At Spirit of SLO, we made a reservation for a Sunday visit. The wait was minimal, and they have a convenient walk-up bar. It’s cool to watch the airplanes while enjoying their well-kept venue and great coffee. Although the breakfast didn’t leave a lasting impression, we plan to return and update our review. Overall, a promising experience!

We love bringing our kids to Spirit so they can watch planes/helicopters take off and land. Good grub and friendly people. Will definitely revisit.

I was surprised by how large the portions were. It was hard to finish my tri-tip sandwich and fries. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was really neat to sit so close to the runway and be able to watch the planes take off. The service was prompt and the prices were reasonable. I’d absolutely eat here again!

Poor attitude, do not believe the pricing from web site, prices on the website are at least 5 dollars different from the actual price. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering over the phone and when I asked for the price the person said that had to input it to the computer and never gave me a price, maybe the point of sale system is hard to use I don't know. Unfortunately I did not go pick up the order, I know it was my mistake por guey. I feel that they should honor the prices that they are advertising online. And please don't ask for extra ketchup, you will get attitude instead.

I love coming here. It's one of my favorite places in SLO. Watching the airplanes is super fun. The manager and staff and incredibly friendly. They always treat my grandma very nicely. The food is always consistent and I think they have the best homemade potatoe chips and sweet potatoes fries in SLO!

The restaurant has a really nice outdoor seating area overlooking the private plane area of the airport. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. Will definately eat there again if I am ever in this area.

We did choose the side partial inclosed area. The problem was the opening where we were pummeled by wind and all the plane exhaust comes in. But the food is good with a nice variety. And if you want to sit and watch planes land and take off this is a perfect place.

Loved the greeting as you walk in, loved the food and loved the view. Our waiter seemed a little irritated otherwise 5 star.

It's a great place to enjoy comfort food and watch airplanes land and take off. It is not a very large restaurant. It's much more of an intimate setting for a nice quiet dining experience

We chose to sit in the patio and watch planes. The staff was exceptional. Food was great. I had fish and chips with grilled fish. Coleslaw is better than most. Truly competitive with coastal restaurants. And gluten free bread offered.

Walked into the restaurant at 4pm… again, 4pm to get a drink and wanted a table because we were with our 78 year old mother. Was told tables were for dinner reservations and we could only sit at the bar… entire dinning area was empty. Said we would only be a half hour and wanted a table for a single drink, told we could only sit at the bar again. Unbelievable we could not sit in an empty dinning area for one drink. Have been a customer of this place many times… was the last, wow. As I sit in the parking lot and a half hour has gone by, drum roll please…. Still not busy, tables not full. Another case of the declining customer service experience happening across the industry.

We tried this place while waiting for a delayed flight and it was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a worthy airport option and would be spectacular if you were into watching planes. Whatever it was I had was rich and delicious!

An excellent airport restaurant at a really great airport. You can park your plane right outside the restaurant and watch the airliners takeoff and land. The food is always excellent and the service is phenomenal.

Food is always delicious, servers are always friendly and the airplanes flying in and out only add to the great experience! Highly recommend! If you enjoy BBQ, you gotta try theirs, Saturday afternoon only!

Great food and unique experience watching the planes land and take off. Lots of food options for breakfast through dinner. Walk to the terminal before or after your flight. Designated parking means you always find a spot. Recommend reservations, especially if you have a large group.

A very welcoming place with attentive staff. Food was great with moderate pricing and a good selection from the menu. Nice views of the runway to watch outgoing/incoming air traffic. Highly recommend.

An excellent brunch place, the food was very filling and the service was great. Watching the planes take off and land with a mimosa in hand never gets old. would definitely visit again!

Had extra time to kill before a flight so stopped here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality and taste of the food. I had the California Benedict and my mom had the Brisket Breakfast Tacos. Fabulous! Even the coffee was delicious. Great atmosphere and service! Will definitely come here again!

We loved our experience here. You could she the planes land and take off while you eat outside. Definitely recommend and it’s kid friendly. We got the small pulled pork nachos for an appetizer. I got the spirt burger with house made potatoes chips. My girlfriend got the fish and shrimp, four our daughter eggs and sausage patties. Definitely recommend coming here. Love they have food option for kids under 4

Took my elderly inlaws and it was great simple food. Easy access for walker, etc. It was a bit noisy.

What an amazing location! $12 bottomless mimosas for the win. Brisket breakfast tacos were delicious

Food is always great as is the service. However, the acoustics of the building enhances all sound which is always very loud. Still I'm a repeat customer as I enjoy the food and friendly service. Just don't expect a quiet meal.

Amazing burgers! A little place at the airport. As we were walking from our parking spot we could smell the food, so good. Got a seat by the window so we were able to watch a few planes come and go. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend stopping if you're in the area.

This place has wonderful food especially for being right outside an airport. I noticed that many of the customers were actually locals not going anywhere in the airport.

This place is literally right on the air strip and it was really cool watching the planes take off and land. I highly recommend the breakfast quesadilla!

Food and menu are awesome. The setting is wicked unique. Watching aircraft take-off and land while enjoying the impressive menu goes beyond cool. Indoor and outdoor seating to suit your needs. And none of the above can compare to the service. Impressive! I watched the matre de bring a dish of water to a customer's dog on the outdoor seating. Kudos! Come enjoy and be impressed.

It was great as always! Had a breakfast sandwich on this trip. Really tasty. The breakfast burger also looked nice. I'll be back. Outside seating only at the moment.

Best Hollandaise in SLO, and best priced bottomless mimosas. This place is a bit outside of town (by the airport) but it is worth the trip. On previous trips we have also had the artichokes which were A++++. But seriously… try the Eggs Benedict, and get an extra side of Hollandaise.
