I took the tour in Puebla. Take their recommendation about not eating before the tour. I felt STUFFED! lol I loved that every food place we visited was full of locals. I was able to try things I've never had before even though I've lived in Mexico previously. Learned a lot about the poblano culture, history, and origins of some of its unique foods. The guide Aleyn was lively, and I enjoyed that it didn't feel rushed. In fact, by the time the tour ended, I noticed it had exceeded 3 hrs. She was very patient to let me stop and take photos of interesting sights, and she offered to hold smaller foods items so I could take photos. She even had brought a knife with her so she could separate sandwich-like items to get a better view of its contents for my photos. I appreciated that extra level of thoughtfulness. I learned a lot and ate some truly fantastic food. Highly recommend this tour!

We had the BEST Tacos 101 tour with Nico on our recent trip to Mexico City. It was our first time visiting and this experience was the highlight of our trip. Nico was so friendly and knowledgeable, going beyond just the tacos themselves to share the history and cultural context with us. Everything was so delicious and we can’t wait to do another tour next time we visit. 10/10 would recommend.

We did the evening taco + mezcal tasting tour with Ariane & would so highly recommend to anyone looking for CDMX food tours. The food was phenomenal & Ariane provided amazing explanations for everything, as well as detailed history when applicable!

We had such an amazing time and experience touring around the La Merced market. Being a half Mexican and half Kuwaiti person, the food stops were so good with an authentic taste of Mexico. Our tour guide was extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodated our needs and to top it all he spoke very good and clear English.. Nico Thank you for this amazing experience we really enjoyed it.

Eat Mexico did a fantastic tour for us! We could have never navigated the market by ourselves. We enjoyed our time with our guide, Clara. She was enthusiastic about the market and had a lovely demeanor. Would happily do the tour again!

Fabulous tour with Clara of San Juan Market. Our second tour with Eat Mexico and again we loved it: the food, the stories, the walks around the neighborhood. Highly recommended. And so come hungry

The tour of Mercado la Merced was amazing! Our guide, Gladys, was wonderful. We strolled through the labyrinth of the market like it was our backyard. It would have been impossible to experience it without her. Oh yeah, the food was delicious and our guides knowledge about it was fascinating. 10/10

Nico took us on a quest to find the best tacos in the world and we found them! Navarte at night was a great tour and last year we did the street food for beginners tour with Adrian which we still talk about to anyone who will listen a year later. Highly recommend these two tours. You will eat the freshest most authentic food and learn more about this amazing city and it is worth the price.

Did a tour with our toddler and had a blast. Clara took us to so many amazing places and we were encouraged to eat as much as we wanted (you will leave stuffed)! Clara took the time to modify things to our/our toddlers tastes and helped to keep her entertained so we could enjoy ourselves. Would recommend this company and Clara particularly to anyone traveling to CDMX!! it's also a great way to familiarize yourself to street food in the city for the rest of your travels.

Adrian led us on an amazing eating adventure through Mercado Merced and taught us a lot about the history of the market and Mexican cuisine. We never could have figured this out on our own. In 3+ hours we saw many areas of the huge market and tasted many different foods and drinks. He made sure there were vegetarian alternatives (but still cooked on same surface as meat). Included were: Deep fried tamales and blue atole Carne enchilada tacos with french fries and nopales Suadero (brisket) tacos Tlacoyos Aguas frescas Mole tasting from San Pedro Atocpan Insectos (not for the squeamish) Quesadilla with squash blossom

What a fun afternoon! Toti was an amazing guide and shared not only the the food but her wonderful knowledge of Mexico City and culture. We loved every delicious minute!

Absolute must if visiting Mexico City. Not a cheesy tourist tour, very interesting, excellent food and lovely guides. Social impact as well. Can’t recommend enough! Also- guides have great recommendations for restaurants that are great in the city and those that are over hyped.

Our guide Hector showed us a true Navarte dining experience from the eyes of a local. I absolutely LOVED all the tacos we ate and the history of the people that owned them. A car shop by day, a taqueria by night? That's AWESOME! Not to mention how informative the mezcal tasting at the end was. These people will take you safely through the street cuisine of Mexico City; I highly recommend Eat Mexico and our guide Hector!

Our group of about 15 people did a street taco tour with Adrian, Nico, and Clara. We visited 5 taquerias each with a unique taco style that the guides wanted us to experience. Everyone in the group had their favorites by the end of the night, and I am not sure I could have eaten another taco no matter how good it was. The best part for me was how the guides took their time to explain why they chose each taqueria and patiently answered questions as we wolfed down the tacos they brought it. I'd do this tour again. One note. The walking taco tour is not wheelchair accessible. We made it work, but knowing that in advance would have allowed us to plan better.

We took the street food tour with Adrian and were very pleased. Adrian is a chef himself and took us to small sidewalk stands for tortillas, juices, burritos, tacos, sandwiches, salsas and more. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Mexican food, and every place we stopped at offered excellent food. Highly recommended.

Our guide Tonalli took us on a wonderful walking tour of 4 very different taquerías and a cantina this introduced us to the wide variety of street food available in Mexico City. At the last taqueria we met the owner for a small-batch mezcal tasting. Tonalli met us at the first taqueria and explained to us exactly what we would be doing on the tour, she also explained the difference between all the tacos we would be tasting and all about the various different salsas we would be offered. Tonallis knowledge was comprehensive and we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation as we walked from each of the pre arranged taqueria. Definitely an excellent tour not to be missed when in Mexico City.

We had the pleasure of taking the Navarte at Night tour with Sofia as our tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and really great to talk with. There wasn't any awkward downtime and it genuinely felt like we were out on the town with an old friend. I highly recommend this tour service if you are planning a trip to CDMX.

Julieta is wonderful! My wife and I both took this course, and we really enjoyed it. I highly recommend!

We just finished the culinary tour of Santa Maria La Ribera with our guide Fernando. I can’t recommend this tour enough - amazing food, beautiful architecture, fun conversation, and a really cool glimpse into a classic Mexico City neighborhood. Thanks to Fernando and Eat Mexico tours for showing us such great hospitality.

The street food tour was an outstanding experience. We had tacos, small burritos, cemitas, pambazos, carnitas, and more and left very full and very happy. Also acts as a great neighborhood (Roma, La Condesa, Juarez) walking tour during your first full day in Mexico City.

Nico was our tour guide through Merced Market. Good enthusiasm and great knowledge generally of the market and food culture in CDMX. There were four of us on the the tour and we all agreed it was one of the highlights of our visit.

We loved our Navarte at Night tour with Hector! We were able to discover fantastic taco stands that we may not have thought twice about otherwise and the mezcal tasting was much more informative than expected. Hector was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend an evening with. Would definitely suggest this to anyone that wants to step outside of the box and isn't afraid of handmade tacos from an auto shop.

Nico was our tour guide. Both the tour and Nico were fantastic. The tamale and atole were my favorite; however, the food is only half of the tour. You will learn a great deal of the history of the foods you eat, the people that make it, and often times the science involved in preparing it. Nico was very professional and made it a lot of fun. Highly recommend but come hungry.

We did the Narvarte at night and the market + cooking class. Both were amazing: Narvarte at night guiding us to the best tacos in a super cool area. This was very helpful since we found CDMX a bit overwhelming and didn’t really know where to start. The market + cooking class was great! Exploring the market and its produce was very helpful and shopping the food for the cooking class was super fun. The actual cooking class was great too: the fresh ingredients, fun (but easy) recipes and a good teacher had us eating the best quesadilla ever. The only downside is that I find Eat México a bit pricy.

I can't recommend the La Merced Market Tour with Eat Mexico Culinary Tours enough! In addition to trying delicious foods, you will learn about current cultural traditions, Mexican history, and daily life in Mexico City. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and the stories they share of their own lives provide even more context and examples of life in Mexico City. And of course, the food that you eat is delicious and is something you likely will not be able to find on your own!

Adrian was an excellent guide. I chose this tour specifically because it was in Navarte, which is an area that we wouldn't have explored on our own probably. We had already done a food tour on our first trip to CDMX and this was our 4th time visiting, so we knew some things and wanted to find a more unique tour. We had Adrian all to ourselves. I hope tourism picks back up so they can make more money, but currently it's like you're getting a private tour if you are here. The mezcal tasting was terrific and informative and it was just so nice to speak to folks who live in the city and love it. We'd totally do an Eat Mexico tour again, hopefully with Adrian.

👍👍 Where do we start…we are foodies!! This tour did NOT disappoint! First, our tour guide was Victor. We felt so incredibly lucky for he is a “chef” by trade. He KNOWS food!!! He was SO personable and shared so much about the food and culture. This tour was SO MUCH more then we expected! The food…i...
