Cicatriz’ avocado toast is delightful. It’s a light balance of flavors that bring out the perfect amount of umami: olive oil brushed on a well-toasted piece of sourdough, a lightly marinated herb salad (think mint, cilantro, and leeks) that dampens the herbal flavors, and a spread not too thick of avocado. It’s nothing mind-blowing ultimately, but sometimes a simple slice of avocado toast is exactly what you want for breakfast.

They make simple food delicious - very creative ingredients combinations and handled with craftsmen’s hands. I’ve tried both their breakfast menu and dinner menu in my short stay in Mexico, and you just can’t go wrong with their food options. Coffee varies a bit - one day was average while another day was great!

From being 4 days in Mexico City we went there 3 times for brunch since it was just simply the best!! Our fav was the big salad and chia pudding, insanely good!! Great also for gluten-free options 🙏🏼 Coffee was also good and a big plus: you always get a bottle of water. Staff was also so friendly and cute. Definitely a must go!🙌🏼

A great place to stop for lunch or even a small bite and amazing drinks for dinner. A very relaxing corner of Plaza Washington. Would recommend it to all those visiting Mexico City or to locals.

Pretty great choice I found through Eater.com. The ambiance and food presentation is great, service was impeccable (waiter let me try 2 wines before I chose), high quality of ingredients and quite a bit of ingenuity and creativity in what are in essence simple dishes. Only reason I give 5 stars is that a glass of wine shouldn’t cost more than the meal I’m eating, even in Mexico… in my opinion of course!

I went here after not being able to get in at Cafe Nin, and honestly liked Cicatriz so much more! The staff are young and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed. Perfect place to sit outside and read a book while you dine

I saw 2 reviews about racial profiling and I I’m thinking was I victim of racial profiling from one of the waiters, so I was waiting for waiter to attend me and the waiter pass me and help 2 white Mexican girl before me and I told him straight up and he told me oh “sorry I though you are friends with the bartender”, It relaxing me that I heard his apologize and I order some drink after I call him out he was nice to me. Btw I’m a dark skin American, but my Ethnicity is Mexican So idk if I was a victim of racial profiling, I’m thinking about it right now maybe I was? The drink I order was good. The price is alright

Good vibes inside and out. I tried the kale salad with their beet red soft boiled egg as well as their frittata sandwich. All of it is delicious.

Our favorite dish was their avocado toast. The egg/potato sandwich was a bit too dry for us although the bread was good. The salad was fresh but wish it had some hot/ warm element because it was a chilly morning. Coffee was okay nothing mind blowing.

We ordered the green salad, eggplant spread, and ricotta. All was so good. The salad was PERFECT! I can’t wait to eat here again.

The perfect place for a nightcap in CDMX. They have natural wine, which is a plus, and Jesús was a wonderful host.

Excellent— fresh, healthy, bursting with flavor and great chill vibes. Had an excellent late breakfast here — best avocado toast I’ve had. Loved the relaxed ambience in a little off the beaten path plaza.

Well made coffee and good breakfast dishes. I had a 3 oats with caramelised pineapple dish. Also really nice outdoor seating amongst mature trees and a nice neighbourhood (plenty of dogs to watch going past).

Ordered latte and chai, take away. Both were too watered. The roast of coffee is too dark, it's taste was quite butter. Bartender was not friendly at all. Tourist trap. 1 star for treed street, 1 more for nice decoration.

Amazing food, amazing drinks, great folks, awesome ceiling, and the best dogs come to visit. Fantastic place to spend an afternoon watching the world go by. Oh, the dishes are not huge, so indulge and get 2 per person. Leave room for pie... or don't and still have pie and leave feeling happy and stuffed.

Incredible food. BLT and Big Salad were top notch. Cute little outdoor seating with a fountain makes it 10/10.

A very nice, cozy and modern spot. Perfect for stopping for a drink and a bite after taking a stroll through the beautiful neighborhood.

I stayed in Juárez for a month and this is my favorite cafe/bar. I went daily for coffee which is excellent. I went for dinner and drinks here at least once a week, the eggplant dip and chicken sandwich were my favorites. Highly recommend visiting this gorgeous space!

Favorite cocktail and appetizer place in CDMX. Ricotta and broccoli are amazing, and the drinks are strong and well made.

Enjoyed a breakfast here! The bread that comes with the eggs is oddly incredible. We also enjoyed the brûlée grapefruit as a breakfast “appetizer”

Delicious food. Awesome service. Try the sandwiches and the green goddess' dip. Smile guaranteed!

Wonderful cafe in the Juarez neighborhood. The space opens out onto a small urban Park where there is seating and a fountain. The coffee is supplied by Quentin coffee roasters and is of too notch quality. The inside space is nicely designed with an industrial decor. Very pleasant space.

Great cocktail! I tried one called “Yoko” because I am Yoko. It’s a great vibe for Sunday brunch with healthy choices and a variety of drinks. Highly recommend!

Came here by accident, just walking around, absorbing the beauty that is CDMX when we heard wonderful music coming from the front of this café. We tried four different kinds of mezcal, two unique beers (artesanal from México) and had the surprisingly tasty appetizer shown in this picture. We thought we were ordering fresh oysters but we were extremely satisfied with this meal. Great crew working who took care of us. I highly recommend this place and will be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Hip cafe tucked in a perfect corner of town. I got the omelets sandwich and green michelada. The bread here is perfectly made!

The fried chicken sandwich is fantastic but ask for their hot sauce! It’s delicious and deserves to be in that sandwich. Great wines, friendly service and a phenomenal breakfast sandwich too.

Since I came to Mexico the first time a couple of years ago this has become one of my favorite breakfast spots. They open early, have simple but great food and a cute interior. I love that they have a half grapefruit like in the old days. As a sidenote, it's American owned. In case you care about such a thing.

Best coffee I had so far in Mexico. The salad and the ribs sandwich we're really good. A little bit pricey but worth it!
