As soon as I walked through the doors of this hostel, I felt welcomed and at home. The staff was so helpful and friendly and was happily willing to accommodate my husband and my vegan diet. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the common area was relaxing and well decorated. The 24 hour reception and 7:30am -11:00pm hours of the restaurant and bar were very convenient. The food and drinks at the restaurant/bar were delicious and were always made with love. The owners and the staff are all very friendly and are always willing to have a conversation or help you with your Spanish. They have 3 really awesome hostel kitties and 1 sweet hostel dog. I have stayed in tons of hostels and this I really love this one. If you want to make friends and experience good Colombian vibes, stay here :)

Veggie hostel with THE BEST VIBES!!!! Walking distance to all the fresh fruit and veggies you could want! Private kitchen for guests, AMAZING AMAZING food. Get the wok veggies! Fresh filtered water for free. Family owned and operated with all the love! Plus kitties and a dog to play with too! Oh and a hottub and hammocks aplenty!

A really funky hostel, so much of colour! The staff were really great, though not many of them spoke much English, but they tried really hard and were very friendly and approachable. The food from the bar was pretty good! It's a very social place, lots of games around, they invite you to chat with the staff, and the commons area is pretty cool and inviting. There's a few cats that wander around, but they don't go in the rooms, and even though I'm allergic I didn't have any issues. Although I only stayed one night, they had an open mic night and I got to witness the musical talents of several staff members. Really fun night! The only drawback is that it's a bit tucked away, and not many taxis seem to know where it is and how to get there. It's fairly easy to get around, though.

This hotel offers a restaurant at midday and on evenings. They have really nice vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, tasty beer and a whole range of cocktails. They also offer the services of a tourism agency in place to organize your trip for the next day if you need to.

I loved it. The people who work there are great, the food is delicious and you will meet nice people from all over the world. It's clean and I really like how they try to avoid plastic. For example that you can refill your water bottle whenever you want with fresh cold water for free.

Without a doubt the best vegan food in Santa Marta (and definitely El Rodadero). You can tell love has been (and is being) put into the place and the food. Amazing service and great vegan food at affordable prices. Would recommend this to anyone coming by Santa Marta - both for staying in the Hostel, and for eating in their restaurant.

Very aggressive dog lives at this Hostel / Restobar. Our service dog was attacked and bitten multiple times resulting in blood. Why don't have you have a sign saying no dogs? Also why do you have an aggressive dog in a place where you invite people to come to your restaurant / bar? We live in Medellin and travel all around Colombia and places that do not allow dogs have signs and our service dog in allowed everywhere since he is not a regular dog and is providing assistance to person with disability. What happens when a blind person enters your hostel / restaurant with their dog and your aggressive dog attacks them?? You are lucky i can see and was able to kick your dog away after multiple bites. The dog should be on a leash or at least warn people before they enter that you have aggressive animal at this establishment. Very rude receptionist who didn't even apologize, instead she blamed us for entering the restaurant. I don't blame the dog but they are irresponsible business owners who put customers safety at risk.

Initially I just wanted to stay in la Casa del Ritmo for a couple of days, but ended up staying way longer then that! The perfect location and beautifully decorated common area and rooms made me fall in love with this place. The staff is incredibly thoughtful, kind and fun, it really feels like you are part of a little family here! I love how much effort they put into being sustainable/Eco-friendly, the cat, kitten and dog just add to the loving environment! A very big plus for me was also the food (vegetarian) which is made freshly and is just beyond yummy! Casa del Ritmo is definitely ne of the best hostels I have stayed in during my SouthAmerica trip. Good things: Good and cheap vegetarian food, the interior design and common areas, friendly and helpful staff, & the location! Possible improvements: beds could be more comfortable, better fans, & more diverse music. Also note that during our stay there wasn't that many people staying in the hostel. This contributed to a not so social vibe.

Our favourite place that we stayed at during our recent 3 week holiday in Colombia. Every time we entered the doors we felt right at home. Casa del Ritmo was so relaxing and has such a wonderful vibe. The staff were extremely friendly and after just a couple of hours they felt like family. As soon as we arrived we immediately booked 2 more nights as we liked it that much. Casa del Ritmo also has 3 resident cats, Hefe, Cajeje and Pantro who are the real one's in charge. The menu is completely vegetarian and everything can also be made vegan which is just perfect for vegan travellers. Also, the food and drink prices were the most affordable that we came across during our Colombia travels, especially considering everything on the Caribbean coast is so expensive. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and air-conditioned. Reception is 24/7, the neighborhood is safe and we really enjoyed the open courtyard design. There was a small jacuzzi which acts as a splash pool, there is kitchen available for those who wish to cook their own food and plenty of hammocks available for those who just wish to crack open a beer and be lazy. If we ever find ourselves in the area we'll definitely be back again. Muy bien 👌🏽
