A true feast, Páramo does what it does very well. The food is vibrant in taste and flavours, and the scenery is indeed photographic (even if rightfully so many reviews here mention the words “foreigners” and “hipster”). Ask for a table in the back room as it’s quieter and the doors open out onto great views of the street. If you’re vegan try the mushroom taco. The guacamole is also stellar, and the fried fish taco is great. Sure, a corner neighbourhood taco joint can be just as tasty and far cheaper, but Páramo is worth the splurge.

Food was good service not so much! We got wrong food twice and at the end ended up eating more than what we ordered! They also gave us cutlery and napkins mid serving. Try the tuna taco, pork taco, chicken taco

After waiting 45 minutes for a table, the tacos were cold and half were delicious. All the pork tacos were delicious but cold. I'm not sure why this restaurant is packed and has such amazing reviews because eating cold tacos is inexcusable in a vibrant city like CDMX where fresh, warm tacos are everywhere.

Cool place with a good vibe. Lots of tourist… well, lots of people in general. It feels packed and quite cramped regardless of where you’re seated. The drink selection was great and we enjoyed our drinks. Food was meh… nothing to write home about. The options and descriptions sound really tasty but in the end the food was just bland. All of it could have used salt. The tacos, the ceviche… just needed some salt. Some of my tacos also arrived cold. There’s much better tacos for much cheaper prices all over the city. I get why it’s hard to turn down a place with 7000+ reviews, but it’s mediocre.

We discover this place walking through the quarter Roma in Mexico and we were surprised at the top of the stairs. The atmosphere is very warm and the decoration help to fit with. Dishes are tasteful and at affordable prices. All the experience was a great time and I definitely recommend to eat at Paramo. The improvement point could be the chairs. They are not the most confortable.

It has a different vibe for day and night. For day it is more friendly and for night it is a perfect place for dates. Well priced food. My favorite is the tuna sashimi and azul (tuna) taco. Beautiful environment and people. Always a great experience.

Authentic Mexican taco spot. Great for a casual outing - great drinks and good food. The best tacos were the boar and the pig chamorro - must try. There are many vegetarian options. The desserts are lacking, did not like at all so just stick to the savory food. The place was very full and lively - loved the vibe. Portions are hearty, order to share. Prices are medium to low.

Great spot to grab some ceviche and cocktails on a hot day. We had the shrimp ceviche and two mezcal based cocktails which hit the spot. This place is great to go to during open since it’s easy to get a spot. I can see that this place does get busy because a crowd was building. Overall, I highly recommend a stop here!

The interior is just fantastic and my tacos were great. According to my local friends it's considered fancy but when we were there it didn't feel that way. They have a sister restaurant downstairs which is more casual

Great ambiance! Awesome and quick service, drinks were amazing! Try a cocktail with cardamom and mezcal, one of the best I’ve tried! However not all tacos were exceptional! For the price they charge all tacos should be top noch! I didn’t really enjoy veal and chicken tacos. They were plain almost without any taste. White fish and pork tacos were delicious. I think it’s also overpriced, which is expectable for this area (but still, would love to see less “gringo prices”)

This place is extremely energetic and love the atmosphere. Be sure to walk upstairs to get to the right place. You’d get a good choice of drinks and tacos with good food and reasonable prices. The sever was very patient and friendly. He even brought both tequila and mezcal to show me the difference.

Above El Parnita. Just go ! Delicious drinks and food. Great ambience. We went at 8p on Thursday, and got sat at bar to eat instead of waiting 1.5 hours for a table.

A hidden away, hip and vibrant place to enjoy tacos and good cocktails! A long list of slightly more sophisticated tacos than your average taqueria. Can be ordered as individual pieces or as dishes to be shared. 3 seating areas provide for fresher, warmer and more initiate options.

4 hungry people feasted and drank and had desserts for US$70!!! Lovely ambience, very friendly vibe. A few of the service staff spoke English. Service a tad slow but mainly due to the place being packed the entire time. The Ceviche are awesome! 4 and not 5 stars only because the service seemed slower for us than the tables around us :-P

We were lucky. Only waited about 30 minutes before we were seated. Fantastic ambiance. Very hipster. The service was a little chaotic. Tuna ceviche and pork tacos are thumbs up. You can skip fish and shrimp tacos. They were just so so. I have also noticed that margarita serving size is supper small here in Mexico City compared to the restaurants in US. Over all we enjoyed our experience.

Food 2 stars. Service. 1 star. Volume 10 stars. Daytime. Empty. Loud. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Food, not interesting. Sour cheese. Flavorless tacos. Then to get the check. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. 4 tables. Maybe it’s better at night. But don’t go for the food.

No me gusta. The food did not deliver, especially at this price point in CDMX. The fideo camala was a mushy flavorless mess with prepackaged pork rinds. The tacos: wild boar (huasca), beef with chile sauce (confite xochimilco), shrimp with cream (emalura), and jamaica flowers (jamaicon). Only the boar was acceptable. The jamaica was a sickenly sweet liquid mess, the others were overloaded. Cocktails were good. A fellow diner told me the la muneca tacos were their best dish, but four misses means I'm not going back to find out. Good vibe, place was packed, most people were there drinking more than eating on a Friday night, maybe because they knew...

Ordered the shrimp civeche; this was delicious and came in a substantial portion. Also ordered a few other tacos (unable to name them, sorry) but the photos show the portion sizes. 2 tacos was enough for each person. I highly recommend making reservations if you can. Perfect for an intimate dinner with a small group.

I really really really wanted to love this place based on previous reviews, however there is truly no excuse for the poor quality of food. My friends and I waited more than 2 hours for a table, but I wont complain about that because it was busy. The tacos we ordered were not appetizing at all, and one of them had completely raw chicken (see photo). Me and my friend are sick with food poisoning. That being said, the service was decent and I really liked the ceviche.

It s a favorite of locals. At least that's both our tour guides told us. And we actually ran into our e-bike tour guide at the restaurant so that was a good sign. No reservations. So be prepared to wait for anywhere between 30-60 mins. They have a tiny bar where you can get some drinks while you wait. They have 3 different eating areas. On sundays they open at 7:00pm and open till 2:00am. It's in the Roma Norte section of the town. After ordering our food, we had to wait a while to get our tacos and unfortunately they arrived cold. I deducted a star for that. I got their pork shoulder based on the recommendation from the server and it was good. Also has the fried white fish tacos that was great if it was warm. I also got the chorizo tacos. Definitely stay away, the chorizo was dry and I almost chocked on it. It has spicy potatoes in it that gave it great flavor. I also got the shrimp ceviche and guacamole that was great. For me it ended up being 3.5 stars but if your food arrives warm, then it can be a 4 star place. Good mix of tourists and locals.

One week in Ciudad de México and this is definitely my favorite restaurant so far. The entrance is a bit hidden, a small red door, but upstairs it is amazing. The food is superb, great service as well.

One of the best Taco experiences we had in Mexico City. Great cocktails and very gentle waiters. We loved it.

Loved it. A little hidden spot upstairs from the main road. Loved my 3 chalupas (nothing like the Taco Bell kind). Seems to be a well known restaurant as we had to wait even though we arrived at 10pm on a Tuesday night. I did enjoy my banderita while waiting.

  • 4/5 Roy C. 2 years ago on Google
Good vibes, good cocktails. The wait can be a bit long but there is a bar off to the side where you can essentially eat and drink from the same menu. Tacos are pretty good but nothing too special. Tuna ceviche is solid.

The restaurant is located on the second floor. Looks like it's someone's house. Ambience is nice, a little dim light, the sofa is very low so doesn't match the table but it works out in the end. We ordered three different kinds of seafood tacos. Since we ordered the bigger size the the inside came separately from the tortillas. The blue tortillas were so tasty. The inside was westernized with chipotle mayo sauce and fries, and the seasonings in general. The poke appetizer was great!

This was the worst meal we had while in Mexico City, both in terms of service and food quality. Forty-five minutes after ordering several tacos, we asked our server when our food might arrive. After waiting another 45 minutes, we asked a manager. Some food arrived as we neared the 2 hour mark. Two of the tacos were what we ordered. One taco was wrong (something other than what we ordered.) One taco never arrived. Two out of the three were lukewarm and underwhelming. The space is lovely and the drinks were good but overall, it was a poor experience. I rarely write reviews, but this was so disappointing, I felt compelled to do so.

Great place for food or just for a drink. We tried several different tacos and the tuna ceviche and everything was outstanding! Cocktails are also good and the atmosphere and vibes of the place are very nice. Highly recommend! (The restaurant is located in an upper floor and the entrance is through a small red door)

We waited about 45 minutes to get a table on a Sunday night, but the atmosphere and food were worth it! I specifically enjoyed the ceviche and the poblano pepper taco. Our tequila and mezcal margaritas were tasty, but a little weak in our opinion. Didn't diminish from how much we enjoyed the bustling and beautiful restaurant!

  • 4/5 Beeceeingtheworld Y. 1 year ago on Google
We enjoyed the bar while we waited 20-30 mins for our table. The cocktails were yummy and affordable. We liked the shrimp ceviche. They gave us extra chips for our guacamole too. The tacos were decent. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options. The vibe was great with interesting animal sculptures, greenery and string lights.

  • 4/5 Nicholas S. 1 year ago on Google
Cocktails were great, food was on the whole very tasty and creative, but sometimes a little inconsistent - we ordered a couple of the same tacos in multiple rounds and they varied in quality. Service was pretty slow and our bill was wrong the first time around. It gets busy here which means there's a buzzing atmosphere which suits the beautiful venue they have. (Final note, to get to this place you have to head up the stairs from the street where there's a small Pàramo sign)

So far best Mexican restaurant we’ve tried at a great price. We had a real feast. I’m vegetarian and was delighted by the selection and taste. I had fabulous tacos, guacamole, salads and veggie ceviches. Loved the blue corn tortillas in the big dishes. The salsa trio was awesome. And the bandera presentation of anejo tequila was superb. Can’t wait to come back! Oh and the atmosphere is great too.

Paramo is an extremely hip restaurant. Everything about this place is trendy. The people, the decor, the music, and even the menu. getting a table is the only problem, which is why I reduced one star. As a table of four, we were told the wait would be an hour, and it ended up being two and a half. Thankfully we were able to wait at the bar and have drinks and an appetizer there. If they take reservations, that would be highly suggested. The food portions here are very generous. The tacos are three times the size of regular Mexican street tacos. And the ceviche is enough to share for two people! Service is slow, but the vibe is great!

This place is beautiful and has an incredible vibe with great music and art and a hip crowd. Tacos are delicious they have good vegetarian options--vegan carnitas & hibiscus tacos were incredible. Vegetarian cerviche didn't work. Service seems frazzled. They are open late and def worth a visit.

The place is very vintage looking, it is a speakeasy format. The place opens at 7pm ans it gets packed right away so you better get there early. Almost everyone who was there that day were foreigners and from what I've heard it's always like that. The lights are dimmed, I think a bit too dark for me but I guess it is part of the setting. The wait for your food could be a bit long because the place is crowded from opening to closing. Their ceviches are great, especially the tuna with mango. The drinks are amazing too.

Stoked with this choice of restaurant for my first time in Mex City.
