Far Western tavern is a great place for company events. Their outdoor patio is enclosed with heaters and gives you a private area. Inside they have dining available, but it could be loud if you are trying to have a private dinner.

Nothing was skimped on the decor. The decor and ambiance are fantastic. From the longhorns hanging in the waiting area to the cowhide seat backs. The ambience rolls right into the dinning area. Beautiful decor and romantic atmosphere. The hostess was very sweet and friendly. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. I had the 6oz Filet mignon I asked for medium well. It was a little too well and dry. I realize it's a bbq place but it was really black and crispy on most of the edges. The salad dressing was runny. And the bread was not toasty and soggy. The Beans were fantastic. The closest I have found to the true Santa Maria style. Over all it was an okay evening, but for the price of the meal it could have been better.

We went for Father’s day dinner , It was very busy but the staff was very friendly and Attentive, Our Waiter’s Name was Emmanuel he was awesome, even though he was super busy he came to check on us at least 5 times to see if we were doing ok. I’ve been to different restaurants where if they’re busy you hardly ever see your server once they bring your food, we really appreciated how attentive he was. Our steaks were all cooked as requested and super yummy, As far as pricing I’d say it was comparable to other steakhouses in the area. The 2 pictures I posted was my dinner a 8 oz sirloin (butterflied) with a twice baked potato, Pinquito beans and garlic bread. My Dessert was a yummy slice of cheesecake.

Overbooked, understaffed, overcooked. They seated a party of 40!!! In the dining area. We had to wait 2.5 hrs for our food. When we got it the "signature" ribeye steak was completely overdone and rigid and the sides were lukewarm. We usually just eat in the bar and have great service and food. This was our 4th or 5th time in the dining room and every experience ends badly. Lesson learned

Ribs were great -- not drowned in sauce -- really good dry rub. Tri tip was tasty, but overcooked and tough. Service was impeccable! Very enjoyable time out!

Never been there before, definitely an "event restaurant". Excellent quality, great service. They even hunted around to find me a good White Claw flavor. Beautiful building.

Have been to a few events in the upstairs meeting room, and can't say enough about the quality of the service and the food. Excellent on both counts, and the place has a great atmosphere.

My family shared a meal here. My dad had the prime rib, my mom had the tri tip and the hubs had the steak sandwich. Everyone thought their food was great. They have one vegetarian entree that I would highly recommend, the portobello mushrooms with polenta and mixed vegetables. Delicious! Entrees come with several sides in 3 course. Probably the best service I’ve encountered in a long time.

My husband and I love to eat here on our anniversary. The staff is professional, kind and always willing to accommodate.

My husband and his sisters came into town and we thought it would be a great place to celebrate their July birthdays. We waited an hour for our dinners, the service was awful, but our waitress was good. I ordered the grilled oak lobster for $46. It was so bad that I never got to enjoy the lobster because it was over grilled, over seasoned and salted. I was really disappointed, and will never go back.

We recently visited Far Western Tavern steakhouse and had a fantastic time! The filet mignon my wife ordered was cooked perfectly, and my 14 oz New York steak was mouthwatering. The food was outstanding, and the drinks were delightfully strong. Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

My husband and I go on date nights with another couple and we go to a different steakhouse each night, and let me just say that this is the best so far! Everything was phenomenal! Best clam chowder EVER. The potato in the chowder was so delicious! The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The lobster and shrimp were amazing. The drinks were really good. The service was on point as well. We did not wait long for our drinks or food. We had a reservation and were seated right away. I will keep coming back for sure.

The Far Western Tavern used to be located in the City of Guadalupe in northern Santa Barbara County. We in Orcutt feel lucky to be the new home to FWT. It is an excellent dining experience! It is an upper end steakhouse, so put on your best "duds" (a tie is not required) and get ready to spend a little bit of money. They are not cheap, but you know the saying- you get what you pay for. As an added bonus, the full service bar is a fun place to meet friends or make new ones!

This is a great place to have great dinner. I always order the burger which is amazing or the Salmon....both are so good. My husband likes the ribs. I just wish they were open more days of the week and would reopen for lunch. One of my favorite restaurants I have been going to for years and years.

If you are traveling on the Central Coast, you would be well served by a visit to Far Western. It's a fantastic restaurant only locals visit. Would strongly recommend the Mac N Cheese Relleno, a steak and a glass of RiverBench Pinot.

Formerly a destination restaurant in Guadalupe CA, relocated to Orcutt CA a few years ago, but the Old West vibe didn't make the trip. A nice, Western themed place, good food, reasonable prices, full bar and a Friday night set of "regulars". Just not the way I remembered...

Wow. Seriously best steak dinner I've had in a loooooong time. Super friendly service at the bar on a Sunday night. I love all the sides that come with the steaks, in particular the shrimp cocktail

Went out for a lil father daughter date. We shared some delicious tiger prawns. Then I had the salmon and she had her first lobster, which she said had have berries, lol. We both really enjoyed the full experience, from the service to the food.

Atmosphere was a little too stuffy for me, seems to appeal to more of the senior citizen crowd. Great restaurant, food was top notch as well as the service. Its worth a visit, no disappointments

Went here with my family. I had the prime rib. It was tender and delicious along with a nicley strong horsradish sauce on the side. Cobb salad was on point. Look into the 'House Wine'. Service was fantastic and the place looked great. We all had a lovely time.

The ambiance is very elegant and inviting. We ordered the portobello mushrooms accompanied by clam chowder soup (delicious) pinto beans and baked potato and the Tavern Burger with freshly made fries. Oh my goodness!!! The flavors were fantastic. Totally recommended the food at this restaurant. Great customer service. Overall we had a fantastic dinner experience!
