Only reason for 4 star is because I feel the garden designer could have done a little more research into "Japanese" style garden. Painting beams red or adding curves to benches don't make them more Japanese. Please at least get the Torii gate right. Thanks.

Tripping out on this hidden gem in culver city. Parked near the Mark-Ridley Thomas Bridge and decided to hike up the mountain only to find this Japanese garden. What a peaceful spot full of zen vibes. There is a hike trail going up and you can find the cute little waterfall and LA views. Coming back again to continue trail up.

Really rundown these days and a bit gross. Pond needs to be dredged and rebuilt, bridge should be accessible and overall the area cleaned up plus more trees planted for shade. It could be nice. It’s just not that great right now. Not worth the time to go out of your way for. There are better areas in the park.

I love this place. Great place to watch the ducks, squirrels, hummingbirds, turtles, water lilies, bunny rabbits & hiking trails…so much more. Definitely a beauty. Watch nature at work. Entrance is free Mon - Fri. Get out and enjoy nature.

It's great in the end of summer because everything is blooming and you get to see turtles, ducks and fish. It's a hidden gem in Kenneth Hahn park for a nice picnic with friends and family or just for stretching your legs after a long walk.

This is a corny western rendition of a Japanese garden but still evokes peace and calm. There are turtles, ducks and koi to watch. The lotus are my favorite part! The pond has been looking overgrown since I first visited half a year ago, and I think its been affecting the habitat of the pond creatures but what do I know 🤷🏽‍♂️

Small but a nice spot to find a little piece of Japanese serenity. The pond is full of lily pads and the occasional lotus flowers in the summer. The pond is also home to a swarm of turtles. Outside the pond you'll find a "prairie" like grass area with rabbits, ground squirrels, and sparrows just hanging out. Unfortunately the bridge is closed

Wow. Ok so the garden itself is just ok. It is small but well maintained. Nice place to bring small children. But the hike that connects it and the big gopher field? FANTASTIC.

Beautiful little garden but there isn't really a lot there. It's just a pond, a wooden bridge painted red and some minor Japanese decorations. To be frank, I wouldn't call this a Japanese Garden if you have been a better, larger one in other cities.

Nice, but beware of nails scattered in the parking lot, there are so many from my car on the right half the lot from the entrance that I picked up.

Great small place to view the ducks, koi fish and turtles, and take the trails from there, nice relaxing afternoons

They have California Ground Squirrels here that are super social! They will come up to you if you pretend to throw food at them 🙂
