Great location, but the hotel itself is meh. The 'breakfast' was just a box of Danish, and a pile of napkins. Not even coffee. And this, in a land of baked goodies and coffee! The room was serviced once in 3 days! This was just a motel, masquerading as a boutique hotel.

We stayed here for three nights and could have easily made it five. Great staff, lovely swimming pool and hot spa pool. Close to everything, wi fi a bit patchy but most people have data these days. Free parking and very safe area. Thanks to the lovely receptionist for being so friendly on our arrival at nine o clock at night. 5 stars from me and would definitely come back.

I was shocked how shabby our room was. It was clean but the room needs a lot of work. The outside was lovely. The back parking area looked like a dirty alley. Look at the rooms before you accept the keys.

Rooms looked like they used to be nice. They need a good painting and updated heating and air. I booked a room in advance and when I got to the location they gave me a different room. When I complained they just said "sorry"

The room is clean. Their continental breakfast was great. The facilities in the room are great. They provide you hair dryer, iron, iron table, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Itโ€™s a bit old but the location is perfect.

We stopped in late at night with no reservations on my way across two states and loved it so much that I ended up staying over a week when I had only planned to stay one or two nights somewhere in Solvang. Rio is incredible to deal with, such a sweetheart and extremely accommodating. All the girls who work at the front desk also were extremely nice to deal with and helpful. My room was booked for the weekend so I started looking at other places because we thought their hotel was all booked but they miraculously switched me to a room that was so much nicer, huge and with incredible views of the mountains and city. I love the location too. It is right next to the Sheriff station and Veterans memorial with a little park in case you have a superior four-legged one with you. And their Danish they offer in the morning were better than the ones we had bought in the bakeries around there! Yes it is not modern but there is a reason for that. My friend was incredibly impressed with the original items they had in the rooms that were in excellent condition and nearly impossible to find anywhere else. Carpets could be a little cleaner but everything here more than makes up for that. Loved this stay.

Nice place. We stayed here after a change of plans on a long road trip. Room was a good size. Clean & quiet. They offer danishes from a local bakery in the morning.

The place looks very old and can use some touch-up work in the rooms. They look very dated. I was also charged $100 on top of the reservation. Although it is the least expensive hotel in town.

Nothing about this place tells you they are concerned about Covid-19 except where it can save them some money. No cleaning service, holes in the walls for vermin to enter/exit your room as they please and 20 year old couches that have never been cleaned. We just avoided the general area of some parts of this room.

Stayed 7 years ago and this place was delightful. Clean, nice rooms, building exterior well maintained, nice breakfast with cereal, fruit, toast, etc. Stayed 2 days ago and will never return. Room was dirty, carpet was filthy, holes in the wall from taking down various elements in bathroom, filthy dirty walls from lack of care or paint. Ceiling leaked at some point so plaster repair all across the ceiling with no effort to paint. Broken tiles in the bathroom, drapes were dirty. Recliner was broken, exterior of building has peeling paint on the fascia, breakfast is now a danish. No coffee, juice, nothing. No refrigerator in room. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were like rocks. Their lack of care is disrespectful to the customer. I would post pictures, but don't see a way to do so.

Every thing was clean but a little run down--hotel is almost 60 years old. Biggest disappointment was NO BREAKFAST (were told the web sit is wrong). Only had danish from local restaurant, coffee available in room only, No tea. Nothing for kids to drink. Located at the eastern end of town, across from the mission. Easy to walk to good restaurants and shops. GIve it a 3.5

It was a small quiet hotel and super friendly staff. The rooms were a bit older but it was clean and everything was functioning. The jacuzzi was a great relief after a day of driving and walking around the town.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night for the 4th of July! It's a nice little spot right off the main strip, lovely pool and hot tub. Staff is pleasant, rooms are clean, no complaints! :)

If I could give more stars I absolutely would! My husband and I came to Solvang on a spontaneous day trip. We decided to stay at this cute little lodge, some people say itโ€™s too outdated and old, my husband and I say homey, and comfortable! We got the king bed and just loved everything about the room, the private little pool access, the reclining chairs, the bathroom and most of all the bed in the room had to be the most comfortable bed ever! We travel for work so we are familiar with the uncomfortability of hotel beds and this bed was amazing! Had a fantastic time! Honestly, please keep your hotel the way it is! Itโ€™s perfect! Canโ€™t wait to visit again and we will definitely be staying here!! Thanks for all the hospitality, and thank you again to Rio (I believe his name was) was awesome! Super friendly, informative and just made the process of check in super easy! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Great experience while staying there. Left an apple ipad in the room. Called several times to find if it was found. Never got a response. Last call receptionist said, "I don't think it was found because there was nothing in the lost and found". Will not return because of this.

We were on a long family road trip, it was a 11:00pm Friday night, and there was NO availability in the area. We found this hotel that had a vacancy. The room was so beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We could only stay the one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. The Danishes they gave us for breakfast were also delicious!

The place was clean, quien and in an excellent location. You can walk anywhere in the downtown town area from there. It needs a lot of renovation even though it was clean the shower look like had a bit of mold at least that's what I think it was, all around the bottom of the shower in the inside and outside. The pool was super cold and it also needs to be renovation, the po pool furniture is in not to good of condition.

Great service! Great Location! Woulda been perfect. But the showerโ€ฆ. OMG! So small. Iโ€™m not saying I do NOT need to loose some weight. I fully understand that. Next time I will inquire further into shower size. That is allโ€ฆ

Rooms are nice. Love the atmosphere atmosphere of the lodge. Great location. Rooms need a little TLC, but they are nice and clean. Basic Cable. They do need some small fridges in the rooms.

They definitely donโ€™t put money back into their rooms, they shower had many large cracks that will cut your foot. Phone didnโ€™t work. The night girl whom checked us in was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable to were is best to eat in town. Iโ€™d give her 5 stars all day, but the room not so much
