    Please stay away from Matson Long Beach! I shipped my two vehicles from Matson Hawaii. It was best experience ever. When I came to Long Beach to pick up it was nightmare. It took about 5 hours to get the vehicles according to employee words. He says me wait 5 hours I donโ€™t care!!! 5 hours of my time? Absolutely worst experience ever. The people donโ€™t know what they doing. It took me forever to get my vehicles. Please stay away from Matson Hawaii.

    I have had really great Matson employees help me out. New to this pier and learning it. It's all about the attitude you bring in and don't let anyone's bad day ruin yours. We will only move freight working together.

    Very poor processing of shipping cars. 3 hours to xheck in a car. Are you serious? This business is flawed. Next time I'm looking for a different alternative.

    For the first time ever being on a dock and helping my brother pick up his car. The service was actually pretty quick. They gave us safety jackets for being on the lot with the cars. We're in and out with 30 mins. They kept our car out in the sun but everything was still technically working. They took us from one side of the street to the other to get to our car via truck. That was just funny. Overall fast service. The workers were genuinely nice and professional overall. I had a great experience. Not somewhere I'll go again unless I absolutely have too.

    Garbage place. Everything is super slow. Employees are rude and screaming all the time. I will never come again here. And yes you will spend here all day because who cares?

    I've been holding off on this review since 1995. I had shipped my car from the Big Island to Long Beach. My first view of my vehicle in Long Beach was with wires coming out of the hood, no speakers in the doors and my stereo missing. Matson said I shipped it in this condition. I had also shipped 3 pallets. One was broken into and all of my compact disks (this was 1995) were missing among with other mementos. It was a terrible experience that Matson took no responsibility for. When looking at their reviews, it seems they have not gotten much better in 25 years. This time I chose to ship with Pasha freight. Never again.

    I am dropping of a car. I came yesterday 3:15pm, they working hours till 3:30pm. Guard said they have some computer problem and I should came tomorrow morning. I am here since 7am and waiting for inspection vehicle already 2 hours... terrible service and spending time for nothing!!!!

    Daughter was shipping her car to Hawaii. Make sure you follow whatever rules they say. No more than a quarter tank of gas or you will need to pay someone to cyphon gas out of your car and it is pricey. We didn't have to do it but someone did. I felt sorry for her.

    Employees are great ingate and outgate clerks, roadability shop, the empty container clerks, but some UTR drivers need to slow it down, they be driving fast as if their heads are cut off. They see you backing up they need to yield to you until you are done backing up in the stall.

    UPDATE: Once I was actually able to get in, the process was really simple. I was out in less than 30 min. Everyone was really friendly and you get a free vest! ๐Ÿ˜† They gave me the information to contact about my previous issues and how to get around the automated service phone call so now I feel like this has been a great experience. Thanks to the people that made this experience better! I had a scheduled drop off on July 4th, which seemed a little weird to me but I showed up anyways and was informed by the SSA worker that they were closed for the holiday on the 4th and the 5th. Very frustrating because I had a rental car scheduled in Long Beach that day so I had two vehicles to drive back somehow and it caused a major headache. I was told this happens on nearly every holiday and some people drive in from way further than me. Hopefully when I return on Thursday my vehicle will be accepted. There is a also no customer service line for me to even communicate these concerns with, the automated line is no help at all. Terrible experience so far.

    Very friendly service. Huge facility. The workers and office personal have a good system, but they are overwhelmed by the volume of trucks, which in turn makes off loading a bit slow. If your a driver headed there bring a lunch not an attitude.

    This is my 4rd time shipping with Matson and even with the approximate $300 price increases from 5 to 7 years ago .... their service is Excellent!! I had the nicest and efficient guy helping me here. Many compliments to Jay Ferguson of Matson intake....I was extremely stressed after driving all way from Colorado in extreme heat of 111 degrees some days. What a relief how smooth operation. I only waited 10 minutes with 2 people ahead of me. I arrived at 11am and I was worried about lunch hour wait. No!! They keep working through as long as customers are waiting ( at least day I was here!!) When I checked inside I didn't wait either!! I was helped immediately and was so pleasant. I hand washed car just so I followed all instructions for shipping....Thank God I passed because I was extremely nervous doing the shipment all alone. Everyone seemed pretty happy here....I was meeting other customers and seemed so chill as we waited for our ride pickup up etc. Thank God for Matson and their smooth operation...I'm know many people will need more cars after the huge loss on Maui....I'm suggesting and praying Matson will help with fire victims and give same as military discount or priority shipping so these fire victims can go " back to normal!" ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜

    Every single time I send a truck in with ramps to unload, they tell the driver the only way they can get unloaded is to use their forklift service. So sick of them ripping people off by trying to use their forklift service to unload, they are nothing but crooks. Edit: Per Matson's response they seem to think we need a forklift service - we do not, we send in a truck that has its own ramps to unload, but every time Matson tells the driver that he can't use ramps to unload, he has to use their forklift service at a charge of $400.00 plus. So sick of these big companies basically stealing from everyone.

    Unprofessional service. The container shipping agent gives information that they are waiting for green light from Matson to pickup the cargo! When call Matson and ask for the container status they are telling you, pick up the container and no green light. Unfortunately there no other shipping company to Hawaii, Guam etc.

    No mention of the gas requirements for drop off. Completely wasted a day commuting to long Beach only to be told to go burn gas. Location was closed by the time the gas tank was a t the requested level.

    They completely emptied my gas tank damaged my fuel system left my exterior lights on got stranded at the stop light truck just died after a jump start wouldn't start again got stranded. Had to flush out my fuel system cost me 800 bucks to fix. They shouldn't keep your lights on and empty it till only fumes. This isn't cool man not cool at all. Thank God a tenant drove to me and stuck gas in it. This siould not be allowed causing battery and fuel system issues.

    Very challenging customer service. After emailing several times for a quote with no response I waited on hold for 45 mins and finally had the displeasure of talking to someone who seemed determined to have me spend my money elsewhere. So I did. Pasha for my car and Pods for my household goods
