thin layer of coating over the cheapness, as thin as their noise insulation, letting you hear every train passing nearby. Tiny room - about half the size of a regular hotel room. With a tiny window for you to peek through - about a quarter or smaller of your regular hotel windows. No bottled water, no coffee machine, nothing at all, just a bare room, do not have any expectations. No “complimentary cocktail”, nor free breakfast. Breakfast provides only minimum. The only convenient thing is the location. Won’t try any Moxy anymore, this is worse than other cheap lines like La Quinta Inn.

This is a hip hotel from Marriott, designed for younger travellers but clearly frequented by business travellers as well. Very easy to access as it is just beside the train station. The welcome cocktail was delicious! Very accommodating for early check-in. Rooms are as expected in Europe - small with a modest bathroom. The food at the bar downstairs was decent, and there is plenty of seating at tables allowing you to get work done in the lobby. Our room was quiet, and was not facing the train station. The bed was comfortable, and the black out blinds worked well. Their outlets allow for North American plugs, and they also have USB-A charging ports. For those travelling with medications requiring special handling (ie, ice packs or medication fridge), the hotel staff do not make you feel self conscious when asking for your ice packs to be frozen. No explanations needed - they’ll just tag and freeze your ice pack! It’s a small gesture that goes a long way to make you feel comfortable. It took them about 5-10 minutes to retrieve the ice pack when I needed it on check-out.

We chose to stay at Moxy Lisboa on the last day of our trip to Portugal due to the proximity to the airport and public transit. The hotel was clean and nice. The thermostat does not allow the occupant to turn on the AC to cool the room and there are no windows you can open. When I asked the front desk staff about cooling the room they said if I turn off the system it will blow cool air. We got hardly any sleep due to how hot the room was which was not a great start to our journey home to the west coast of the USA. Our stay was in February so they could have the AC turned off in winter? The night was miserable none the less.

The hotel is located right by the CP Train station, the Metro, a Mall and several oceanfront restaurants as well as a stadium. Loved the location. The breakfast was so-so. As all Moxy hotels the rooms are very quaint and small, but efficient. There are no washcloths (if that is something important to you) and all the AC outlets are euro plugs, but there are USB-A plugs and I was able to charge my phone and apple watch using those. The bar is open 24 hours and you can also get light food any time of night there as well. I would stay again by myself, but the two bed rooms are only twin beds. Overall, decent and I got for a good price! Also, its only 3 stops from the airport by Metro. It’s around 15-20 min to historic city center as well by metro. By the train at Lisboa Oriente station to Sintra is under 3 euros and takes 45 min

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Small gestures go long way and you can experience that here. The location is also perfect as you have the central station and the biggest shopping centre both at a 5 minutes walking distance, the airport is 20 minutes by cab

This is like an Aloft hotel, very interesting & unique. The staff is super helpful & friendly. Romino the bartender recommended a restaurant on the water, we went the same night & the food & service was outstanding. I loved the beverages selection with single servicing drinks or you could purchase an entire bottle. The fact that you are across the street from the train station & huge mall are extra bonuses.

We stayed 4 nights at the Moxy Hotel Oriente. We had the standard room queen bed. Both me and my partner has travelled a lot. We live in Stockholm, Sweden, and have been everywhere for from New York, Florida, Chicago to London, Barcelona, Norway, Egypt and Italy. This Hotel is what you see. Its a Marriott hotel but with a trendy concept. Almost brand new building and rooms. Modern. Great hotel, the staff is kind and will try to help you! We got the floor 12, with view to see the sea! It was really warm in the room but we got 1-2 fans from the reception! Helped so much! Went from extremely warm inside the room to perfect 16degrees. Outside it was 39 degrees one of day. The housekeeping who cleaned our room everyday in 4 nights most have been amazing! So nice and clean in general! Everyone who complains should try to think twice! It’s 3 star! It’s great! Thank you // Andrè and Ludvig

It's very sad that some of the people in this hotel are very rude. They even misbehaved in their bathroom to ask for a medicine box that cut my leg. There is no privacy here as the cleaner enters the room without knocking on the door. The price of the hotel is very low which can be known as a budget hotel for any traveler

Nicely located near the airport and Oriente railway stations. Also nearby is a big shopping mall with the usual brand stores and a supermarket. Safe area. Hip and trendy style hotel with 24/7 service (with some basic food/snack options). Room was basic, modern and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. John made me a fresh coffee at 4:30 in the morning, right before takeoff to the airport. Perfect hotel for a 1-night stay in combination with air/train travel.

My recent stay at this hotel was disappointing. The staff lacked basic customer service skills and seemed disinterested in working there. My room wasn't cleaned thoroughly and lacked the basic amenities of other hotels-microwave, fridge, closet and iron. The breakfast was underwhelming. I forced myself to indulge because I paid for it in advance. Last, but not least, there was mold on the wall above the bed headboard. When I attempted to address ANYTHING with the staff, they acted as if they didn't understand me. If you need a quick “commuter stay motel” this is it. But if you expect luxury or comfort on your vacation, look elsewhere. *I’ve also addressed the issues with the hotel after the stay and the mold was dismissed as a stain. I was given a few points. I held off on posting this review until having a conversation with the management.

Cute hotel. Right in front of the Oriente station, very close to the water front where are numerous restaurants and bars, but not the old town of Lisbon. The room is quite small and simple but well designed and comfortable. Good for a couple of nights. Breakfast is good.

Long time Marriott guest. The are two general issues with this hotel, and one related to my status: 1) air conditioning is limited at 20°, but doesn't cool to that temp. Had to open the window at night to get cooler air. 2) noise. This is not a building constructed with the normal standards for noise reduction and materials separation. Could hear the vacuum of the cleaning team one for above, as well as people opening and closing their bathroom doors around me. 3) late checkout was difficult. Still don't know if I have it, and I check out tomorrow morning.

Good location. Fire alarm went off at 2 AM (someone wanted to smoke in room) Front desk left us standing outside for 44 min. Rooms are small and not super clean. Probably would stay elsewhere next time.

Location is the only thing this place has going for itself. Rooms are extremely tiny, no coffee or water in the room. We had a super tiny room with two twin beds- accommodating 3 guests. Sleeping was a nightmare. Not sure which world do they think 3 guests can sleep on 2 twin beds. Beds were spring mattress, broke the back next day. Thank god we were in the room for only about 12-15 hours.

You can’t beat the location, that’s why I am giving (5) stars for location. Everything is close by and the metro, bus, and train are across the street. Ton of restaurants and the mall near by! - I am giving (2) stars for rooms. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in without fridge, iron or iron board, and NO A/C. A Marriott without cold air conditioning during the summer is unbearable. - The fellas at the front desk are always helpful and very nice. The gym is perfect for a workout and the hotel is very clean.

the location is great! right in front of the bus/train/metro station. and you can move easily from here to anywhere in Lisbon or Portugal itself. The hotel is nicely decorated, very chic. Food is just fine. Not that many good options for gluten free unfortunately. Staff is nice. Rooms are noisy when staff is outside cleaning

  • 1/5 J D. 1 year ago on Google
No air conditioning in any of the rooms. Only heating. If you're a hot sleeper you won't sleep well here. Front desk's solution was to just leave the heater off and it will eventually become cooler. Marriotts official website even lists air conditioning as a room amenity. Feels like some false advertising to me moxy. This hotel feel like a cheap hostel but they charge you overpriced hotel rates.

Very Cool hotel especially for the pet friendly service. Location perfectly nested with bus service train station and taxis. 15 mins to airport. Awesome restaurants, local Mall and river walk with entertainment sky ride and more.

I absolutely loved my visit here! The front desk clerks were super sweet and helpful and my complimentary drink was delicious. One of the nights there was an event in the lobby, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Nice music, performers on stilts and great hors d'oeurves. I would definitely recommend this stay. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated

The staff are great. But the room was too hot and I could not sleep. The window barely opened and the AC was blocked to change. Inside the room was probably around 25C. Being in a hotel that do not prioritize the wellbeing and comfort of the guest it loses all the purpose. Too much design for not so much comfort.

New hotel with rooms rather on the smaller side but sufficient for a 1 - 3 nights stay. Rooms were clean, but construction (next door) can be heard. Breakfast was OK, but it was difficult to get a seat once it's busy. For my feeling a bit understaffed, as wait for a drink at the bar was quite long

  • 4/5 Kate F. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are nice and clean and in good condition. The floor has no carpet so it's much cleaner/easier for staff to clean with a mop with wipes. Very good blackout curtains. Shower was adequate - decent flow rate but not that powerful. Easy to get in and out with only a small step in. Bar downstairs served until late in the night/ early in the morning. Good soft drinks and food - microwave also in bar area for heating food purchased on site. Access a bit confusing from the bus station; we ran across the road but I think if you walk to the corner there's a crossing area!

I wanted to say how clutch this hotel been. We got stuck in Portugal and this hotel had a room at 11 am. The front desk personnel was amazing especially Daniel! Guy was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were very cozy and trendy. Very clean and the hotel has its own style. I wish I stayed here for my trip.

The Moxy is a very stylish hotel with very kind and patient staff. There were some problems with my reservation from my side but it was not a problem. The room was clean & spacious and the breakfast was also good. An underground station is very near and the hotel is easily accessible from the airport.

  • 4/5 Peggy S. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent location - from Oriente station across the street you can go anywhere. Mall with food court (top floor) across street from station. Hotel has very friendly & helpful staff. Reasonable & clean rooms. Not fancy, but perfect for us.

It is a little bit outside of downtown but it is so close to the airport. It is very convenient. Walking down towards the water there are all kinds of food options. The rooms are kind of small, but very cute and comfortable and clean. And downstairs is nice because there are a lot of open public area, and a good bar.
