Such an amazing hostel! Friendly and knowledgable staff, my check in was super easy. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Beautiful garden. The owner, Dimitri was extremely helpful. Great location!

I can't say enough good things about Hostel Tunido. It's 2 blocks off the "main area" for hostels and hotels, but as a result you get better service and very fair prices. The hostel interior was beautiful and very clean. The coffee was great and I had a decent pizza after arriving late and exhausted, accompanied by beer the owner brewed himself! I asked if they had a laundry service and they did it in house and had it clean, dried and folded by the next morning. The room was great, new and clean and comfortable, with AC. They also have dorms and a spot to work or hang out in hammocks. I'll definitely stay again.

The best hostel in town. Big and comfortable beds. Amazing breakfast and friendly staff. Loved to stayed there. Stayed for a long period and it has a nice base to keep visiting the attractions around like Minca, Palomino, Tayrona and many more. Love you guys.

This is an OASIS in Santa Marta. It’s perfect if you have to stay overnight. Spacious double rooms, delicious and well-served breakfast, perfect staff. Wi-Fi was reliable and stable for meetings reaching up to 60mbps. There’s a friendly cat. Very safe.

Decided to stay here due to good reviews but every bit of my check in experience was TERRIBLE. Horrible service. Arrived and the room wasn’t ready. I came back after check in and it was still not ready. They couldn’t find the keys to the room. The guy sent me into a horrible street to find food which I couldn’t even find food in. Why would you send anyone visiting down that street. Took forever to open the main door as well which you need to buzz to go in. Horrible experience through and through. Didn’t even help with my bag. The cleaning lady apparently took the keys, so I don’t have a key currently. Towel is discolored and has rips. Disappointed overall

Excellent host and staff - warm and knowledgeable. Ran by a young Belgian man who moved here years ago and decided to build this place up with care. I felt welcome as soon as I entered and til the moment I left. Though we have a multitude of comfortable options to stay here in Santa Marta, their hospitality (and the quiet seating areas with hammocks) quickly won me over.

We stayed there a week during our trip and we loved it. The hostel is in a colonial style house and has been recently renovated. The atmosfere is very chill and the staff incredibly nice and helpful. The balance quality-price is good. I definitely recommend the place!

The lady at the reception is super nice and extremely helpfull. What I really liked is the internet which is super fast and I could work comfortably from there.

A special place... Tunido combines everything you are longing for in a welcoming and relaxing environment in the centre of Santa Marta! Hammocks, plants, a terrace, a coworking space, homebrewed beers, delicious fresh food, airconditioning, spacious and clean rooms with lockers, double private beds in a quiet dormitory,... But most of all... the committed owner and his lovable staff are always happy to help you and make you really feel at home. Going to Santa Marta is going to Tunido :)

stopped in for dinner without many expectations and holy cow their ceviche was amazing, like, really good. staff also super kind. would absolutely come back (and it seems like their hostel has great vibes too). 10/10.

Great hostel, comfy beds with huge lockers and they’ll hold your stuff while you go to minca. There’s hammocks and plenty of space, the food is nice too and they do night security. Only drawback is the area isn’t safe to walk around after 6pm

Great hostel with comfy beds and a nice staff. The owner was really nice and helpful, and so were all the girls working there. I stayed here for quite a few nights while diving almost every day in Taganga, and the quiet atmosphere of the hostel was perfect for me.

Super friendly & helpful staff!! Clean rooms with nice bathrooms/showers, beautiful ambience with comfortable chairs all around to escape the Santa Marta heat and relaaaaax. Great location with delicious breakfast and cafe, the staff was always around to help with advice or transportation. Highly recommended!!

This hostel was super!! Very clean and quiet. We stayed in a 4 bedroom female dorm. There were curtains and a night light. I wish the stairs up to the top bunk was easier on the feet though. It was quite high!

This place is a gem. The architecture is so cute, staff friendly and helpful and the location is on a side street close to downtown. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had AC.

The check in was smooth-- and the front desk had tons of helpful information! The common areas, room and shared bathrooms were clean and cozy. The food and drink menu were delicious at a very reasonable price. The wifi was good through out the hostel and the vibe was decent (people actually hung out in the common areas and the staff were regularly available). The location didn't feel unsafe, but it was not particularly close to the main hype area which is the parque de los novios. Things to improve... (1) COVID safety was LACKING. The staff rarely wore a mask, but even worse.... the food prep staff never wore a mask. Guests in common areas were not required to wear a mask. All the covid safety signs seemed a joke, since nothing was followed. This hostel does NOT require a vaccine proof-- and guests openly bragged about having fake vaccine papers *CRINGE* (2) the smell of the shared room, it needs improved ventilation. (3) bathroom was out of toilet paper from like 10pm till 9am.

Stayed here 1 night with my gf and here is my impression of this place - nice hostel with amazing stuff, but few things to improve: 1. Top beds need some kind of protection so people don’t fall down from 7-8 feet (2.5 meters) height. There was no protection at the moment of my stay and I got a top bed in 10 beds room. I don’t move a lot during my sleep so that wasn’t a problem for me, but for others it might be. 2. One of the doors in the showers wasn’t closing properly. Would need to be fixed. 3. No hot/warm water in the shower. The temperature of the shower water was about 23-25 Celsius. Not a big deal, but something to improve. 4. WiFi - had issues with connecting, and then later it would disconnect by itself. Things I liked: 1. Location - 3 minutes walk from the city center. 2. Stuff - amazing, helpful and friendly. 3. Towels not included in the price of the bunk bed - a big plus for backpackers who travel with their own towels and don’t want to spend extra money on that. Btw, I wasn’t one of them at the time, still think it is a good thing. 4. Breakfast was fairly good as well with arepas, eggs and fruits, as well as coffee. Nothing special, decent quality:) Overall, good place to stay, but has few things to improve.

Tunido, one of the best hostels in Santa Marta, Colombia. Clean, spacious and cozy. Comfortable beds for a good night sleep, healthy delicious food, friendly staff, located in the historical center and you can get free kombucha, if you are nice, positive and friendly. Five minutes to the beach, shopping, central market and public buses to get to Palomino or Minca.

I loved this hostel! The owner Dimitri and the staff were just lovely, the hostel really has a homely, very relaxed vibe. The cook is just amazing! Seriously, all of the dishes she made were just too good. The hostel is nicely decorated, the shared dorms are decent: clean, nothing too fancy.

One of the best hostels I've been to in Colombia. There are just really nice and helpful people working there. Everything was clean, really good food, including vegan options. The beds in the dorm are very large with their own socket, light, curtain and their own large, lockable luggage compartment. Possibility to store luggage if, for example, you go to Tayrona and don't want to take it with you. I would go there again at any time.
