3/5 Melanie s. 1 year ago on Google
I
would
give
it
a
solid
3.5
stars,
mostly
based
on
the
location
and
the
friendliness
of
the
staff;
I
think
this
new
U-co
location
has
good
potential
but
unfortunately,
I
wasn't
fully
satisfied
with
my
month
stay
and
would
probably
consider
staying
elsewhere
next
time
I
come
back
to
Mexico
City.
The
reviews
on
google
and
some
of
the
pictures
seem
to
be
from
the
old
location
2
years
ago
-
which
I
found
a
little
misleading
as
they
don't
really
represent
the
reality
of
the
new
location.
Location:
the
location
of
the
home
is
great.
Very
walkable
to
restaurants,
great
coffee
shops,
bars,
parks,
yoga
studios,
two
hospitals,
etc.
You're
right
in
the
heart
of
Roma
Norte.
Rooms:
I
had
a
private
room
and
mine
was
quite
large,
with
high
ceilings,
which
I
liked.
My
only
issue
is
that
the
walls
are
VERY
thin
so
I
could
easily
hear
my
neighbors,
and
basically
all
the
street
traffic.
My
room
was
on
the
street
side
of
the
house,
so
every
time
a
bus
or
truck
went
by,
it
shook
the
whole
room,
which
made
it
hard
to
sleep +
all
the
street's
noise
pollution
in
general
(even
with
ear
plugs).
The
price,
as
well,
is
pretty
steep
for
the
offering
-
if
I
had
had
more
time
to
look,
I
could
have
easily
found
a
2bed
apartment
in
the
area
(for
the
price
of
my
single
room
in
the
Uco
house).
Wifi:
the
wifi
was
not
always
reliable,
which
is
frustrating
since
I
was
working.
I
had
calls/videocalls
drops
every
day,
which
was
a
bit
frustrating.
Coworking
spaces:
In
my
opinion,
not
ideal
for
people
working
full
time
(especially
if
you
have
a
lot
of
calls/zooms)
because
both
spaces
are
very
echo-ey.
The
acoustics
were
not
conducive
to
working.
Sometimes
several
people
would
be
having
a
call
at
the
same
time
and
the
noise/echoes
made
it
hard
to
focus
and
work.
There
are
no
private
rooms
for
meetings
which
sort
of
surprised
me
for
a
space
advertising
itself
as
a
cowork.
Community:
there
was
simply
no
sense
of
community.
The
house
often
felt
'dead'
to
me.
I
chose
a
coliving/coworking
space
for
this
express
purpose
of
meeting
people
and
building
community,
but
it
didn't
feel
natural
to
meet
people
in
the
home,
and
sadly
the
staff
only
organized
1-2
events
for
the
home
the
whole
month
I
stayed.
It
would
have
been
nice
to
have
a
weekly
dinner
and
other
low-key
events
to
help
build
a
community
-
a
lot
of
little
things
could
have
made
a
HUGE
difference,
with
minimal
effort.
This
is
probably
my
biggest
point
of
contention
with
the
home.
No
one
really
used
the
whatsapp
group
either
(some
people
I
met
didn't
even
know
about
it).
It
would
be
much
better
if
there
were
a
combined
whatsapp
group
with
the
other
U-Co
house
in
Juarez
-
this
would
also
help
build
a
more
vibrant
community.
Staff:
Generally
very
friendly
and
helpful,
I
just
wish
they
did
more
to
build
a
sense
of
community.
I
appreciated
that
there
was
nearly
always
someone
'on
call'
at
the
home
even
on
weekends.
Amenities:
I
booked
this
location
in
part
because
I
was
staying
long-term
and
the
website
said
it
had
a
washer/dryer,
etc.
This
was
not
the
case.
There
are
a
couple
things
listed
on
the
website
that
are
not
in
the
home
so
do
your
due
diligence.
I
did
appreciate
the
daily
house
cleaning
and
the
backyard
patio
is
nice.
A
microwave
and
oven
would
be
nice
and
useful
additions
to
the
kitchen.
