We spent a wonderful week in an apartment. We were in a two bedroom two bathroom room. The apartment was very well appointment, spacious and clean. The apartment was serviced every day. There’s almost too much to mention. The highlights for us were - the Champagne bar. Open every night and an amazing place to sit and watch the sunset after a hard day laying on the beach - the service. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone we met was well trained and friendly - the beach. Okay not actually part of the hotel but its close by (although the walk isn’t for the faint hearted). The hotel has its own beds and towels there so I think it justifies a mention

I am currently holidaying in this resort having traveled from the west of Ireland with my wife and 3 teenagers. We are staying in a 2 bed garden apartment on the first floor overlooking a fabulous pool (one of many). Having researched this resort and read a multitude of reviews, I felt it time to write my first ever review to advise other holidaymakers. The reviews, promotional material and website do not do this place justice. Pine cliffs is a stunning resort!!! Beautifully maintained, extremely comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Staff are friendly and work hard to keep such a big resort working efficiently. I played nine holes on pine cliffs golf course this morning with my son (I won 2up) it’s a short course with stunning scenery, I would recommend white tees for low to mid handicap golfers. It is expensive here, we were aware of this so we eat out every other night with a very well serviced supermarket just an 8 iron from our apartment for breakfast and lunch. The beach is a healthy walk away and so far we’ve had no difficulty getting sun loungers, I was prepared to reserve loungers at a cost but this was not necessary.. The resort does take time to navigate, I quite enjoy this as it throws up a few nice surprises. Hope this has been a helpful review.

Really surprised this is listed as a 5 star, when it clearly isn’t. Everything around the hotel is nice enough. Ok restaurants / bars, but nothing to write home about. The best bit is the location / views across the beach is breathtaking and the beach not overcrowded. Also, nice touch with the glass elevator to the beach. The rooms, however, look very dated and tacky. I am not sure if it’s been refurbished since the 70s/80s — and we had more of the better/expensive rooms. Quite disappointed with what we got. Staff is hit or miss. You get some who are super helpful and nice, or they are almost too strict and non-flexible. English with some of the staff can also be a bit hit or miss - which is surprising as most of the guests seem to speak English.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I have been coming to Pine Cliffs for 21 years and since the pandemic this hotel has gone from 5 stars to 1 star! The service is terrible and the food is absolutely disgusting. The prices are ridiculous for the cheap food they serve you. You feel as though you are staying in premier inn! I am so disappointed that when I complained to the hotel they did nothing to compensate me for my troubles. I even showed them a photo of one of the meals where the chicken was pink and undercooked leaving me feeling ill and they did nothing to compensate. They even have ants crawling all over the food at the buffets. I went to both the ocean suits pool and the corda cafe pool and both had no cushions on the sun beds which was very uncomfortable. There is also no pool service so if you need anything you have to get up and goto the restaurant leaving your possessions unattended too by the pool. This is by far the worst hotel in the World let alone Portugal. Will never be coming back. Please read this and do not waste your money here!

We stayed here for three nights and had three rooms in the G suites. Overall, the service was average. The rooms were OK. But the G suites were very far from the hotel and the beach. However, when you wanted to call for transportation, almost certainly I never was able to reach anyone. The one time we took the shuttle The wait was 30 minutes. The only time they use the golf carts was to drop you off after checking in. It’s almost impossible to get a beach chair after 1130. Additionally, they messed up our reservation for a sightseeing tour. And getting a hold of the concierge or front desk was next to impossible. No one ever picked up. It’s a beautiful property, fantastic ocean and view. But… Didn’t seem like a top quality Hotel.

Our November retreat surpassed expectations at every turn. The hotel's surroundings were nothing short of mesmerizing, providing a visual feast for the senses. The rooms, notably spacious and comfortable, became a cozy haven during our stay. What made our experience even more delightful was our ocean-facing room, where a gentle breeze from the sea created the perfect atmosphere. The staff's friendliness was a highlight, although a few exhibited a reserved demeanor. Nevertheless, their attentiveness contributed positively to our overall impression. Dining experiences at the hotel's restaurants were good, albeit leaning towards the pricier end. For those seeking culinary adventures, venturing into town for meals proved to be a rewarding choice. A standout recommendation among the hotel's offerings was "O Pescador," a dining gem that left a lasting impression with its exceptional cuisine. In summary, our stay was a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and local exploration. The memories of breathtaking views, comfortable accommodations, and culinary delights will linger, making this retreat an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a well-rounded and enriching getaway.

The entire resort is beautiful and very well taken care of with lots and lots of nature around. It has 8 pools, a huge grass area under pine trees, one of the best gyms I’ve seen in a hotel (including an indoor pool), stunning views, a long beach (unlike many other hotels in the area), and it offers a lot of dine-out options that really do not disappoint; wherever we’ve eaten within the resort, the food was delicious and the ambience on point. Considering that there aren’t any high-quality restaurants immediately around the resort, this was especially important to us. The rooms are a little old-school but spacious, comfortable and with character. Only downside: There was no coffee machine in the room, and the staff for anything that concerns room service and house keeping is really slow.

I really wanted to like this hotel but there are a many issues holding back a 5 star experience. We stayed here for 4 nights during late March and the weather and beach were amazing. However, this is shoulder season and way too many amenities at this hotel are closed. The outdoor pools are not heated, and the two restaurants that were open were over-priced. Much better meal if you walk a half mile off property and eat at several restaurants across the street. Speaking of walking, be prepared to walk a lot here - I easily logged 10k steps each day. Service was ok, not great. Felt like the resort wanted more money for each activity (have to buy a swim cap or rent golf shoes), give me a break. That’s not how to win a return visit from our family. The resort shut off the water in our building the last day with no notice or communication. That was enough for me to motivate this review. Would not recommend and will stay somewhere else on a return visit.

Perfect place for a perfect vacation. Situated in one of the most beautiful landscape of Algarve Pine Cliffs this hotel is so relaxing and beautiful you can't stand not to fall in love with it. The property is huge. It is very secluded and calm. All 4 restaurants of the hotel are great, thought I myself have a preference. I was sitting in the central terrace one, it was with mexican touch. Beautiful rooms, spacious with private terrace to watch a sunrise. Should be the best place to stay in Algarve

The place was really great. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were really beautiful and clean. Service was great. Views were fantastic. But when I called to get a bucket of ice I was told there would be a 12 Euro service charge. I thought that was outrageous. I have seen that before in other places and perhaps that is the trend but it is a terrible trend and needs to be stopped immediately especially at such a nice place. (There was no way for me to get the ice myself. As there were no ice machines available)

For what you pay, this is a pretty subpar hotel and overall experience. Stayed here for 3 nights during my honeymoon and was pretty underwhelmed. There were screaming kids everywhere - this spot is for families and not for couples. They also hosted a private event outside that played booming music until 11 pm. We ended up getting a rental car and leaving the resort every chance we could. The absolute worst part of this place is that they nickel and dime you for EVERHTHING! I had to confirm a transport service and the call center was international (was not aware of this), used the hotel room phone and was on hold for 15 minutes. Ended up getting hit with a ~$100 phone bill. It’s easy to complain so I won’t too much, but long story short this place isn’t worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend a stay here.

The hotel is OK at best - definitely not a 5 star and definitely does not align to what other Marriott Luxury Collections have in store for guests. Rooms and furniture is outdated, only 1 pool is heated which is indoor and the water outdoor is not comfortable enough to float. Breakfast is really bad for a 5 start establishment…like really bad. Some food is clearly left out for a while and it’s a complete mess with serving spoons - especially during COVID - staff should take greater care of how people serve themselves. We had to ask a server to come over each time for drinks. They also don’t seems to acknowledge Marriott status. I was suppose to have premium internet, welcome drink and an upgrade room and nothing was mentioned. Its okay if a room is not available but at least an acknowledgement would have been nice. I’m sure it’s great for families, but not for a young couple. There are no adult-only pools even though they have 8 swimming pools. The best part about this resort is the champagne lounge with amazing views and a nice beach. If you want to explore outside I’d recommend getting a car. Better bang for your buck elsewhere.

I’m really struggling with these fabulous reviews of Pine Cliffs. Maybe it’s because we used points plus cash or maybe it’s because we booked an apartment vs the main hotel but this is not the 5 star category or experience we expected. The apartment is bare bones. Bare. It has a kitchen and laundry sure, but no accessories for such amenities. Nothing to wash your dishes with. No kitchen towels, no paper towels, no dish soap or sponge, no dishwasher tabs, no trash bags, nothing. No coffee, or filters. Brought my own laundry soap, luckily. On day one we told them that the a/c in the main living room wasn’t working and that the coffee maker was broken, it was never addressed. We slipped out during the day and called for housekeeping, that never happened. It’s blazing hot here right now, so expecting us to be gone for an 8 hour housekeeping window is just insane. It takes forever to get a shuttle when you call for it. Like I said we are out in the perimeter in the apartments so maybe the main hotel would have been easier? The restaurants are insanely expensive with pretty mediocre food, so that was disappointing. I don’t mind paying for good food, so we went off campus mostly. Lots of great dining choices in town. My daughter got pretty sick. The hotel has a great nurses office who was able to make us a dr appointment nearby within an hour and gave me great directions on how to get there. It was a 5 minute drive. That’s a wonderful service to have on campus. The beach is lovely, the grounds are well kept, but beyond that, it was pretty disappointing.

Amazing resort. Superior service, food, amenities, everything. We absolutely had a wonderful time here and cannot wait to come back. Would highly recommend renting a cabanas on the beach (shout out to Paolo) and getting a pitcher of red sangria, the champagne bar, free breakfast buffet, the beach restaurant, and steakhouse. Very memorable trip for us. We do not want to leave.

Hotel was nice. But, we booked because we were traveling with small kids. We chose to stay here due to their cooking school, pirate playground and mini golf course. Since we were there in the off season, the cooking school and pirate playground were closed. We were notified about the cooking school, they were unwilling to open for us. The pirate playground we received zero notification about. The mini golf course was not well maintained. Pools were not heated, so were too cold for our kids. Additionally, we asked for recommendations from the concierge. We trekked to one of the hotels, walked almost 1km and arrived to a closed restaurant. The recommendation was given a week before our trip. So, hotel was good. Breakfast buffet was as good. But, communication and off season amenities were severely lacking.

A very nice resort and location. Rooms were well appointed. It is a large resort. Not boutique in any sense. The access to the Cliffs and ocean are superb. Service overall was excellent...champagne bar offers great views.

Absolutely nothing about this hotel could be described as luxury, except for the price tag, which is totally unjustified. Price gouging at every opportunity. £3.50 for water, £2.00 for chocolate bar, £13.50 for a few cheap beach toys, £5 for a swim cap you must use in their single heated pool, £160 pp for Chef's Table dinner. (We paid £95 pp for a Michelin star restaurant in Lisbon!) Upon arrival, check-in took about 30 mins. We arrived about 45 mins before check in time and were told our room wasn't ready yet. They said they'd call us when the room was ready, so we decided to get something to eat while we waited. We never received the call so we went back to reception after our meal and found our room was ready. Rooms are okay. Sofas and chairs were dirty. No laundry soap for machine, no paper towels or dish cloth, tea towel for kitchen use. No first aid kit. Despite checking in with a baby, there was no infant cot set up in the room. I asked the bellboy for the cot and despite promising to bring it up right away, we never received it. One hour later, I called reception asked for one right away, as our little one was cranky waiting for his afternoon nap, and we had to wait an additional 20 mins. Europe's top family resort? No. Try the Martinhal resorts instead. Pine Cliffs has way too many stairs, making the hotel inaccessible for stroller use. The only saving grace for this hotel is the beach. Overall, value is just not there. I regret staying at this hotel. It feels like a waste of money. Would not recommend.

One of the most beautiful resorts on the beautiful pine cliff with a nice beach downstairs. Their champagne sunset bar is amazing although overpriced and the service is a bit behind overall. Great breakfast and the facilities overall however many of those were just closed. Super comfy beds.

It’s not a good choice to stay here as a five star hotel category. The check in process looks straight forward, however, as all the apartments are scattered everywhere in the nearly 2 miles radius. Thus a large amount of walk needed to get to the flat from the main reception. They do have a shuttle bus but you will need to request. However, when we carry several suitcases on the check in day, the receptionist didn’t arrange a shuttle car for us even it’s not a busy day and the car was in stand-by. The guy who drives the shuttle is very helpful and polite. The way to breakfast room is like labyrinth, the quality of breakfast is just okay. Potatoes cake and mushroom is hard and not tasty. Also on the checkout day, I requested a breakfast box for my family. The staff says it will be charged. Oh, that’s surprising. With the same price range, there are plenty of alternative options along the coastline.

Enjoyed my time there with family. Friendly and courteous staff. The facilities were great. Loved going down to the beach. It was cheaper for us to visit Fairways as members to eat than using the restaurants. We found that out during our last visit. The food is good but on the pricey side. Most of the restaurants were closed due to the time we came over on this occasion. There's a football field at one end where the boys went and played with other guests.

One of the most exquisite resorts with golf course in the famous Portuguese Riviera, the Algarve! Absolutely stunning! Excellent restaurants and efficient and friendly service. Definitely should be in your list.

As a professional wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing magical moments in countless venues. However, I must say that my recent experience at the Pine Cliffs Algarve was truly exceptional. This exquisite resort is a haven for couples seeking the perfect backdrop for their special day. From the moment I stepped foot onto the property, I was captivated by the sheer beauty and elegance that permeates every corner of the Pine Cliffs. The stunning coastal location, with breathtaking views of the Algarve cliffs and the shimmering Atlantic Ocean, creates an unrivaled atmosphere of romance and enchantment. Ff you are getting married in the algarve, i recommend you to visit this hotel. it will be a wonderful place for your big day

Unfortunately, the quality of the service doesn't really match the beauty of this hotel and location. Great gym, gorgeous views, and an impeccably landscaped grounds but some of the least warm experiences I've had at a hotel of this caliber. Also, if you don't look Portuguese (even if you speak it), you should practice your English before you go; the hotel seems to have a policy where the staff only speak English to you if you look like a foreigner.

Top two favorite hotels! The restaurant has this large breakfast, it fills you up literately all day so you just get hungry around dinner time, which gives you a nice chunk of time to relax and site see before you bed to grab dinner again. The pizza downstairs is great too!!

  • 4/5 Joe B. 1 year ago on Google
Stunning property, beautiful location. Service gets 3 stars not because of staff, but the resort doesn't open all the restaurants all the time. The ones that are open end up crowded and loud, and limits the food options. At least you can Uber off-site quickly and economicly to enjoy the local flavors.

Fabulous grounds. Gorgeous. Right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants, bars and even one on the beach. One if the nicest most relaxing Marriott hotels I've stayed at in the world. Great spa and 9 hike golf course.

Basically a very good hotel with a great garden with lots of sunbathing under pine trees and a beautiful beach. Great bar with a beautiful view of the cliffs. Deduction of the rating for the rather weak breakfast buffet and the unsuitable price-performance ratio of the gastronomy on the hotel area. for max. half the cost, however, there are fantastic real Portuguese restaurants directly in front of the hotel.

  • 4/5 Sebastian T. 7 months ago on Google
Vast hotel that is meticulously maintained. Big and dramatic beach with onsite golf course. Cleaning staff do an unbelievable job. Loses a star because breakfast is basic, needs to be elevated and it’s a major fight for beds on the beach. We also had poor spa experience which left a bad taste to service.

We came here in August and we were stunned by the surroundings and the views of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, beds were also comfortable and all rooms were air conditioned - although ours was facing the ocean and it caught a good draft so the breeze kept the room nice and cool. The pool is very busy during the day during peak season so I would highly recommend going down to the beach as there are sun beds owned by the hotel there. Staff here were all friendly, although some were slightly cold. Restaurants were pretty good albeit on the pricier end. If you can, head out to town for meals. The only restaurant t I'd say is worth a try is the "O Pescador"

Really excellent stay in the residences. Very large beautiful apartment, daily cleaning service. Great pools indoor and outdoor and heated. Super beach. Staff all very nice. Great complimentary shuttle bus around the complex. Things on-site are expensive as you’re expected but very good restaurants just outside. Only small quibble was TVs are quiet old so can’t watch Netflix on them, but that is very minor.

Terrible place and service. We booked a specific room in advance and checked three times upon arrival and didn’t get the rooms at check-in. The manager at the desk was very unhelpful and wasted 4 hours of our time to show us 4-5 rooms that had very low standard and even asked us to pay to access the spa if we were to change rooms. Very poor and unprofessional service and low standard room! Clearly not a luxury hotel. Will never go back again

We had a great holiday here, staying in one of the "deluxe town houses", which was delightful, with a really nice patio that we used a lot (see picture). It was very well-equipped, quiet and comfortable, though we noticed that the town houses vary a bit, and others did not have such a private patio as ours did. Staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. However - don't eat here! The various hotel restauants are grossly overpriced and not of good quality. Right outside the gates there are numerous excellent restaurants where you can eat much better food at half the price. We were on a self-catering basis, and there is a well-stocked supermercado just outside the gates, so we made our own breakfast and (sometimes) lunch. If you do fancy a drink or a coffee in the beautiful hotel grounds, then do so by all means, in the knowledge that you are paying for the convenience, ambience and the view.

The property is beautiful, but this was the worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had. There used to be a time when loyalty mattered. I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at marriott properties worldwide and they couldn’t be bothered. This was supposed to be a special treat stay for our anniversary and this room is dark, dirty, outdated, dusty, in a forgotten corner of the property. They charged me 66,000 points for their worst room. I asked for a an upgrade (normal with my platinum status) , They said they were “sold out” when the property is definitely not crowded. The staff is friendly- I just can’t stand being lied to. Just tell me you don’t give nice rooms to people booking with points! Marriott bonvoy also eliminated their suite upgrade program after the pandemic. I have at least 6 nights of upgrades I should be able to use - they are no where to Be found. The location is beautiful, just don’t expect to be treated kindly. Also to be mentioned is that it’s RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Everything is mediocre at best.

Pine Cliffs, for those who are regulars in Algarve, is one of the best places to stay in entire region. The hotel has that quintessential Mediterranean feel, and as much as I like boutique hotels, this more Portuguese influenced design hits the mark. The staff is cream of the crop, they have to be, to cater to the types of clients that go there. What I love (and I imagine most others as well), is the exceptional cliffside location, including the sunset bar, and the experience of the taking the elevator to the beach, which happens to be one of the nicest stretches of sand in all of Europe. Yes, it is more expensive, and sometimes significantly so, than other options, but you get what you pay for, and here it's about a special experience and feeling a little bit of magic.

This is our 3rd visit and just love coming back. The hotel is great with excellent very attentive staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Superb food with wide selection available. However.... it seems a great shame that the hotel seems to have 'relaxed' it's previous ruling on - 'gentleman's smart casual wear' in the evening (ie - no shorts to be worn in the restaurant )

Lovely big hotel hotel and suites which are very well maintained. This hotel does have security gates, which makes you feel safe. Lovely view of the sea. If I had been staying at this hotel the only thing that would be putting me off is there was a lot of building work going on and it is not an adult only hotel

The soberest place on earth. About as many children as Disneyland and about as difficult to get a drink too. Don’t let the 5* status and the chic photos fool you, this place is very much designed to be a high-end adventure camp for screaming babies and toddlers. At breakfast. By the pool. At dinner. At all times. The experience of adults without children has not really been considered. For example there are 6 pools (maybe more?) but none are adults-only. Most sun loungers are uncomfortable with no mattress. Almost impossible to get served a drink either poolside or on the beach loungers. I spent the whole day there twice and was offered 0 drinks. In other, cheaper, resorts waiters come over at the touch of a button. Even in the bars, service can be very slow. I honestly came prepared to spend so much money on €18 cocktails and am now bringing that all back home with me. The food in nearby restaurants just outside the resort is also much nicer and better value for money. Breakfast was not 5*. I can see why it works well for certain families, particularly those spending points rather than cash, but I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

I have mixed feelings about the Pine Cliffs resort. The actual property is spectacular, with a beautiful beach accessible by elevator and stairs. Plenty of golf and tennis and the indoor gym and pool were new and very clean. We booked a two bedroom condo that was spacious, updated, had laundry and full kitchen (fully stocked with everything need to cook in the condo) and had a fabulous balcony overlooking a fountain and gardens. As expected, everything was overpriced, and food mediocre, but served a purpose if you didn’t want to go off property. We ate at the local restaurants off premises for dinner, which were affordable and excellent. What really left a bad taste in our mouth were some of the practices by the front desk staff. Upon arrival, the clerk immediately tried to upsell us by stating that there were newer rooms now available in the main hotel. We thought it was an upgrade because we were Marriott Bonvoy members. He informed us that the property we booked was not a Marriott property, and we wouldn’t get points, and we would also have to pay an extra $30 Euros per person to use the indoor pool and gym at the spa. He also said there were no amenities other than toiletries, implying that beach access and chairs would be additional. And the new suggested room would be an additional $230 Euros per night. We immediately spoke with Guest Services, who confirmed we did not have to pay additional to use the gym or beach, and that we had access to all the facilities so we kept our original room which was perfect and saved $560 Euros. On checkout, our daily rate was incorrect, and when we told the front desk clerk, she was not surprised and said, ‘Oh we’ve been having problems with our rates in our system’. No mention of this beforehand, and if I hadn’t questioned this, Pine Cliffs would have been a few hundred dollars richer. Would most likely not stay again because of these practices.

Beautiful location, amazing scenery. Unfortunately we had issues with the electrics in two room and the cleaning service. We was on a half board stay, breakfast was good, dinner in corde cafe wasn't so enjoyable. Maybe will stay again in the future purely for the scenery and location.

On our trip to Algarve Portugal we stayed for 3 days at Pine Cliffs Hotel in Albufeira. This was a massive property with multiple type of room options – we stayed in a 2 floor suite ! Favourite features of the property are : 1. Incredible Beach & Sunset 2. Portuguese Design Elements 3. Cliffside Bar 4. Stunning Garden 5. Multiple Pools & Restaurants

This was one of the best hotels we've stayed at, which is saying a lot considering we travel the world for a living. We also rarely want to go back to the same place twice, but we are already talking about a family trip for everyone to enjoy at this beautiful resort! I absolutely cannot wait to come back.

A resort with good standing in Algarve but not for everyone’s profile: it has many families with small kids, so it can get a bit noisy at times (we had babies crying in the adjacent rooms in the middle of the night) and even though it has everything inside…it is relatively far from any city outside. The plus points are for sure the comfort on having the beach right in front and accessible, but the fact that breakfast, lunch and dinner are always crowded plus the lack of space at the beach in the beach beds is a major issue…for the standing, it is tough to argue that clients need to plan are their stays in advance to profit from the amenities…

We stayed there on august 2021. +: fabulous place, rooms are spacious and well decorated, many amenities (pools, golf etc) and family friendly -: this is nothing like a 5 stars hotel. Impossible to get a sun bed unless you arrive before 9 am or if you are willing to pay 90€ to reserv them. Same goes with every single pools of the place. All restaurant were fully booked when we arrived. We managed in the end to eat at the beach restaurant: terribly overpriced and low quality. Everything is like this (ice cream at 8€…). We went to the Spa, low quality and high prices. Staff was not professional or willing to help. The breakfast is very basic, extremely noisy and you sometimes have to wait 30 minutes to get seated. We have been told that this place receives 2,600 people per day in August. They don’t have the capacities to manage this overflow. We payed 500€ per night which is way overpriced given the services we have received. I would not recommend at all.

We loved this resort so so much! It was clean, the view was amazing and the staff was very friendly! We had the beautiful suite with a stunning bathroom. The suite was spacious and calm. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever seen, big selection in high quality! We loved the beach but also the quiete area on the grass. We used the indoor pool every evening and the spa is very pretty! I was lucky there was no one else there because it’s rather small. We were also lucky with the most breathtaking sunset we enjoyed on the terrace of the champagne bar! We will keep a lot of wonderful memories of this place, thank you so much!

Just returned from a week at Pinecliffs. What a fantastic place. The setting is stunning, the beach is amazing with a great restaurant on it also. Every single member of staff were brilliant. We had a ground floor family suite which was right by the pool which was great having 3 young children with us. On day 3 we found out about the heated pool which the kids loved. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing resort! The green gardens are picture perfect and the view at the cliffs and the sea are breathe taking. A luxury resort for the whole family. Kids will have the best time in one of the many pools and the Pirate Playground. Loved it <3

Beautiful resort located on the cliffs with beach access. Lovely property with comfortable accommodations, various pools, a walking trail and restaurants. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Tiago was most courteous and helpful during check in and he and other staff members, Julia, Hugo and Mariana gave a wonderful first impression of Pine Cliffs. We stayed in the Ocean Suites and the Serenity Spa thermal area was very nice and relaxing, especially at the end of a day of exploring Algarve. Staff at the spa were nice and friendly. Mare restaurant is conveniently located right off the beach for a nice lunch with beach views. Be sure to catch the lovely sunsets at the champagne bar or on the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here.

Extremely recommend. Superb resort with nice restaurants and exceptional views. They even have an outdoor elevator that takes you down to the boardwalk that leads to the beach.

Best pool of the Algarve, with a large lawn shadowed by pine trees, on a cliff over the sea… that’s one of the many features that makes us come every year!

Speechless. What a top hospitality experience. Every element from the reception to the housekeeping is world class. Nothing more I need to say. You truely do get what you pay for here.

What an incredible venue. Charming, hospitable staff. Peaceful, decadent atmosphere. Outrageously comfortable beds. I look forward to my next visit.

Beautiful location, very nice place for a sunshine relaxing holidays. Clean and perfect services. Foods, especially seafoods are fresh, tasty. The only missing star here is because there is mo ocean view from most of the rooms and balcony, which is understandable as the facility is built on the cliffs bit far away from the beach.

The resort looks amazing and is always kept clean. The staff are always helpful and polite. The quality of the food is excellent. Bottles of water are left in the room every day (although we had 3 people staying in the room and only 2 bottles were left). The biggest problem is the prices, they are extortionate. By simply going outside the resort you can pay 1/2 the price you would pay in the resort. The bottled water is around 10 times that of the local shop.

My wife and I booked a 5 night stay at this hotel/resort. It was our first time here and didn’t know what to expect other than reviews I had read online. Greeted at the front door immediately by staff to assist with our luggage. No wait time to check in and due to my BonVoy status, I was offered an upgrade to a two level room, which consisted of a spacious living room, desk, full bathroom and spacious balcony on the bottom level. The top level consisted a spacious bedroom with another full bathroom and smaller balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable, I requested two additional pillows and they were deceived within 15 minutes. My wife and I had dinner at the Corda restaurant a number of nights and considered their food, service and pricing to be excellent. We had snacks and drinks at the Beach Club restaurant and their service also met orexceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have experienced for quality, variety, and service. Exceptional shout-out to the wait staff and hostess personnel at the breakfast buffet. It was extremely busy each morning; these fine staff worked efficiently and made our experience of having breakfast in a busy environment pleasurable. After the first day, we extended our stay from 5 to 6 days. The resort with its well manicured grass and gardens will hold a special place in our hearts and we are already talking about a return visit. The location of the hotel is in a quiet area a short distance from Albufeira. Thank you Pine Cliffs Hotel!

This place is huge! Five swimming pools, none of which are heated. To get to the beach you need to take an elevator and then walk down 13 sets of steps. Restaurants are good and cater to families. Definitely not for walking impaired.

What a beautiful resort it is. The resort is super huge and everywhere you go there's something beautiful to see. The staff is the most friendly staff I've experienced in The Algarve and the food at the restaurants is delicious. Hotel and pools are clean, which is super important to me. Sun beds were comfortable and there are enough beach umbrellas. Worth every penny and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Attended for a wedding, the resort was beautiful. It was huge with a number of pools, cliffside restaurants and bars around the grounds. Beautiful flowers and greenery. The views were phenomenal. Staff were attentive, professional and brilliant. Rooms were lovely, high standard and very clean. Good breakfast with plenty of choice for vegetarians too. Expensive hotel overall, and the additional services such as drinks and food around the resort (as one would expect) were too expensive. Overall though, great hotel.

Wow. Paradise on earth is an understatement!! Situated on a cliff top overlooking amazing beaches with amazing views along the coastline. A proper 5 star resort with everything you can think of for a perfect escape from the realities of our daily lives. Make use of and enjoy all the facilities including all the amazing pools, the pizzas and burgers at corda cafe and amazing seafood at O pescador. Go for an unforgettable experience and be prepared to spend some money. Our week here flew by too quickly for us. Definitely coming back

Beautiful resort in The Algarve. We stayed in the ocean suites section of the resort which had very nice rooms and a great view. The service was 5 star at the hotel and in the restaurants. The resort had multiple pools as well as it's own beach. Would definitely recommend staying at this resort.

Amazing views and beach ! The walk to the beach is stunning! The only problem I saw is that everything is to be paid separately on top of the hotel rates (tenis, paddle, beach chairs, kids club, golf , etc). Would have expected all facilities access without extras

Wonderful hotel for a family vacation. Lots of options and activities for kids. Walk to the beach is far but well worth it! Food is expensive (as expected on a resort like this) but it is easy enough to get into Albufeira where there are plenty of other dining options!

Had a shorter than expected holiday at this resort (thank you Covid-19), and really enjoyed the experience. It's a huge resort, so plenty to explore, with lots of pools and places to eat, including a fabulous beach restaurant, and variety with a bed on the lawn under the pine trees, near a pool or on the beach. Just loved it. The Yakuza, by Olivier, sushi restaurant is one of the finest I've ever eaten at.

Excellent venue and highly recommended. For golf, 9 beautiful holes. Remark in respect to lodging: full or half pensions will limit the amount to spend on the evening meal. It is recommended to mention that in a reservation confirmation to the guests. It is clearly understood that prices have gone up nowadays. There are excellent restaurants on the premises. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel. I always love the luxury collection hotels and this one did not disappoint. Room was very nice and the property was amazing. Couldn’t believe the views from the courtyard. Staff was amazing. Food was very good. Great stay overall, and you can’t beat it for the price!

Beautiful accommodation with also bigger rooms (we were in a spacious garden apartment with three bedrooms and three bathrooms) for families. Golf course is extra special with spectacular sea views from the cliff. Pine trees and gardens with flowers complete the exteriors of the resort into an oasis. Also cool: the adorable cats (healthy and fed) on the resort! Multiple swimming pools, a gym, 5 restaurants and lift to the beach complete the experience. Absolute great place to stay. Tip: also visit the restaurants in the street directly outside the resort. Great Italian and fish restaurants!

For an advertised price of €280 a night I would give this a miss. There are obvious short staffing issues that it would be unfair to mention given Covid and the current climate. But at a basic level for a luxury hotel I’d expect a shower that has more pressure than the tap, and shoots directly downward, not everywhere else. I’d also expect room service and front desk staff that don’t take four calls to get through to someone, an unstained couch and cups for the in room coffee machine to arrive before day two of the stay. The underpants on the tiles directly in front of our balcony are a nice touch.

This is a lovely property. The bedroom was spotless and serviced to a very high standard. The grounds and building are very well kept and beautiful. The beach is extremely pleasant and there was no problems getting a lounger each day. The biggest negative was breakfast. Chaotic and not managed well (as mentioned by many others). Service was good in some areas and not great in others. The food and drink is expensive but expected for this type of resort. Evenings can be a little quiet with not much entertainment or atmosphere in the bar. I would stay again, possibly when it was a little busier.
