Booked the standard king room for my wife’s birthday. I let them know we were also newlyweds and asked if they could maybe leave a bottle of wine and some roses in the room as a surprise and I would pay extra when we got there. Well they went out of their way!! Extremely thoughtful and kind gesture to upgrade the room, ask what type of wine and roses and there was a cute little Love sign as shown in the picture. When we left we were stopped by the maid “Mira” I believe, who couldn’t wait to hear from us how we liked it. They ordered the flowers specifically for us, rearranged it and she had painted the Love sign herself! Unbelievable. They ended up not charging us anything extra either. So much value for our money and the jacuzzi suite was unbelievable. They filled our hearts and would 100% stay again. We feel so bad for not having any cash to leave as tip, but we will be back soon for sure and make up for it. Much thanks for Susan the manager and Mira the maid. Heartwarming memories!

A delightful Inn! Rooms open onto a central courtyard putting the swimming pool and spa just steps ftom your room. High ceilings help to give the room a truly spacious feeling. Looking forward to our next visit.

Very functional rooms in an Inn that needs a few updates. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The location is excellent. You can walk to main areas of Solvang

Location was perfect and close by to everything! Staff was incredibly friendly and even accommodated our early check-in for an event in the area. Will be back again :)

My boyfriend got us room for my birthday and it's absolutely perfect and beautiful! It's perfect spot next to downtown Solvang that has so shopping stores and restaurants and super close to the casino. The staffs we're awesome. We definitely are coming back here really soon. I definitely recommend this place..

We stayed 3 nights .. The 1st 2 nights we stayed in the king suite but the hot tub jets were broken so we down graded to the standard king room on the 3rd night. We had absolutely no problems in the standard king room and wished we had stayed in that room our whole stay. Not only was the hot tub working but it was nicer than the suite. Nicer and larger fridge, a desk for writing, a comfortable chair with ottoman, and a sliding door out to the pool area. Unfortunately the overpriced king suite included a the most uncomfortable futon i have ever sat on ( a sleeper sofa was pictured and listed in listing), had no pool view but instead we had only a window with a parking lot view. The staff was friendly and was able to give us local recommendations, more soap, and towels. No food service was provided due to covid.

The location is great because everything is within walking distance. However, the rooms were disgusting. My family's feet were black from about 30 min of walking around the room barefoot while unpacking. Room service never came by even after we asked them too because of the floors. The pillows were so thin they may as well of not had any. This is no way is worth the price that was paid.

The staff was SO NICE and was able to find us alternative accomodations but sadly... After flying here, driving in...and being PREPAID for our room..Our booking was never fulfilled due to Kronberg Inn being OVERBOOKED due to a system issue. There were MANY other hotels I could have booked in the town of Solvang when I booked my accommodations in advance, but due to this overbooking we ended up having to stay in the nearby town of Buellton which was Ok, as we stayed before but... The whole point of this trip was to stay IN the town of Solvang! So that was very disappointing especially since we flew in from Hawaii for this trip. The inn looked REALLY nice but I will NEVER book it again due to this issue 👎🙁

For a nonsmoking property there were many smokers around the pool and hot tub. Also many dogs that were supposedly therapy dogs? Not sure if I would stay here again. First year was great this year not so great. Needs outside painting,roof repair and general maintenance. Also additional personnel would help but I understand the problem!

Front desk staff and manager were not friendly,helpful or welcoming. After a long day on the road the last thing I wanted to hear was they were running behind in cleaning rooms because they were busy the day before. They coud not even look at me. Manager preceeded to leave . Other lady handed me keys stated your room is around to the end on the corner. Needless to say will not return. Rooms were clean but need some TLC.

We accidentally booked too many nights through Expedia. The hotel was so kind and helpful helping us through our mess, and they actually refunded us the nights we ended up not needing. They rooms are lovely and the view into the lit courtyard was gorgeous. We loved thei jetted tubs and soaked in them almost every night! The pillows were good too(and I'm picky about my pillows). The pool was big, clean, and just the right temperature. Didn't use the hot tub. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Great location right on the strip,front desk notified us at the hot tub when they're under maintenance we were bummed about that. Then we went up to my room to check it out, nice room unfortunately the sliding glass door was locked and couldn't open it and enjoy the balcony ,

It was easy check in check out and the stay was great. No issues. I had a very important item that was being delivered for our anniversary weekend and as soon as I got the message that the item was delivered the front desk called me and let me know. Great staff at the front desk and I appreciate them.

WE stayed Thursday-Saturday. Myra was the staff on sight checking us in. She was so kind and helpful. She gave us a map and gave us some recommendations. Check-in is at 4, we got there at 5, and she informed us that the front desk is open till 10. We got a king room on the bottom floor with a sliding door that led to a pool and hot tub (they let us choose between the top or bottom floor since they had vacancies). The room was very spacious. Let me tell you, the bed was amazing! The pillows were a big thing, but they did give you two per person, and you can request more. I will say the cabinet where the fridge and microwave was was a bit outdated. Made it a bit har to close and open the fridge. Make sure to bring a shower cap if you do want your hair to get wet. The shower head was a bit old/ broken, so it was splashing everywhere. This place is located right at the end of solvang but still just minutes away from everything. The price is very high but so are many of the hotels there. Would recommend books in advance or go on booking sites for a good deal. Overall, it was a great experience and no major complaints.

This place is a SCAM. This hotel poses as a hotel and it is a motel. Look at the picture of the actual pool that was closed down by the county of Santa Barbara, compared to the picture the hotels website has advertised, completely a fraud. The surrounding hotels let me know that indeed, on a WEEKLY basis people that have booked at Kronborg Inn, end up canceling there booking and booking with them instead. The place is dirty, messy, boxes everywhere, caution tape everywhere, and staff is rude and intimidating. Don't stay here, so many nice places to stay in Solvang, CA this is NOT one of them.

The room is nice. It's walking distance from all the shops in Solvang. And the price wasn't bad at all. It was clean and a great place to relax after an eventful day.

10/10!! This small inn is ran by the friendliest couple; Jerry & Melissa!! They make you feel as if you are home away from home! They are very honest with their recommendations & I appreciated all their suggestions. The rooms have new flooring, it looks very nice. Although they have some upgrades to do with the furniture, our chair looked like it was attacked by a lion! I am sure they will get around to it soon.

Staff, location, and the room were all nice but the pillows were hard as a rock and the curtain could not be closed. The white see through curtain could be closed but there was no privacy with the lights on at night also the the early sunlight seeps in.

Their key system is very outdated. Also NO EMPLOYEE IS ON PREMISES AFTER 10pm. My daughter and family came back to their room after 10pm and their key didn't work. So with no one manning the desk they had to call the emergency number and had to wait until someone got called in to open their room. This is ridiculous and I will never stay at this hotel

Room was roomy and very nice and clean.. Loved the balcony to sit for coffee in the morning and wine and cheese in the evening. Outside of the building could use a facelift. Many areas look in need of sprucing up do to the age of the facility.

I don't mind the location at all, it's one block from town. But for what I paid for the room, I expect a working tv remote. I also expect the towel rackin the bathroom to work, but I got a broken tv remote and a broken towel rack. They could not fix the tv remote, I didn't even ask about the towel rack. I'm never going back to this place. If you expect a working tv remote, try a different hotel.

Nice, clean, comfy, as advertised. Very happy with the stay. 2 things tho: blackout/room darkening curtain is needed and the toilet was very short.

Stay will never happen!!!!! The receptionist was extremely rude when we stopped by looking for somewhere to stay. We were looking for a hotel rather than a motel, when I said I didn’t want to stay she followed us out.. slammed the door and locked it. I’d recommend the management find a receptionist with a better attitude!!!

The hotel was clean on arrival .. however the rooms are very small with 2 beds. the jacuzzi time closes to early imo .. post covid norm is less amenities. however they were very nice there.. lil nostalgic place ..

When we checked in they upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite at no extra charge which was really nice. The pros: Room was clean It was roomy The shower and rub were both large The cons: The shower wasn’t sealed so water got on the bathroom floor The jacuzzi tub has the worst water pressure ever so it took forever to fill The tv over the jacuzzi tub wouldn’t change channels The room only has a swamp cooler which is quite loud and provides no AC in the bathroom Overall it was a fine place to stay and very convenient to walking to town but I probably wouldn’t stay here again for the price.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants and shops in town. Room and bathrooms were updated and clean. Bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. Pool was clean and water was warm. Reservation tip: To avoid street noise, reserve rooms by the back parking.
