UPDATE 18/04/19: I'm not sure if they changed ownership, but was just here and the food was awful, flavorless. The service was just as bad. What happened to this place? There are better vegan / vegetarian spots around the city. I would recommend skipping this place now. It's not what it used to be, sadly. I come here quite a lot, whether it's to eat or buy vegan products at the adjacent Vegan Ville shop. The food is very good and they have a nice menu with an array of international dishes from Pad Thai, pizzas, and hamburgers, to more traditional Mexican dishes, as well. The service can be a little slow and lacking, even when there's nobody else in the restaurant. Most of the times I've been here, I've been one of the only diners in the restaurant and it still takes a while and there's little follow-up by the waiter. But, if you're not in a hurry, definitely stop by and get your grub on.

"ELK Vegan Bistro & Deli" is a dream store for vegans like me.It is a All-Rounded Vegan Store. The first time went there was on the White Valentine Day, just for cakes, we ordered the white chocolate cake, I thought it would be very sweet, but in fact, the sweetness is just moderate, pretty good; the second time was on Sunday, for the buffet (only served on certain Sundays), different theme each time, this time happens to be Mexican food. Since I was already in Mexico, of course I have to try different local foods, so I tried a lot of things even I couldn't figure out what it is 🤣 But overall, the food is good, I like most of them; I came here for the third time to buy breads. I still remember we bought a lot. It looks like I'm afraid I won't be able to come back in the future. And it is true that I bought those breads for my flight coming back home. 「ELK Vegan Bistro & Deli」是我夢想中的vegan store，純素美食、蛋糕、百貨，樣樣俱全。第一次來是白色情人節，就是為了來吃蛋糕，點了白朱古力蛋糕，以為會很甜，卻沒有，甜度是我喜歡的；第二次來是星期天，為了吃自助餐 (只有特定星期天才供應)，每次不同主題，這次剛好是墨西哥菜。既然都在國外了，當然要試試不一樣的當地美食，所以我盡情地吃了很多我也搞不清是什麼的東西 🤣 但整體來說，食物是不錯吃的，大部分我都很喜歡；第三次來是為了買麵包，還記得買了超大袋，生怕以後不能再來，確實那些麵包是我帶上飛機吃的。 *vegan visit: 2020-03

Oh. My. God. I’m blown away. I live in Guadalajara and we do have many vegan options there too, but coming from Berlin I’m quite spoiled so nothing really convinced me yet. Like nothing was suuper amazing. But here it’s just fabulous. Everything we tried was SO good! I’m not even exaggerating. Thanks ❤️

A vegan restaurant with plenty of options for different kinds of people. Even for vegan standards, the food isn't really that good and honestly the place is a bit expensive for what they offer.

Im giving it 2 stars for the sake of the cafe/ bakery and store. However the restaurant looks way better than it is. I literally did not like anything they served us. My beer was warm and I had to drink it with ice. Fries were cold and when i asked for new ones they refried them. There was only one vegetable in my pad Thai, carrots and it was easily the worst carrot I've ever had.

Amazing vegan! I’m from Los Angeles and this is comparable to a high end vegan cafe for half the price!:)))

Great friendly service. Excellent brunch buffet that was affordable. The waiter, knowing we only spoke english took the time to give us a tour of the buffet before aeating us. Excellent clean bathroom, the dining room was in a courtyard with a tree for ambience. The storefront sold vegan goods and groceries with a great selection of baked goods

Really delicious food and one of the widest variety of vegan options on the menu that I've seen in a vegan restaurant. It's a really cool, beautiful space inside the restaurant also.

super friendly and great vegan food. I was going to just leave my bike out front where I could watch it and try to grab something quick to eat, but without me even asking, the staff offered to let me bring my bike inside. I was able to stash it in the restaurant in the back and sit down to eat, and the mole enchilada was delicious.
