Wow! You can get lost here! Everything you can think of is sold here except I did not see livestock for sale. Every vegetable and fruit know and some that were new to me. The variety of products is unbelievable! Every spice, ingredient... a chief's dream! The food stands here are amazing... everything fresh from the market!

Amazing market, but dirty, smelly, poorly organised. It’s an experience walking round such an enormous market but don’t expect to want to sit down anywhere or grab a bite to eat. As a tourist you will be walking many kilometres and there is nowhere nice to sit. Amazing to see the amount of stuff here though. The toilets we went to were ok too

The jungle 🐎🐆🐱🐕🐀🐁🐖. Largest wholesale market for food in the world. Culturally great, catastrophically sad for management and abandonment of facilities.

This place covers 246 hectares or 608 acres. This place feeds metropolitan Mexico City with close to 20 million inhabitants. There are producers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers from across the country, handling fruits, vegetables, meat, flowers, and more.

This is a huge market for retail and wholesale. Store owners buy goods for their stores. People bring backpacks, fill them out and take home by car or public transportation.

It can't be that they charge so much money for tickets and parking and the road is so bad, fix it by hell

The freshest products you will find in vegetables and fruits. You will find best value prices. Obviously it is not the cutest place and you will have to be with your eyes wide open at all time.

Great prices if you don't mind going to this zone. Maybe not for every foreigner.

It is the most amazing market I've ever experienced. It is said to be the biggest market in the world. You have to go with someone who is familiar with the place, otherwise you get lost easily. There's plenty of parking. Getting there is also easy. There are places where the minimum purchase is a container, others where the minimum purchase is per kilo. The whole country gets its produce from here. There are restrooms, but I haven't made use of them. I suggest going cautious since it is super crowded. BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICES. THEY ARE FORMIDABLE. It is totally worth buying groceries here.

It's complicated, on one hand you can buy any fresh fruit or vegetable, super cheap. On the other hand it's all dirty and smells terrible. If you have a business you must buy here to make a profit.

Lots of items that are affordable, from personal items to over the counter medications. You can get raw foods like pasta, rice and save lots of money on food shopping. If you go prepare to spend few hours cause there are many stores and all have discounted prices
