The promenade offers excellent sea views, with lots of small boats and tons of options for rent. The people are friendly as well, though you will have to watch out for touts. There are lots of restaurants and drinking options along the promenade. This place, being a tourist district, is pricey as would any other tourist place. The sun set along the marina is one of the best in Santa Marta in an urban set up. There are souvenir shops along though can be expensive compared to the other places in Santa Marta.

Nice sunset spot in Santa Marta centro. Drink a beer on the pier or grab a table at one of the little restaurants along the avenue.

It is a very beautiful place to watch the sunset at. It is a bit crowded sometimes but in general the atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. There are some bars and restaurants nearby where you can relax, however you can go there for free if you only want to see the landscape and chill for a moment.

Is impossible to express the emotions involved to the environment of every evening then connect you with the natural times and set a lot of your expectations about a great panorama.

It is highly recommended to visit this place not on the weekend, you will need peace of mind to be enchanted by the impressive views.

Great for pictures and a quick meal. Many restaurants and stores but also a little crowded and many street vendors, so I recommend eating inside.

Beautiful strip to walk, eat, play, workout and watch a nice sunset. Family and dog friendly place. It’s close to main parts of town. Great way to pass time and feel connected to the locals. Has a calisthenics park.

My ship often calls the Port of Santa Marta. So I get chance to visit the city. Bahia De Santa Marta is like this awesome hangout spot right by the beach. You've got this killer view of the ocean and the chill vibes of the sand and waves. It's the kind of place where you can just kick back, maybe try some water sports, and soak up the good times. Plus, there are cool local stalls and yummy snacks around, so you're all set for a laid-back beach day.

The sunsets are amazing. The beach is close to town but not the most beautiful. Big ships coming in and out because it's next to the port.

Beatiful place on the beach and awesome view for both the sunrise and sunset. Beach is free and never overly crowded. Lots of vendors and they aren't too pushy, you can buy beers too. Easy to get to by foot or taxis nearby. Chill out and enjoy!

Sidewalk Cafe with reasonable good selection and quality of food. Tables are shaky and unstable while you eat, often approached by street hustlers, and a consistent unpleasant smell. Prices are good. Close to beach.

Nice place to hang out , better than Rodadero . Less commercial and real South American vibe . Beautiful view for sunset 🌅, artist and musicians around the beach . Back streets are full of life with good restaurants . Safe

Excellent experience. I have visited at night and the sense of security is very high. It has public restrooms, food, restaurants, souvenirs, stores and an amazing view of the sea, yachts, cargo ship and the harbor. I would recommend it as a mandatory place to visit while you are in Santa Marta. Note: close to this area, you will find different public parks, where you can just relax, seat and enjoy the breeze and the good weather.

Nice beach. There is a constant stream people trying to sell you something. Therefore you never have to go find a beer, someone will be by shortly to sell you one, cheap. Plenty of people, but not terribly crowded when we were there.

A very nice walk along the beach. Go early to watch them fishing boats come in and sell their fresh catch.

The beach is OK, but on weekends or public holidays it is extremely overcrowded with locals and tourists. If you really want to go to the beach, you should go to a beach that is a little further away to find a place and some peace and quiet. The water is only semi-clean due to the nearby harbor and all the garbage.
