we arrived half an hour before closing and paid full whack for our tickets (cash only!?). There are enough security guards and attendants in this small gallery to staff an international airport. They loitered and hovered around us the entire time we were there. I really hope my wife and I do not look like the kind of people who would want to vandalise an inflatable desert island

I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have lots of time and money to get rid of. We went after exploring another nearby museum because of the great reviews, and were shocked. The entry is NOT CHEAP--at least not by Mexican standards--as it cost about $6 usd/person. It's also really small, and one of the three floors was basically completely empty. There were probably 5 or more guards per every visitor, and we got scolded for taking "too many" photos (even though I saw fewer than 10 visitors throughout the entire building). As someone who's been to Mexico City multiple times and whose fiancé is from there, there are far better things to do in the area for that cost.

Modern space in one of the most traditional colonies in México City. Located near Ciudad Universitaria, this museum contains collection from now and old times.Cost of entrance: 35 pesos. No park zone, near Metrobus Altavista.

Cute, small museum in San Angel. They have various expositions at the same time. Staff is friendly. The venue has an elevator but also ramps which makes it accesible. No parking available but there are options around. Cheap entrance. They currently have a very interesting exposition of Rivera, Orozco, and Siqueiros. A must!

The museum is small with only 3 halls. It is quiet and the layout is neat. You will enjoy yourself in here. It offers a display of different artist's pieces every month.

Two of the four floors were closed for exhibition changes. Security told me off for starting to walk in the 'wrong' direction - I was the only visitor apart from a small group with a guide. Plan your visit well as it's not worth going out of your way for but interesting if you are in the area already.

No card, only cash. You will have to be a Mexican student to get free entry.

Wonderful collection: Rivera, Siqueiros, Orozco. Too bad the security guards outnumber the patrons by a count of 10:1 on a Sunday afternoon.

Little old fashioned and not so flashy- but had really interesting content for the exhibitions. Free entry at least on Sunday when I visited there.

Despite renovations, Orozco, Rivera, Siqueiros exposition is delightful at showing Mexico's best artists.
