We had a nice, affordable stay. We stayed in their upstairs penthouse one night and the ground floor for a night. Both rooms suffered a shortage of hot water (like four minutes and then cold but not frigid), which always loses a star for us in the review. The private pool in the penthouse was quite nice! The staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating. The breakfast offered a nice selection as well.

Great spot in central Santa Marta. Easy room is different and has a great home feel. All the employees are nice and helpful with the front desk people speaking English. They can set you up for taxis, tours, etc. Would stay here again!

Rustic and luxe, this hotel is the perfect fusion of classic and modern. The suite with the private rooftop mini-pool and panoramic views of Santa Martaā€™s mountains and beaches is absolutely jaw-dropping. The staff is extremely helpful and tolerant of someone like me with weak Spanish speaking skills.

Front desk staff were kind and helpful. To cut a very long story short - during my 2 night stay, i had to change rooms 3 times (!) and spent an accumulated 8 hours helping staff trying to sort out technical issues in the rooms. Definitely not how i'd plan to spend my days in Santa Marta... to try resolve the situation, at 22:30 I was offered by the manager to spend the next 2 nights (which I already paid for) in their ā€˜suiteā€™, an offer which he cowardly canceled 1 minute later after leaving the premises via the front desk staff. As you may read in other reviews and as a reply to this one - Management are simply unable and have zero awareness of customer service. No attendance to the discomfort caused. Perhaps if none of these problems with the rooms would happen and with a more component and attentive management - it would have been a decent place to stay.

Incredible little beautiful and tasteful hotel!ā€cherry on a topā€was that all staff spoke perfect English!what a delight, because Santa Marta is not known for itā€¦ Ms Constanza was so helpful and offered us a nurse visit to do Covid test on our last day in Colombia and it was soo convenient!specially if you donā€™t speak Spanish .. Ms Isabel was making sure everything was working in our penthouse and also suggested best drinks and burgers in Santa Marta Kebab by Murat!! Its was excellent !Beautiful and tasteful deco ,lush and well kept garden was true delight, and breakfast was delicious too! I honestly believe this is the best boutique hotel in Santa Marta We felt welcomed and safe !people that worked there were friendly and helpful! We will be back and anybody asking for recommendations where to stay while in St Marta-Casa de Isabella 100% Thank You beautiful girls (Silvia,Isabel,Constanza )and all the staff for wonderful stay!!

Stay was above and beyond!English speaking front desk girls were amazing.Ms Constanza booked a nurse to come to the hotel on a very last day to do a covid tests for us (mandatory requirements by airlines),so we don't have to wonder around with no Spanish ))and Ms Isabel recommended the best bar to get best Mojitos in Santa Marta (as well as best burgers) We were nicely surprised by beauty of this small hotel ,the furniture, deco, cleaniness and delicious breakfast made our stay wonderful experience! we will be back for sure!

There is one primary job of a hotel, not twenty or fifty things you need to do but just one; provide your guests a great night of sleep. Casa Isabella, despite the pretty building and nice staff failed on this point dramatically! We arrived at the hotel, checked in, then went for a walk and for dinner. The following day (today) we had a flight at 9am, which meant we had to be to bed early and awake early. The one problem? Last night was the night they celebrated Halloween. That meant that the entire city was celebrating. While that's fine, the hotel knew in advance that the place just next door was hosting a party. Armed with this information the hotel did nothing to inform the guests or to provide lodging at their other location in Santa Marta. For us we were on the bottom floor in room #3 and could not get any rest till 5am - the music was that loud and bass that strong. We then had a 7am wake-up and are now waiting for our 10pm flight feeling absolutely exhausted and unhappy. I don't like to give a bad review but in this case the hotel failed on their one and only job. I've now got 20 more hours till I get home and have work first thing in the morning. Thank you!!

Nice little hotel in the center of Santa Marta. Good facilites and great location near the nightlife spots and the beach. They have little swimming pool and a couple of nice terrasses. Free breakfast and free wifi. Wifi signals not very strong depending where your room is. The staff are very friendly and professional. Overall a nice spot

We loved our stay here in big part due to our concierge Antonio. He made arrangements prior to arrival to have flowers and champagne ready in our room, helped us with booking our tours and speak to the locals for us with English being a language barrier. We cant wait to visit Cartegena again, and stay with this hotel as we truly felt at home here!

This was overall a nice place to stay. Rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, of the three showers we took, only one had hot water.

Itā€™s fine. Temper your expectations- itā€™s not as fancy as it looks on the site. The location is excellent, beds are comfortable, and the staff is very nice. My biggest complaint is that the hot water is f*ed, so if all you want is a hot shower after hiking all day in Tayrona, stay somewhere else. The toilet was leaking, that also wasnā€™t super appealing. The pool featured prominently on the website is for suite guests only. Regular guests get a much smaller andā€¦ weirder one. Breakfast is fine- about what youā€™d get at a Marriott or the like. Thereā€™s no tub and lots of unenclosed stairs and relatively open railings on the second floor, so itā€™s not a good place to stay with small children- not the hotelā€™s fault, just something to be aware of if youā€™re traveling with kids. Lastly Iā€™ll note that if you read the other reviews, the hotel manager responds to every negative review as if itā€™s a personal attack and the guest is crazy. Having worked for many years in service I know that sometimes the guest *is* crazy, but itā€™s not a good way to respond to criticism. Overall, itā€™s a decent hotel. The staff are helpful, it mostly does what hotels are supposed to do, and itā€™s very well located. Just donā€™t expect luxury and donā€™t bring your baby. Add. I changed my service rating to 5 stars because the staff really is very nice. And despite it not being my first choice for little kids, the camita that they provided (with mosquito net et al) was comfortable and the baby slept quite well. For breakfast, get the pancakes.
