Small clean market. They sell artisanal items for souvenirs, home and clothing. I purchased earrings, necklaces, a ring, blouse, shirt, cups and shot glasses. Most of the vendors are very friendly but we did encounter a disgruntled worker.

If you go here make sure you bring your Mexican friend with you. They will jack up the prices if you are not Mexican. It's better to walk through first make a list or a mental note of what you want then have your Mexican friend go and buy the items you want. You will get the best deal this way.

This is a very pleasant place to spend a few hours. A lot of the little shops are just selling the standard trinkets. I even found one that was selling the sweater I was wearing that I bought in Quito, Ecuador. But I also found some very unique shops like the Talavera shop that's sells talavera from their fabrica. And if you stroll on down to the artist part, there are some really interesting paintings. Then, of course, there's the Mole Poblano to sample ... and buy to take home.

An interesting place to wander around and soak up the vibe but, to be completely honest, the quality of the goods on sale here are mixed at best and there's less variety than you would expect. Across the street you'll find brick and mortar shops selling far better examples of talavera. Still worth visiting, though, and don't miss the Artists Barrio the next block over.

Good place to shop for souvenirs. Look out for the señorita who sells green quesadillas and tacos along the streets. Her quesadillas are beyond awesome! Approach any street stores to try their cemitas as well!

Small clean market that has many beautiful Talavera pottery and home goods. Many beautiful items hand painted. They sell artisanal items of all kinds, especially items for the kitchen or home decor. My wife purchased all sorts of different things. All the vendors were very friendly and prices were negotiable if you bought several items from the same place.

Bunch of stalls. They explained stuff I didn't know about. Really cool for picking up souvenirs to bring home.

The market is catering to tourist but if you search you can get past trinkets to some real artisan offerings.

A short walking street with a bunch of shops selling identical colorful stuff to tourists. A few restaurants in the neighborhood. Worth a twenty minute walk.

The best market for you to shop for souvenirs, typical sweets, liqueurs, tequilas, mezcals, ornaments in tabaleria (ceramics) and magnets for refrigerators.

  • 5/5 Gilda C. 2 years ago on Google
Super nice place to get all the souvenirs and mexican pottery possible in Puebla at a very affordable price compared to other cities. We drove around in Veracruz and Puebla had the best prices on those items. Not to mention how delighted you'd be by going to just look around. It's a magical market. Loved it.

A nice walk through market between two streets. Most of the stuff that the sellers were selling I could easily get in Los Angeles. However, some of the ceramics they had were designed with geometric patterns that really stood out to me. Overall a very peaceful and quiet walk with the background noise of bargaining from the vendors.

Beautiful to visit, but most of the merchandise can be found anywhere in the city of Puebla and there’s nothing particularly unique or special. It’s a tourist trap that’s worth visiting, but don’t expect to find something at a good price.

  • 5/5 Samuel G. 1 year ago on Google
Vary traditional Mexican Market. A good example of Puebla arquitecture. Careful with the prices as you need to compare different stands and shops around.

It is a fairly small market, but believe me you will find a variety of very cute handicrafts. From t-shirts with chihuahuas, ajolotitos and Aztec deities with amazing and cute colors. To a variety of liquors and sweets very tasty. The people are very friendly and will always encourage you to buy good quality products.

It's a place where you can find different types of souvenirs such as bags of many sizes and colors, wallets and purses, candy and other artesnal treats and more. It's right next to "El callejón del artista." Definitely recommended.

Está bien, limpio y los precios me parecen adecuados, pero la verdad es que tienen casi exactamente las mismas cosas en cada local. Si no te gustó lo que viste en uno, casi seguro que no te gustará la mercancía de los demás.
