Chucho came recommended and it didn’t meet expectations. I tried the stingray tar tar but it didn’t taste fresh, the casola was delicious and 5/5 but the service wasn’t fantastic either. It took a long time to get water and the appetizer and I wasn’t checked on at all until it was time for the bill. Overall it’s good but there are better places in town. It’s also interesting how restaurants in Santa Marta leave 2-4 tables reserved outside but nobody sits in them.

I visited with friends for drinks and nibbles. Earlier in the day I had visited a sister restaurant, Chucho Blu (where lunch had been first class). Chucho Gourmet was the quietest restaurant of Parque de los Novios Centro, which was why we selected it (we wanted to be able to chat with one another, as opposed to shouting over music at one another). The little food we ate, with our drinks, was cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and efficient. If I'm in the centre of Santa Marta again, I will definitely visit again.

What an experience. Outstanding service and quality seafood. Excellent entertainment along with the best patio atmosphere in all of Santa Marta.

Best Cazuela de Mariscos I’ve ever had

My favorite seafood restaurant in Santa Marta. High quality hot and cold seafood salads (shrimp, octopus, squid and smoked stingray), excellent cazuela de mariscos, and my favorite, the encocado de mariscos. Nice location in Parque de los Novios with indoor and outdoor seating.

The food was absolutely delightful, offering a wide range of delicious options that satisfied everyone’s tastes. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff making us feel welcomed and ensuring our dining experience was exceptional. What truly stood out was the wonderful atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for an enjoyable meal together. This restaurant has undoubtedly become one of my favorite places to gather with loved ones and create lasting memories.

This place is a disappointment in a Latin Country. Profiling customer at the entrance. We were told that a menu is not available without a reservation. I was shocked to find out that Americans/ gringos were treated special and allowed to enter this restaurant no questions asked. Better for me I found a good Pasta restaurant down the block and I was not discriminated on my race. Latinos please stay away from this place.

We enjoyed our dinner there. The ambiente is very beautiful, tastefully decorated and nice music. The staff is attentive. For the quality of the food it's a bit overpriced in our opinion. They don't have desserts except one" dessert of the house".

Great food! The outside tables were occupied and we asked to be seated outside once a table becomes available. They said yes but never let us know. When we left plenty of tables outside were empty. Inside it is just freezing due to the AC. Nonetheless, great food!

Food was overall good even though they served the white wine after 10 minutes from ordering and warm, but service was all over the place they seem not to know what they are doing. 3 different waiters came to ask ask for the order after I had been sitting for 10 minutes without anybody asking anything, I had to ask for a menu. Drinks arrived quite late and service was super slow despite the fact they had quite a few people on the floor, but maybe not in the kitchen. Tuna tartare is not a proper tartare because the do cook the tuna although it's rare, but overall was nice so still a good rating for food. I would not come back and found better options in Santa Marta

Oh my the food here is so delicious and the service is great. We went a couple times during our trip. I got robalo al ajillo both times. The calamari and mango juice were delicious. They had live music both times we went. The first time we wanted AC so we are inside. The 2nd time we ate outside because we wanted to enjoy the live music

Food was ok, sipmle , fresh, I would expect more tastier, service very good, atmosphere very good. Would i go there again? Maybe, bcuz menu was only in spanish so i couldnt be adventures and choose something tastier, chose mixed seafood which was sautéed with garlic. It was ok.

What an awesome place to have an excellent dinner at awesome prices and ver large portions. Next to beautiful Parque de los Novios with live music. A few minutes walk to Santa Marta Malecon. Streets are full of restaurants, clubs, and restaurants. Extremely save!

Good food from the sea with some nice music

Good food and atmosphere. Be aware of the words in Spanish before you order from the menu. There is a difference in the Spanish language between prawns, shrimp, and lobster. I was not at all disappointed by my dish, however there is definitely a difference in languages when it comes to a lot of seafood dishes. The service was great and our drinks were very good and we will be headed back there sooner rather than later.

We ordered seafood risotto and while the flavor of the rice itself was perfect, it lacked seafood. I expected the plate to include way more seafood. There was a huge line to go into the place but surprisingly the line doesn't get you inside, you have to skip the line and ask the server to make a reservation for you otherwise they will not let you in, the line doesn't serve any purpose.

A very good place if you are looking for a romantic restaurant, on the fancier side, with a very good level of food and service. Everything we had there was amazing, but I appreciated the lobster in particular. Keep some space for the dessert, it's worth it! The waiters were really caring and, although the place was almost completely full, the waiting times were perfectly fine.

Great experience. Their menu offers a great selection of seafood. Live music is a plus. The singer Kenny was good. We got seated on the patio and it started to drizzle so the waiter run to set our umbrellas. How nice! In general great service, food and atmosphere. After that we walked a little to enjoy some vendors in the parque los novios.

I had the mixto of 3 types of prawns....absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is electric as it's so close to parque de los novios.

It is a quiet place with delusion food. The service is great, and the atmosphere is calm.

I came with my kids and wife and found this place to be confusing. I guess the restaurant owners are wife and husband but it’s two restaurants. The odd part is they have two different waiters, so when we placed out orders they had to be with different people but we didn’t know. Even speaking in Spanish, so when the food came out people are missing items. On top of that, they put extra items into the food so when we received our food, not the way we ordered it, they would not take it back. To make it worse, We ordered soda but they brought out sugar free. Because it was already open, they would not take it back. I’m giving them stars because the piña colada was good. And the food we did receive tested good.

Great place to eat seafood with good ambience and variety in the dishes available.

I had high hopes for this place, considering the reviews and high prices. I ordered grilled octopus, and it was definitely not freshly grilled. It was so tough and chewy. I ordered chips with it and it came cold and soggy, I asked for hot and got the same plate of cold chips delivered twice. The server was lovely.

Great quality and tasty food in an lovely outdoor enviroment

Superb seafood dinner! The online menu didn't work but we had a super help with fantastic recommendations from one of the staff. Cheviche, arroz with seafood and calamari were absolutely delicious. Well done!!

Enough has been said that this is a wonderful place. If you love fish and seafood, Chucho’s is the most highly recommended restaurant in this area. And, it’s fantastic, with reasonable prices, and a nice casual environment without loud music.

Really ugly place but great food, staff is always kind and helpful. I was annoyed a guy singing in front of the restaurant and asking for money, it was so loud we couldn't had a conversation plus several people were allowed inside of the restaurant to beg for money. Not pleasant at all

The food was lackluster and unfortunately what made me put the 2 stars was the lack of customer service. We weren't told of entrees that were no longer available until we asked for them - waste of time. Then following our food being served flies everywhere stormed us. Which would've been fine had they lit a candle like they did for the other table. Finally, it took them almost 10 minutes to serve us our drinks after our food had been served. I hate making these comments because I believe a restaurant is more than just the good food. But the lack of service is really what puts this at 2 stars.

I had the mixed seafood platter. It was very large and definitely something you’d want to share with someone else. The seafood was fresh and very tasty. It was 50k COP and the drinks were pretty standard in pricing. The place had a beautiful patio with fans outside and a live singer

Horrible service to foreigners. Waiter after waiter walking by for 15 minutes. I go inside and complain. Head server comes out and takes order.. great food and atmosphere. Lousy service but just for me. I would have been happy to have spent more here but no service. : (

A popular place for dinner. Very colorful surroundings and mixture of locals and tourists clientele. I only see outdoor seatings. No-nonsense seafood mostly, fresh and well prepared. Service can be a bit brisk and particularly if you don't speak Spanish. Performers in front of the restaurant daily, with different music styles. Be prepared to give some tips, as one should, with small peso bills.
