If you're looking for refined food, go and eat here in 'Los 7 Mares' ! It's definitely not too expensive for the quality you're getting. We were very pleasantly surprised. Everything on the menu looked very appetizing and we both ended up choosing a ceviche. I had the Guajira ceviche with camarón (or shrimp in English), my friend had de Sol Naciente - Rising Sun - with Robalo and aguacate (European sea bass with avocado). Both scrumptious! And my friend is a beer drinker to so he tried a michelada called Chipotle. According to him, also fantastic. On top of that there's a great view of the bay and the marina.

Unexpected nice place in the Santa Marta Marina area. Very windy, still pleasant environment in the middle of the Marina and Santa Marta harbour. With a beautiful from the shore to the Sierra Nevada. Delicious food and good service. Rice and octopus fully recommended. A bit more detail on cutlery and avoiding single use plastic is still needed.

Great food , awesome service and beautiful view . My kids love everything and the desert was probably one of the best we ever had.

The view is so nice! But the food... We didn't like the flavor of the Jaiba in this place, the ceviche was ok..., the "Mango Biche Michelada" it looked good but no thanks... We liked the Corozo juice.

Draft beer, surprisingly excellent pad Thai, micheladas con tamarindo. The music is electronic, as compared to the more local Sistema Solar downstairs. I was expecting disappointment ordering a pad Thai in Colombia but I’m so glad I risked it. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not too hard not too soft. The variety of seafoods was fine. If they had an option to pay more for a langostino version, I would certainly have paid more, my only complaint was that there was too much soy sauce flavor in the first bite. Pad Thai doesn’t have soy sauce. The fish sauce flavor was also too light. And I would recommend they serve it with a hot pepper on the side for friends of the spice, can be any pepper, just has to be hot. The one mussel was a little overcooked. Last note, pad Thai has crunchy textures mixed into the profile, they tried with bell peppers which was ok, but bean sprouts are easy to grow and would go a long long way to nailing the texture wonderfully on this otherwise delicious dish. Glad I risked it. In my opinion, the Caribe Caribe entrada needs to be brightened up somehow, we tried limes and it was OK, but maybe there’s something better.. Dog friendly, but not handicap accessible (staircase). Will definitely be back for cerveza de barril. Dayana was very friendly as well. Send my regards to the chef.

For a special occasion, we chose 7 mares as the place for lunch. With a spectacular marina view, we spent the afternoon having some dishes with outstanding flavours. Just delicious. Another place on our top choices for dining in SMR.

This is a mid-upper-class restaurant with good dishes based on fresh seafood. The drinks are also well-selected, and the whole experience is topped-off with very good and cordial staff. I definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Santa Marta and is looking for a sure-bet good experience.

This place is great! Great food and great service. Right on the boardwalk. Was a bit hard to find as it is on the second floor. We ordered fresh fish on mashed potatoes, and seafood plates in coconut sauce, plus banana cake for desert, and all was great. Our server Danis gave us the best service possible. Menu in English is a bit hard to get, but she made it happen.

This place is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I started off with a shrimp and octopus cocktail with avocado that was slight ly spicy. She proceeded to have octopus and some kind of polenta which was delicious. I had ceviche with avocado and a sesame sauce. They were able to accommodate my wife because she is pregnant with a virgin pina colada, and they had the excellent beer of Medellin. It was a great experience and the staff was very friendly. We will be returning there again when we have the opportunity. The place is immaculately clean with a tremendous view of both the ocean and the marina. The breeze that flows through the restaurant is a calming comfort to the sometimes oppressive heat of the Caribbean. The platewares were cute.

Great food! I had the ceviche with avocado (pictured in Mister K’s review) - excellent! And for dessert the yucca cake with vanilla ice cream - great too. Plus the ambience is great, being upstairs with views over the marina to one side and the beach to the other. Strongly recommend!

This came highly recommended and the view did not disappoint. But sadly the food was not good. We got Caribe, Caribe and it was very fishy. We got a ceviche and the fish was gummy. We didn’t get cocktails but those looked good. Service wasn’t attentive.
