Cozy and charming Italian restaurant. Delicious food and attentive service. Osso buco and lasagna were stupende.

We visited La Lanterna at the recommendation of our priest, who said it was the best Italian he's had outside of Rome. It didn't disappoint. The pasta was perfect and the service top notch. If you're travelling, this is a MUST STOP for your vacation.

Easily the best Italian food in Mexico City.

The cannelloni was gross and very unpleasant, tasting like they had poured a can of cow cream on top. Worst Italian restaurant in Mexico City. Zero classic or authentic. Overpriced for what you get. The fondue was ok. The bread was dry and looked and tasted cheap like it was bought in a supermarket. The egg plant parmigiana was mushy and overcooked. Service is polite and fast.

Very nice Italian restaurant in Reforma, the berenjenas were exquisite! Service was friendly and attentive, and the environment was nice!

La Lanterna offers impeccable service and tasteful music. I would have liked a bit more flavor in my marinara sauce, but I enjoyed the high quality meat in the ravioli.

Went twice and was very pleased with the quality of the pasta which tasted like it was freshly made. Reasonable prices and a very nice cosy atmosphere. On my second visit I asked for a vegetable substitute for one of their dishes and they gave me some mushrooms that were obviously canned, the only negative part of the experience.

One of the most authentic italian places i have tried in mexico , it compared to the italian in NYC . Taste as if someone grandma was in the back cooking . The eggplant parm was delicious the owner and his son was close by as well and was super friendly . One of the best places i ate in mexico . Definitely a place to check out and highly recommended.

La Lanterna is the classic family-run Italian restaurant. Great service from experienced servers and wonderful food. We try to stop in at least once or twice each time we visit CDMX.

REALLY -really bad place. I ordered 225 Pesos pasta carbonara and got cheap spaghetti with super small quantity of meat. It looks super -super cheap and tastes like people never saw real carbonara. In the end they charged me 25 pesos for butter and bread that I did not ordered.

Had a solo Valentine’s Day dinner here and was made to feel right and home and so well taken care of by the chef, manager and wait staff. The tagliatelle bolognese was just how I like it very rustic and homey just like you get at a farm stay in Italy . Chocolate cake was also delicious. Thank you for making my evening so special

We were fortunate to find a this place offering great take-out near our hotel during a COVID shutdown. It’s been in the family for 52 years and they take great pride in what they serve. As exceptional restaurant, reasonable price for quality. Let’s support them so they don’t loose a great place when COVID finally ends!
