I looked for entrance guard there rude .. told me to go to booking desk went then he made me put my tiny daypack in unlocked locker which was not happy about anyone could have tajen my bag no ticket as other museums have in any country then went in they d unnerved me .second door went in they said no we re closed! Then another guard suddenly told me to put mask on..so rude again then got another telling off by first guard as came back again so I said they told me to wear mask..why not just say firstly!!!! The whole world almost are not wearing masks now. I left sadly. This place was empty I think they re just after huge groups. I ve never had such an unwelcoming mean attitude so maybe they should close up... as many churches on my route have today. Square looks pretty but full of very.pricey restaurants .. wouldnt return.

¡Hermoso!

(Translated by Google) Excellent museum considered a historical monument (built in 1681) and was inaugurated as the Casa del Risco Museum in 1963; since its original owners (Isidro and Josefina Fabela) created a trust in the Bank of Mexico on October 8, 1958, for a House of Culture, which was inaugurated in 1963 by Lic. Adolfo Lo Pez Mateos (President) and as Secretary of the Treasury Antonio Ortiz Mena ,. This Museum is divided into several rooms, at the top, as follows: Room 1. Presents, Religious Baroque Art of the 18th century. Room 2. Presents, European Religious Art. Room 3. Presents, Civil Baroque Art Room 4. Presents, European Portrait of Kings and Nobles. Room 5. Dining room of the Fabela couple Room 6 Study of Isidro Fabela On the ground floor there is another room, intended for temporary exhibitions, currently there is the exhibition of Raw Materials by Ofelia Murrieta and in the garden there is an exhibition of orchids Spring of AMO (wonderful). Next to this exhibition is the statue of Isidro Fabela (1882/1964) If you visit this wonderful museum, it is also recommended to visit the Parish of San Jacinto and its atrium, as well as the garden of the same name. one block away is the museum and the church of Carmen, please allocate a full day, as there is much to admire. It is easily reached, by the Revolution avenue (circulating from north to south) and connecting with Madero street that reaches the Museum, since in front is the San Jacinto garden and the Church with the same name. You can also get there from Avenida Insurgentes sur, taking Avenida de la Paz and crossing Avenida Revolucion, connecting with Calle de Amargura, (which is at the back of the museum) parking is complicated, especially from Friday to Sunday, for which is recommended to arrive in Uber. Walking can be reached from the metro station bus la bombilla in both directions of the insurgentes sur avenue, or on revolution some peseros circulate that go to Ciudad Universitaria, the stop is on Calle de la Paz. No doubt the source of the house of the cliff is the icon that distinguishes it can not be lost the explanation of its elements and the meaning of them by museum staff. Admission is free, because it has a trust that supports it. It is worth visiting, a must-see in Mexico City. It has an air of community cultural center even though it has a great valuable collection of antique furniture and other art works. I saw an interesting special exhibition by Elena Poniatowska Amor, and in the courtyard, there was a free concert. It's weekend so in the back garden there is even a fair of indigenous arts and crafts going on. Great festive atmosphere.

Have you heard of "El Tigre de Santa Julia"? He was a famous thief and lover (Robin Hood was only a pickpocket) that was also a soldier in the Mexican Army during Porfiriato's years. He was caught.... how to say this without being prosaic... attending the call of nature. After his trial he was declare guilty. The sentence was death by execution. His skull is in the museum

(Translated by Google) It is a very spacious and beautiful place, the collection is very good, and the fountain itself is a visual attraction to visit, the rooms have maximum capacity signs but if it is very crowded people do not respect it and there are no staff in each room to review compliance. Anyway, all the people who work in the museum helped us a lot, I just wish they were more careful with that because the rooms cannot be ventilated and I think sanitary measures should be taken care of. I would also like them to be more bike-friendly, but I understand that the cobbled area surely does not receive many visitors with this means of transport.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place, with a lot of history, perfect to go for a walk with your partner or family as it is quiet and very enjoyable. Very Clean and the staff is very friendly. I only have one observation: the parcel area is somewhat neglected since you must take your personal belongings by yourself and that can be a good opportunity for lovers of the foreign when taking items from other people.
