This place can inspire faith. Never in my life have I felt more connection to the Catholic faith than I did here. Living in the states, I am very used to white Jesus, and have never really felt a connection with white Jesus. Here, they have many faces of Jesus. Also, the gardens are beautiful and filled with powerful energy. There were many vendors, and an outstanding gift shop

40qtz for foreigners, 4x more than locals at 10qtz. It’s not like we make 4x more money in other countries. Other than that a pretty little park with ruins.

Very interesting ruins. The entry is 20qtz wich is an okay price i would say. The best part of it is the view tho you get when you go to the library. You can take some very nice pictures of fuego, acatenango and agua. If you just want to see some good ruins i would say you go the the ones right next to the museum for colonial art right next to the central plaza.

By far, this is my favorite ruins/museum in Antigua. The museum allows you to tour the ruins of a once sprawling Convento de San Francisco. The Franciscans started their work here in the mid-1500s. Their famous member, Hermano Pedro, did his social work in the 1600s. The museum itself honors Pedro, who is now canonized. Allow lots of time. The amount of exhibits and history overwhelms. The Hall of Miracles moved me to tears. Not just a few people, but thousands, owe a debt of gratitude for the healing ministry of Pedro which still continues. Two other churches and a prayer center share the same grounds as the Museum. You can spend the whole day right here.

I was very confused. I saw more than just a museum. There was also an impressive church and a chapel. The museum costs $5 or Q.40. I spent in those paid and free spaces a few hours and took lots of pictures. I found there lots of interesting or just beautiful things/artifacts. At that time, there were multiple loud shots to honor/celebrate St. Hermano Pedro.

The last time i was in antigua was over 40 years ago. The streets were empty hardly any cars or bikes. Not its to crouded and turned into camercialized nightmere. Used to be very pleasent to walk the streets and not worry to get run over. Lots if new places and still most of the old places still there.

Too expensive for what it is and compared to other ruins in Antigua (5x price than for locals). Ruined by a crippling amount of ‘no climbing’, ‘no walking’, and ‘no photos’ signs. Helpful hint: the tourists will take photos anyway, it just gets in the way.

Not one of the most popular sites to visit, but definitely one the nicest. If you go on the weekend, there's a small food and crafts market in the car park. The ruins are surrounded by nice gardens and it has a very interesting museum!

Probably the most stunning ruins in all of Antigua. I strongly recommend visiting this place if you find yourself in Antigua.

Great place to walk about and check out the ruins and the library. Not too many people around. On a clear day, you can see all three volcanoes. We paid in dollars though as the gatekeeper insisted on 10 dollars ($5 each adult) even though I had the 20 Quetzales ready.

Arguably the most beautiful of all the ruins in Antigua. I felt like I was the only person here as I walked throughout the property. Amazing views from the upper levels, was able to see Volcan Fuego burping smoke!! The museum and library were interesting and informative. Cute little booth spaces in the library, overlooking the grounds. A serene, relaxing place to spend a few hours. 10/10 recommended

Historic museum worth checking out. The ruins and gardens views make it worth checking out. The price is minimal and outer courtyard has booths you can haggle for local goods from.

Very pretty and relaxing garden. Fun place for kids to explore the ruins. There are even a few vendors outside to get a drink and a snack.

As many times as I have been to Antigua, I somehow missed this gem until this last trip. Beautiful grounds to photograph and a great experience to see ruins.
