The service given for the price you pay is not worth it. People take too long to solve any issue, there is no sense of urgency when helping out with one's needs. There is no care for the animals around, the horses they offer are sick, with no care, the guides are irresponsible and let you wonder off. The only good thing is the scenery.

Very nice place but 2 times we had problem with our taxi reservation. First we had a confirmation about the hotel that a taxi had to take us in Carthagena for 500 000 pesos : nobody come !!!! We had to find our own taxi and we paid 570 000 ! Second time, we just lived the hotel with the taxi who booked with them. The price was normally 110 000 we paid 140 000 !! We told there was a mistake, the taxi guy called the hotel and the hotel said to him the price is correct ! I have the proof they lie in this mail they sent to me : Ā«Ā We would like to advise you of the current status of your booking enquiry ****: Confirmed Attached is the vouchers of your bookings. It's important that you print it to show at your arrival to Ecohabs Tayrona. We have reliable taxis that makes the service to Tayrona Park. The price of the taxi service from Santa Marta is 85,000 pesos, from the airport 110,000 and from Cartagena 500,000 pesos. We only need to know time and place of the pick-up to confirm the transport.Ā Ā» So .... no respect for the customer !

Check in one hour after check in time, no water, juice or anything was offered in a super warm day. Unfriendly service from the first minute. They refused sending breakfast to the room when my wife (who is pregnant) was having morning sickness. After speaking to them they offered to send only hers and not mine! Which I refused and went to breakfast to get it myself. The front desk manager was just terrible and I actually can speak Spanish. Massive cockroach in our bedroom on the first night No hot water during our stay We heard different versions of breakfast time throughout the stay, 6:30, 7, 7:30 Filthy public restrooms in the restaurant area Restaurant food was average and the worse weā€™ve had in Colombia. Terrible communication re the guide waiting for us at reception which meant we missed our tour There is nothing eco-friendly about this hotel. The bathroom in the room hasnā€™t seen a lick of paint since the 80s. In fact, the entire hotel is very 80s Some amazing hotels just 15 min away, avoid this one.

Not as expected the restaurant in the place sucks! Like I've tried bad food but that was definitely the worst. And not like one meal, I stayed over for all three main meals and all of them were horrible. I really expect you to fix this cause I really like the park and it's nature.

Not a great stay, location is OK but the staff is completely disinterested and rude making the stay very uncomfortable. Food is poor. We were happy to leave. Just do a day trip to the park and for the same amount of money, you can stay at a nice five star hotel at the entrance with people that speaks English and care about your wellbeing.

Very disappointing. The place has great potential due to location, but itā€™s extremely overpriced for what they offer: the food is average at best, service is lacking, and the cabaƱas, while nice, are not worth close to the Ā£100/night we paid. Using the term ā€˜ecoā€™ is also disingenuous given that the only drinking water available is in small plastic bottles, again overpriced.

Honestly for the price you pay it is not worth it. We were staying at the Ecohubs Taganga and the taxi to get there is a rip off. The hotel told us that the price was 10,000 but the taxi charged us 30,000 for a 5 mins trip from the hotel to Taganga city. The city is super dangerous and you cannot even walk from the hotel to the city so you depend on taxis every time. The hotel should have a shuttle service for free, for the price you pay it is the minimum they can do. They have 0 respect for their customers. Our room was not cleaned and the swimming pool either. There was a bar but there was no one serving, you had to chase the staff to get served. The restaurant is super expensive and the breakfast poor. We actually cancelled our last night because the taxis were so expensive that it was cheaper to stay at another accommodation in Santa Marta. Cancellation policies are not easy either, you cannot call anyone and the receptionist cannot cancel it either, it is only via email and they don't refund any money. I didn't get my money back. I'm giving 2 stars for the scenery which was stunning.

Their website is absolute garbage. Tried to contact them after booking, no answer to email. Phone was disconnected at the time but apparently it is working now. Thought we got scammed so tried to cancel the accomodation. Turns out it is a real place and they fought to charge us. Will be reporting them in Colombia to the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y turismo. This is no way to run a business. Please find somewhere better to stay

Breathtaking views, nice staff and lived the hut room concept. Great place to stay inside of Tyrona and the perfect place to disconnect comfortably. Wifi only works at the restaurant/lobby. Only caveat is that you have to climb many stairs to get to your hut (you can figure it out by pics) but totally worth it. Food is okay, but servers are nice so it makes up for it. Rooms only have a ceiling fan and you're in the middle of a park so expect to share your room with insects, geicos and probably a friendly bat. We totally loved it. The hotel also has its own little beach "piscinita.". It's was great!!

This place should be amazing.I didnā€™t know what to expect, so itā€™s not that I had high expectations. The scenery is amazing and the serenity of switching the phone off and just being present in the moment is truly fabulous. The concept of the Ecohabs is great but itā€™s insanely expensive for what it actually is and our experience was marred by a number of things. Getting there is a total nightmare. I acknowledge that is not the fault of the accommodation, as such however the information on their website and in the guidebooks is misleading. We took the Berliner bus from Barranquilla, as recommended by local family members, to be the best option due to being unable to take the car in to the park, the driving etc. The journey from Barranquilla to Santa Marta took 5 hours instead of 3 due to massive amounts of traffic and closing the roads to reduce the flow/weight. The road traffic has to be regulated because of the volume of trucks which supply the northern part of the county with everything. Granted, this would be the same had we travelled by car but still, the journey time should be mentioned. The journey does however highlight some sobering sights of Colombia. Once in Santa Marta, we were advised to get the bus to the park entrance we needed for the accommodation. Fine in theory, however the buses are overcrowded (seats full, aisles full, passengers standing on the step of the bus) and given that the journey from Santa Marta to the park entrance is around an hour (by taxi) we didnā€™t fancy our chances on the bus. Taxi was the only option to get us there before park closure at 5pm (we left Barranquilla at 9am!). Of course, the taxis take advantage a bit, even when you are traveling with a local. We went straight for food at the restaurant at 4pm and ordered red snapper. It was delicious although Iā€™m not convinced it was the fish we ordered! A quick walk to the beautiful beach before sitting in the Ecohab with a view, watching the sun go down, listening to the waves. A (very) cold shower before peacefully dropping to sleep. Perfect. But then it rained in the middle of the night and our roof leaked directly on to the bed/pillows. Not so perfect! Not much we could do in pitch darkness in the middle of the night. We did report it the next day but nobody was very interested. Up for breakfast the next day. Breakfast was disappointing. Freshly scrambled eggs with some very dry sweet bread and two less than average small arepas. Some (not so) fresh fruit and luke warm coffee. Itā€™s not how I envisaged my day starting, given the price tag of the visit.I must mention that I ordered the ā€œcontinental breakfastā€ which was offered to us by the waiter as opposed to the Americano. We werenā€™t offered the menu, nor the other breakfast items. Looking at the menu on the website as I write, we were given the Americano. My advice, save yourself the 30,000COP! We checked out and weā€™re told that we could use the hotel Facilites all day. We checked that we could use the beach towels and that we could clean up before leaving. Yes, no problem, so headed to the hotel beach only to be told no towels available despite them having requested them from the hotel an hour before. When we finally got one (after nearly an hour) we had to leave. The nearest shower is a short walk back near the hotel but we were not allowed to leave the beach with the towels. Back at the hotel, nowhere else to shower or clean up other than than restaurant bathroom which is just a toilet and a sink. We then started the mammoth 5 hour journey back to Barranquilla which again, required a taxi back to Santa Marta (another hour) because the bus option wasnā€™t an option! Note that there are 2 fees to enter the park-one is insurance and the other is park entry. One would have thought that the hotel would have a deal with the park that if you are staying in official accommodation, that park entry (at least) is free/reduced. Thereā€™s also a fee for the bus inside the park to take you to the Ecohabs. A very expensive, unrelaxing and disappointing trip and yes, we DID research it.

Very nice location but absolutely overpriced. Tried to charge for items we hadn't consumed. No mattresses on the sunbeds at the beach. Almost impossible to swim in the ocean. Food mediocre. The design of the rooms is bad. This is a 2-3 star hotel with s fantastic location. Value 50-70$

Great potential but needs investment and better service. Not value for money in any way except for location. - The bungalows are in ok shape - The food is mediocre - Ok service in reception but not helpful staff at the beach (additionally, why are there no beach towels?) - Weak wifi and ammeneties in general Not recommend at this price.

Cool location and great views. Rooms are a bit outdated, but it was ok. They only had mosquito net on one bed and the other was not great. No one speaks English so be prepared, and if you donā€™t, you wonā€™t know anything about the hotel.. no letter/brochure etc. Restaurant food and service was awful. Piscinita beach was great they had tables and loungers, but not enough cushions and didnā€™t provide any beach towels. They didnā€™t respond to any emails or answer the phone at all prior to arrival. Unfortunately Canaveral beach was littered with so much trash it was horrific. Not the hotel but just a comment about the park itself.

These are the pros and cons based on my experience. Pros: The property is beautiful, fantastic view, very unique. Cons: The food was below average. Uncooked chicken and horrible desert. they have limited Wi-Fi that you can only access it in the restaurant and at the reception are, and itā€™s one of those annoying Wi-Fi that constantly kick you out, and you have to log back by entering user name/password every few minutes. . The beach is a very small area, so if you stay more than one night you will get bored here. in order to access other beaches it is a long walk/hike from this place . The bathroom is one level lower than the room, you have to go downstairs to use it. Upon check out, they gave me a bill five times more than it should be. I only had dinner and a bottle of water and they literally charged me five times more. Make sure to check the bill and donā€™t just hand in your Credit Card and let them swipe. When you stay here, expect a lot of discomfort. From where the bus drops you off, you have to walk about 25 minutes to get to the property and there is no other means of transportation except overpriced horses. The hotel does not help the customers by arranging transfer.

This place could be a 10...but Being an "eco" structure in the middle of a natural reserve does not allow to provide such a low quality accommodations. Bathroom are terrible, old and rusty in some parts, with no hot water. Breakfast is mediocre for the price paid and not made with attention since we found dead mosquitos cooked in the scrambled eggs. The fruit had some little insects inside and after telling to the waitress she did not even propose to replace them.

The hotelā€™s location is amazing (sea , beach , ā€¦) but the staff is useless. They donā€™t listen to you and when you order something you have to wait a least 1h before itā€™s coming to your table. AND do not eat at the hotel ( especially the ceviche) because nothing is fresh.

It is the perfect hotel to relax . You are in the middle of the ocean and nature. It's also close to the enter of park ragtime if you want to walk in the jungle see animals and find a lovely beaches. The breakfast is delicious. Staff and management are wonderful. We have a lot of fun in the hotel and the staff were wonderful to us. The Best Natural Hotels in Tayrona Park. Wow. What an amazing place!

Multiple issues throughout our stay: they booked us into the wrong room, no Wifi, toilet didnt flush properly, long delays at check-in and check-out. It was just a big hassle. Also, this part of Tayrona is crowded and really unimpressive. Don't come here.
