If I could use another star, I would give one more to this restaurant. The energy here is so wonderful, it lights you up. The master of this restaurant, that first started as Rocotto, a Peruvian style place, more than 10 years ago, is an artist, not only at the kitchen with wonderful and joyful dishes but at painting of detailed artwork that give colors to the great atmosphere of the different rooms in here. I have to congratulate Fabian, because he has experimented with food from Magdalena's roots and keeps going forward thru exquisite plates. Even more, his personnel are well informed and finish the great job making you feel warm and happy in this cozy -not that little anymore- restaurant. If you come to Santa Marta, this must be your first place thinking to go.

Upscale modern dining bringing together flavors from the Caribbean. Lots of great seafood combined with an interesting fusion of sauces. A little bit of old world meets new world. I had a great glass of sauvignon blanc with dinner. The service was good.

A place where we will always come back when in town. Excellent local menu with international flare and presentation. Using local produce the chef creates dishes that compete with any restaurant. Service is quick and friendly. Will be back.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, we really enjoyed the music and the decoration. The food was delicious, delicate cooking with surprising flavors. Super exciting comparing to all the other places we were on Santa Marta. If you are a foodie and appreciate complex food with fair price, this is your place. If you are here, look for Frank, he was our host during the dinner. Though he is not speaking English, he made sure that we will understand all, and all our needs will be answered.

SO GOOD! Best restaurant in Santa Marta! Everything was absolutely perfect and so was the ambiance and the service. I hope to go again so I can try more before I leave Santa Marta :) Bravo to the chef! The only odd thing was we noticed two different tables kept staring at us uncomfortably towards the end of our meal, so we just left confused.

Food here is quite nice. Unfortunately the waiter decided to ignore me for the rest of my order. I wanted to get more but I feel like my presence was not wanted. It was a nice restaurant of which you should book before, they usually are quite busy. But I think they want a more developed clientele, rather that someone like me who is here to try new foods and experience good food from Santa Marta. Alas this was not the case unfortunately, here for the love of food but they don't want that.

I had an amazing experience at Guasimo restaurant in Santa Marta! Javier and Yeimi at the bar were unbelievably friendly, kind, and incredibly skilled. Their warm hospitality made my visit memorable. I love that the Chef's art is displayed all throughout the restaurant—stunning! The atmosphere is great, complemented by an amazing live band, and the food is absolutely gorgeous. I'll definitely be back for more delightful moments!

This place is AMAZING. I love going here when I’m in Santa Marta. I’m Peruvian and this is absolutely the closest thing to being in Peru that I’ve had here in Santa Marta. We ordered the Ceviche, Croquetas de Robalo, and the Arroz de Coco! I only have a picture of the rice because we ate everything else too fast hahaha!

There are many great restaurants in Santa Marta, if you are interested to try an authentic Columbian food, Guasimo is your best choice. Don’t be fooled by the exterior appearance, be brave and enter, the host is super friendly, genuine and you will receive a free smiles. The interior is beautiful and you will see local arts on every wall. Expect little wait time.

One of the best experiences not only in Colombia but in my entire life! Incredibly beautiful and delicious local meals, all tastes, textures and service on point. The prices are impeccable for that overall experience. Can recommend the Pulpo on Arroz (Marañon Pesto), the Robalo Guasimo (great combination of taste of the sauces, high quality fish) and especially the Lomo (beef steak on very creamy and tasty veggie rice, with an incredible chimichurri on top). It was a special Arepas-week, so appetizers were pulpo / beef arepas, both also very good. It’s a 10/10 for sure, would even make a detour just to come here again.
