I’m
very
unhappy
and
disappointed
with
both
my
recent
interaction
at
Momentum
and
my
previous
bike
tune
up
that
was
done
in
July
of
2020.
Should
you
be
interested
in
more
details
I
just
completed
a
review
of
Momentum
on
Yelp
but
felt
it
was
important
to
post
on
Google
as
well
as
it’s
probably
the
most
searched.
While
riding
my
bike
last
Wednesday
1/13/2021
I
got
a
flat
tire.
I
took
my
bike
into
Momentum
the
following
day
and
explained
that
I
needed
the
tire
repaired
and
to
please
look
at
the
gears
and
shifter
as
my
bike
wasn’t
shifting
gears
very
smoothly.
Honestly
I
take
some
responsibility
for
my
gear
problem
as
in
July
of
2020,
Momentum
did
a
complete
tune
up
for
approximately
$150
and
did
a
terrible
job.
The
catch
is
I
didn’t
realize
how
poor
of
a
job
they
had
done
until
I
rode
my
wife’s
Townie
bike
which
is
a
smaller
less
expensive
model
of
my
Townie
bike.
I
now
realize
that
her
bike
shifts
smoothly
and
was
very
easy
to
shift
gears
unlike
my
bike
even
after
the
July
2020
tuneup.
In
other
words
Momentum’s
bike
mechanic
was
so
inept
that
he
couldn’t
figure
out
how
to
repair
a
quality
Townie
bicycle.
I’m
not
complaining
and
writing
this
negative
review
regarding
my
ignorance
relating
to
the
poor
tuneup,
as
I
certainly
need
to
take
some
responsibility
for
not
knowing
any
better.
My
complaint
is
that
I
purposely
patronized
Momentum
because
it
is
a
local
merchant
and
I
made
that
clear
to
the
owner
Evan.
I
bought
$75
worth
of
accessories
which
I
chose
to
buy
locally
instead
of
lining
Amazon’s
pockets
and
paid
double
the
price.
But
then
when
I
spent
another
$150
for
the
tune
up
which
I
now
know
was
a
mistake,
I
feel
unappreciated
as
a
local
customer.
The
fact
is
on
Thursday,
Evan’s
bike
mechanic
and
employee,
took
in
my
bike
and
did
nothing
for
2
days
until
I
phoned
today,
3
days
later
to
inquire
about
my
bike
repairs.
He
said
that
he’d
get
to
it
and
it
would
be
done
in
a
couple
of
hours.
I
was
furious
as
I
was
informed
that
he’d
call
upon
completion
and
then
the
shop
totally
dropped
the
ball
and
waited
for
me
to
call.
When
I
complained
he
said
he
was
very
busy
so
I
told
him
to
just
fix
the
flat
and
I’d
come
get
my
bike.
My
bill
was
$23
and
I
didn’t
mention
the
charge
which
I
think
they
should
have
done
for
just
the
parts
as
the
money
isn’t
the
important
part
of
this
negative
review.
I
did
ask
where
Evan,
the
owner,
was
as
Ryan
was
working
alone.
Ryan’s
response
was
that
Evan
was
surfing.
Surfing???
So
busy
that
he
left
his
employee
alone
to
go
surfing???
Wow,😭😭😭
Shameful!!!
Any
business
that
treats
customers
with
such
disdain
and
lack
of
respect
should
not
be
patronized!!!
Stay
away
from
this
shop.
Shame
on
me
for
trusting
this
local
business
and
shame
on
Evan
for
surfing
at
the
same
time
his
employee
is
explaining
to
me
that
the
job
wasn’t
done
because
the
shop
was
so
busy.
They
aren’t
even
open
that
many
hours
a
day
but
obviously
don’t
care
about
their
customers.
Again
stay
away
from
Momentum
in
Port
Hueneme!!!
