👍👍 Barista was extremely nice. Love the design of the place and there are great outdoor places by the plaza. It connects to an Italian restaurant too. The drinks were good and would go back to try it again. People often mention coffee, good, great, Buna, nice, service, outdoor, barista, seating, chocolate,

Excellent barista coffee! Perfectly frothed flat white made with macadamia milk. And a nice outdoor seating spot, complete with good free wifi.

Update: visited today and the quality of cappuccino was soo terrible, they were just dumping hot milk on top of espresso shots. Great coffee, and a place you can actually work. Not food options and no electricity outlet if you sit outside to charge your laptops. Charge it up before going and enjoy their high quality espresso drinks and mocha with dark chocolate. Expect to see a lot of american/expat patrons here

(Translated by Google) Buna 📍Orizaba 42 Roma Norte 06700, C. U. Benito Juárez, 06500 Ciudad de México, Mexico The Buna recommended by Monocle Magazine is a great area in Mexico City. There are not many people in the morning, and the barista is super nice. The Flat White I ordered is one of the few delicious coffees in Mexico City. It is worth studying at that cafe!

Very cute spot with excellent service. I was just there for drinks - their Nebbiolo is great. Can’t comment on food but will definitely be back to try it.

The coffee is 3/5 but the atmosphere and service made the experience better. The desert was ok and the seating area is very relaxing and quiet but I wouldn’t go back.

Coffee was good but the place was a bit hard to find. It’s in the same spot as Sartoria but to the left?? One star off because they didn’t have cinnamon and that’s what I use instead of sugar. The pastries looked good but didn’t try anything.

The barista was amazing, she was extremely friendly and had amazing English as well. She could see I was trying very hard to order and ask questions in Spanish but checked with me if I wanted to speak in Spanish or if English would be easier. She was very knowledgeable about the beans they had and their flavour profiles. Speaking of the beans, the coffee was brilliant - very sweet and acidic with fruity notes coming through, even their more chocolatey darker roast had a lot of sweetness and balances acidity.

The worst Cortado ever. I even gave the barista feedback that either the machine needed to be descaled or the grind setting adjusted and he didn't care a fudge. So if you want a good set of beans with a highly acidic flavor - go to this place. I would give this place a zero

Cute coffee place with nice outdoor seating (ample tables). Service was nice and the lattes were okay. Wifi wasn’t that great though. There's a much better Buna location in Juarez.

It is an expensive place for what it really is. There are better restaurants than this one in the area. The food is good, but EXPENSIVE. Maybe the place and location are worth more than the food.

An amazing roast in a well crafted flat white. The pain au chocolate could have been darker (and perhaps saltier). I will come here again for the coffee, but I'll grab my pastries at Panadería Rosetta around the corner—a great combination.

"Cafe rico but pain au chocolate espectacular!" I travel the world and I have a thing for croissants, hence wherever I go I eat them. Today I had to redefine my benchmark for "Pain au Chocolate". It was seriously one of the best ones I ever had and I cannot stress that enough.

After visiting maybe 10 different coffee bars, I can say that I like Buna the most. Just because the coffee is so delicious What I loved was the huge selection of locally sourced Mexican coffee beans from a few different regions around Mexico City. The staff proudly explained where the coffee came from. They offered to prepare some cappuccino's with different beans for each person of our group, so that we could taste the taste-difference ourselves. It was the first time this was offered in Mexico. That was a very pleasant experience. You can also have dinner or brunch in the adjacent Buna restaurant, where Buna coffee is served. Basically, the left side of the building is the coffee bar, the right side is the restaurant. At Buna you can also buy coffee by the bag. The bags feature modern designs based on the Nahuatl names given to the roasts.

  • 1/5 Byron M. 1 year ago on Google
Slow service, wrong order, bad attitude, lack of basic customer service. For a specialty coffee shop, this really doesn't even fit the description or reviews. Ordered a cappuccino, a v60 and a chilled tea. Got the cappuccino, after 10 minutes got a hot tea and the v60 never arrived. When asked about the missing v60 the barista served a cup of old, lukewarm mass produced coffee, much like you would get at an Applebee's near closing hour. The barista wasn't even in a rush, no one was in line or ordered while we waited for our order.

One of the best expresso I was tired before, Mexican coffee ground with a incredible staff. Stronger, smoothess and cryps taste. It's inside of the restaurant , to be aware if you only came from coffee make sure in the left side coffee shop it's separate from restaurant. It's better in weekdays, are so cozy and chill. Weekends are so extremely busy.

We get their coffee bags all the time. They’re usually awesome, but one annoying thing is that the bags don’t have any details about the coffee on them, so I accidentally spent $350 on decaf yesterday.

Favorite spot to get iced lattes in Roma CDMX! Out of all the places I’ve tried in the city, their espresso has the most depth and was the most distinct from espressos I’ve had in NYC. It also doesn’t hurt that they have a lovely, shaded outdoor seating area that has been available all three times I’ve been here. A lot of locals pop by with their dogs to grab morning coffees too. Just PSA, even though it’s nowhere as $$$ as an NYC latte, it’s definitely on the high end for CDMX (60 pesos). I think the normal range for lattes here starts from 45 pesos.

  • 4/5 Isaac S. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious coffee, more acidic than toasty, in a good way! I only wish I could sit inside the space somehow, for the café there’s only outdoor seating.

  • 2/5 Trish K. 1 year ago on Google
Sour mocha served in a paper cup, even though I was sitting at an outside table. (There was no one else on the patio on a Sunday morning, so it isn’t like they needed the table.) When I told the barista that the drink was sour, she claimed it was bitter from the dark chocolate. There’s a distinct difference between sour and bitter: 100% this was sour. The espresso had likely gone off – especially as other reviewers mention it normally being high-quality. Atmosphere was nice with outdoor seating in a lovely, leafy part of Roma Norte, but there’s no shortage of great coffeeshops in the area – for my peso, I’ll try elsewhere next time.

Excellent genuine, and friendly service. Top notch drinks. The macadamia milk latte is superb. Try it with the piloncillo sweetener. Handcrafted chocolate. The chocochata is perfect too. If you are a coffee connoisseur, do not miss the chance to enjoy a sip here.

  • 5/5 Katie O. 1 year ago on Google
Best coffee in CDMX. They use high quality milk (organic entera or fresh macadamia) which sets them apart from all of the other shops. Pastries are good too! Baristas are friendly, but they need more than 1 person working during busy times.

Although this cafe doesn't attract a crowd like some of the other cafes in the AM, the coffee here is one of the best. The macadamia milk lattee here is as creamy as a coffee can get.

The macadamia milk latte I had here IS the best thing since sliced bread. It's been a couple weeks since my trip to CDMX and I still dream of sipping on that delicious latte on Buna's patio while people watching. If you're looking for quality coffee and a relaxed atmosphere, look no further.
