I really loved going, but I had a feeling of sadness to see animals that are not where they belong in their habitat. But I got to see so many species like piranhas, eels, jellyfish, crabs, sharks, turtles, sea urchins, starfish, snakes, iguanas, and much more. What I loved to see the most were the eels, ajolotes and seahorses. The aquarium has one where you see the fish and another where you can touch them interactively. It also has a store where you can buy things to remember. Highly recommended.

I got there early on a Saturday, they open at 10am and I was in line at 9:45am. I was inside of the aquarium at 10:20. It was 230 pecos for me to enter. For an adult I went through in about 30mins, but with children I can see 1-2 hours. The bottom level is the most exciting.

Very helpful and friendly staff the place is a bit smelly, they need to put AC or any kind of ventilation as is very hot sometimes. With the same ticket, you have the opportunity to visit another museum across the street. Is very central and good option to spend the day with the family.

It was nice, but the whole facility is smaller than expected and not really sure the animals are in the best living conditions. They have friendly staff in every area, willing to explain and answer questions~

Nice enough to visit during the week

I thought it was going to be great but is not big enough for too many people visiting it, narrow aisles makes it more uncomfortable to walk around and enjoy watching the fishbowls, the general entrance tickets are not affordable for regular mexican population, if you are not medium class or higher or foreign visitor is not posible to get a ticket for it, Carlos Slim is one of the most richest people in the world, you don't need more money. I need to ad that the visit is in two different buildings in different locations wich is even more uncomfortable.

The kids really love coming here. It’s not a mind blowing massive aquarium, but for a city center space they do a good job with it. It can get super crowded if you come later in the day on a weekend, sometimes so much so that it’s just not worth coming. For whatever time you go, would recommend buying tickets in advance online as it makes things quicker

Great aquarium. The layout was pretty cohesive, and the tanks were very pretty. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit this aquarium, if they're looking for a beautiful, informative, and interactive experience for a relatively cheap price point (in comparison to certain other aquariums). If you go, definitely check out the other part of the aquarium which is located in the mall, about a minute away from the main building. It has quite a few other exhibits, and a couple interactive experiences.

An awesome aquarium, the price is $215 I think it's worth it. Not too big, but fun too watch.

(Translated by Google) The Inbursa Aquarium is one of the main aquariums in Mexico City. It is located in the Polanco area, as part of the Plaza Carso set of attractions. The Soumaya Museum and the Telcel Theater are located directly in front of the Aquarium. The Aquarium was inaugurated in 2014 by Ing. Carlos Slim Helú and the Head of Government of the Federal District, Miguel Ángel Mancera. Throughout its four underground floors, the Inbursa Aquarium comprises the exhibition of different scenarios of maritime life. Among these are: the bottom of the ocean or oceanarium, mangroves, corals and reefs as well as beach areas, etc. The Inbursa Aquarium displays more than 5,000 individuals belonging to 230 different species. These are distributed in almost 50 exhibits with an adapted habitat within more than 16 million liters of water from the Gulf of Mexico. The aquarium design includes vertical fish tanks as well as tunnels with windows submerged into the water, which offer full panoramic visibility. Throughout the tour, there are different musical settings and sounds to make the visit to the Inbursa Aquarium a more complete experience. The purpose of a visit to the Inbursa Aquarium can be classified as educational and entertaining. In addition to learning about the species, visitors have the opportunity to touch and feed some of the species. Among the animals that you will be able to observe in the Aquarium are: seahorses, turtles, crocodiles, manta rays, sharks, jellyfish, little fish and piranhas among many other species. The objective of the Inbursa Aquarium is to show the deterioration suffered by several of the maritime ecosystems of Mexico and to provide a channel of awareness to help conserve the maritime world. To achieve this, the Inbursa Aquarium has developed educational programs to inform, inspire and create protectors of maritime life. The Inbursa Aquarium has a solid program of conservation of different marine species in danger of extinction, in their management and reproduction in captivity; these species include corals, seahorses, jellyfish and penguins. A group of Eucharistic specialists make up the Inbursa Aquarium's Conservation Center (CECONSE), where they are in charge of analyzing the water in the exhibits for proper functioning, preparing the specific diets of each species and supervising quarantines in addition to their reproduction. Knowledge of the Inbursa Aquarium has been developed through various specialists in the area and also through strategic alliances with the Veracruz Aquarium, the Mazatlán Aquarium and the Boca del Río Technological Institute (ITMAR). Although the aquarium is designed for children, experience shows that the vast majority of adults who visit this place are fascinated to have visited it. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour 40 minutes (Original) El Acuario Inbursa es uno de los principales acuarios en la Ciudad de México. It's an amazing aquarium where they try to open up the public's views on climate change and the effects that people have on the environment and wildlife. They show you a large variety of aquatic life (there's also a few other kinds of animals here), their information in the wild and why it's important to try and save these species. Very nice place and it includes an interactive show where you get to meet some of the amazing species native to Mexico and other countries. Great place to help with what they are doing.

Really good aquarium. Took us about an hour to wander through the main aquarium (take your time, because you can't back track) and afterwards, with the same general admission ticket we could wander across the road to the shopping centre and go to their interactive display and Pirates exhibition. English translation is hit and miss, particularly in the interactive part. Really well put together facilities.

Excellent place, everything very nice, of course life is given by the species, a lot of variety and it looks incredible.

Very nice aquarium in so crowded city. Definitely worth to go. The parking in plaza Carso has discount only in weekends. There is no much place to rest so probably it's not very recomendable for older people.

Loved our experience here! Even if its a little expensive, its an amazing space with 3 floors bellow street level full of different species and decorations. They also have penguins, which I had never had the chance to see before! Its a 40-45mins tour and its a great experience! Wouldn’t have thought we’d find this gem in a city nowhere near the sea!

Good for kids but considering this is the only aquarium in the city it’s a bit lacking. It’s also designed to funnel you through as quickly as possible so if you stay in any one place for too long it creates a traffic jam.

A massive aquarium with lots of species. Be sure to arrive early, and be sure to visit the interactive exhibit afterwards in the mall next door to make the best out of the ticket price. The interactive exhibit is nearly as big, so I recommend having lunch first!

A place to go for people who have difficulty getting to see these marine animals in their natural habitat. If you are not a fan of animals in enclosures, don't go

(Translated by Google) It is by far the most complete aquarium in the #CDMX and visiting it is a luxury, I think the cost is fair due to the great variety of species you can meet. (Original) Es por mucho el acuario mas completo de la #CDMX y visitarlo es un lujo creo que el costo es justo por la gran variedad de especies que puedes conocer.

I loooove aquariums! It's my happy place ( if not in the ocean, of Course!) I enjoyed myself, I got to see a Axolotl! Finally. The photos do not do it justice. I was being present, so I didn't capture much.

Our kids (6 & 3) loved this outing. It is relatively small, which was not a bad thing for such small kids. The spaces were well kept and the animals looked taken care of. Would suggest going during the week in order to avoid larger crowds.

Save your money! The aquarium is for children under 8 years old. The staff was unfriendly mostly and the whole experience lasted about 30 minutes. Go to a museum instead. Much better and cheaper if not free!

Foreign Visitors! Save your money and your time! Not worth it. System was down, they kept us waiting for more than one hour outside, without telling anyone what the problem was. Finally after waiting for ever we got it and the place doesn’t have the proper lighting, no AC working, fish tanks are cloudy and dirty. The place was absolutely packed! Never again!

Very nice aquarium! We loved the huge tank that you see when you first enter. We also loved the jellyfish exhibits. And we loved the penguins. I didn't like how you have to walk two blocks to the interactive part of the aquarium. They should have everything all together. Otherwise it was great! My father actually lost his wallet in the gift shop bathroom. We came back for it 30 minutes later, and everything was still there! None of his cash was gone. The staff kept it safe. Thank you so much!!!

Great small aquarium. The interaction with the penguins is not cheap but totally worth it. There is no waiting time if you buy your tickets online, just be aware that if your credit card is not from Mexico, the transaction will not go through.

A very nice place to go as a family and if you have small children they will love it, it is advisable to buy tickets online and even more so if you go on a weekend, when we arrived we thought we had to line up and it was a huge line, but yes You buy the tickets before, there is a preferential line and we don't wait five minutes to get through. There are several purchase options, I bought the 280 one, which is the general one and allows you to enter the aquarium and the interactive one that is inside Plaza Carso, next to the cinemas and inspark. The first part of the interactive is a VR experience, you do have to pay separately but if you don't buy it you can continue to see more things, the interactive is cool but it already needs maintenance because some were no longer working well. In general I recommend it

  • 1/5 Ricardo B. 1 month ago on Google • 33 reviews New
Very few fish, the penguin habitat was being remodeled, the glass tunnel empty, not a single fish or shark was seen, a scam. And still standing in line, it's not worth it.

Beautiful place to go with children and be surprised by the marine world. I recommend arriving early on weekends because of the line.

  • 4/5 Ailailiu c. 1 month ago on Google • 10 reviews New
It is interesting, on weekends it is quite busy so it is recommended that you buy tickets online so that access is a little faster since there are only two ticket offices.

Pretty impressive aquarium. The line was long to get in the day we went, because of multiple school trips. but once inside, the museum had a good flow. Make sure to leave time to check out the incubator accross the street (neat little extra that comes with the price of admission)

  • 4/5 Carl H. 5 years ago on Google
A wonderful experience! Small but solid aquarium where you and family can spend some extended time viewing all the exhibits. A decent price to get in. It's very close to some other really cool places to see like Soumaya and the shopping center. Truthfully I do not know if there is another aquarium around (I'm sure there has to be) but this one is a solid choice.

  • 5/5 Cristopher Emmanuel López S. 3 years ago on Google

The cost is $230 Mexicans pesos, I don’t recommend this place for people who have claustrophobia. While later arrive the row become worse. Inside is very very beautiful the cost of the photos when you enter is $360 Mexicans pesos (if you want to pay), it's a good place to take children. Have fun!

Horrible experience. There's no point on "reserving" a time and buying tickets online. When we got there the line was all the way around the building on the left side. This was aupposed to be the line for people who bought tickets online. There was another line for purchasing tickets on site. They would only allow 100 people from the already "reserved time" and kept letting everyone else from the other line purchase their tickets and let in. We waited 45 mins to get in when our "reservation" time was 1130am. All for it to not even be worth it. The whole place takes about 25 mins to go through and thats was with the time we spent taking pictures. Not worth the $$ either.

Surrounded by super modern buildings, this aquarium has less characteristic looks from out side. Despite, inside is breathtaking art exhibition. Light shows are everywhere. Well designed walk ways from room to room are apparently unlike ordinary aquarium. Fishes from all over the world are the main attraction integrated to candy colored wonderland interior. The best aquarium I ever seen.

(Translated by Google) The first thing is that if you go, try to buy online, the lines are somewhat long on the weekend and if you are short on patience be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes, however I consider it an experience that is worth it, it is not very diverse in when to species but it is very educational and attractive to the eye, unfortunately it is small and the snack area is the same reduced in size but of course the main attraction is not the food, so if you are a lover of marine life without you will definitely like it.

Aquarium with a nice diversity of species, giving many rescued and donated animals a chance to live in larger spaces, under better conditions. Staff is informed and helpful

  • 4/5 Sunny J. 4 years ago on Google
You will find many unseen species of sea life, never seen before. Also, the best part was the interactive aquarium where you can touch and feel them. There were some painting exercises for kids as well. A day worth spent.

Nice aquarium. Was a little bit over priced but went to see the axolotls. Penguins were probably life of the party too lol

  • 3/5 Kai K. 2 years ago on Google
Not impressed. 250 pesos - adult and child. I was expecting way more from this place. More fish, more tortoise, more sealife. It was rather sad sight for me. Similar place in Finland, Helsinki is way better. Even the goodies shop in the end could offer a little more, not just different animal teddies - t-shirts with the tortoise or sharks from the Acuario would be awesome. At the moment not too many things and kind of a sad sight.

  • 2/5 NS B. 2 years ago on Google
It's $250 per person and you can do the whole thing in less than an hour - there's a funky smell and many fish are kept in tanks with very few rocks and plants, they seem bored and depressed. I would save your money for something else.

I toured the facility during the VIP Sessions, days before it opened. It was amazing how the aquariums are all below ground. I was very Impressed by the jellyfish displays. It’s conveniently located directly across the street from Carlos Slims Museo Sumaya. Unlike the aquarium, There is not entry fee into that Museum , so be sure you don’t miss out on that. It is truly amazing !!!

It's like be undersea with your warm clothes. The species the place has are beautiful and it's specially friendly and fun for the kids. The gift shop is lovely and the interactive aquarium is awesome and funny. You won't regret your visit.

  • 3/5 Carlos M. 1 year ago on Google
It is the second time I visit the aquarium. As always the bottom floor and most of the tanks and animals are breathtaking. However, in the last fish exhibit I saw a fish that was noticeably in pain. It was in a corner of the tank, not swimming and was upside down moving its mouth and gills in an effort to breathe. I am no fish expert but it was a hard thing to watch, specially when those animals are all locked up

  • 2/5 Mohamad Reza S. 1 year ago on Google
Absolute tourist trap!!! The selection was nice but some species was in obvious stress such as the penguins. The hallways were so small and staff kept yelling at people aggressively to move on which is not a pleasant experience. I barely write comments but this place is by far the worse aquarium I have visited. The two stars is for the magnificent sea turtles that live there.

  • 3/5 Tiff 1 year ago on Google
It’s an okay location. There is a nice view of different fish. I do wonder if the penguins for example are kept in a decent condition. Considering the window was dirty and also didn’t seem too cold. As well, the crocodile seemed like it was in too small of a place. Felt bad after going tbh.

  • 4/5 Stanley F. 1 year ago on Google
The aquarium is under ground! There are more exhibits than I anticipated. The animals seem to be happy and well maintained considering the situation. The line was long and took about 45 waiting outside but was worth it.

  • 4/5 Angel A. 1 year ago on Google
It was amazing, love it, one of the best aquariums that I ever seen, the only drawback was the informative screens, very confusing since its just one feed for all of them instead per container

Nice place to introduce the marine life to your children. The admission is MX 260 and I suggest to buy it online to avoid the queue. The ticket is for acuario inbursa and acuario interactivo that is located in Plaza Carzo, next to Soumaya Museum

  • 4/5 Mary G. 11 months ago on Google
They can improve the facilities , not a big aquarium, some variety of fishes but the stars are the penguins. The gift shop is the worst part also expensive for the quality of the products.

Excelent place, I just felt that there wasn't a good organization with many people we can't appreciate the views. And the cost of the pack of photographies it's high

  • 4/5 Laura G. 6 months ago on Google
It's beautiful , don't worry and organized The guides they are kind, i like because there are other species reptiles and penguins. I m recommend buy tickets before, i would like existed more areas interactive and more marine species. Its recommendable for go only or accompanied.

  • 4/5 Karol Alberto Romero M. 5 months ago on Google
You must buy tickets online or in advance to avoid waiting in line, otherwise you will be waiting for a long time, of course it depends on the day you attend. The aquarium is great, and there you will find many marine animals separated by various sections. It is a good experience, the animals are in captivity though. At the end you can buy souvenirs, and although they are nice, the price is a bit high.
