Great Hostel, nice pool and staff is friendly. Just curious that as soon as you „loose“ one thing it’s gone forever. Happened to multiple people. And to the guy that stole my box with carbonara in it: I hope you get food poisoning

Good little hostel in Santa Marta. Outside of the main drag, but that’s a good thing! We stayed in a private room, but the dorms also looked very spacious. Note the deluxe rooms upstairs have hot showers! The reception staff here are amazing. I was unfortunately unwell during our stay, meaning we had to cancel and rearrange rooms very last minute, and they were so helpful and accommodating. The cleaners are also super hard working, making the breakfast as well! I can’t say the same of the bar man who is absolutely bone idol. Sits facing away from his bar, watching whatever films he wants on the bars tv and sound system. Not really what people want in the ambience of a bar! A change here would probably see the bar sell a lot more drinks!

Very good hostel for what you’re paying for it! Very sweet and helpful staff. The included breakfast is also very nice. The beds are good but some could be replaced.

This hostel is like a paradise. The staff are great, the food is even better and they have a swimming pool with great vibes. Private rooms are very clean and they offer heaps of day experiences, including the lost city trekking!

Best thing about this hostel?! The chef!!!! And he is a chef, not a cook, this dudes homemade hummus is comparable to some of the best I've eaten. Also, the reception staff, breakfast staff, cleaners, everyone here really are just really lovely. This is not a party hostel, it is chill, good people, good vibes. Great swimming pool and good music 🎶 Wifi is excellent so you can work online if you need to. 10 minute walk to the historical area. Curtains on bunk beds for privacy. All in all a truly great hostel.

The hostel is a nice place to dwell, especially the garden. But the service is not particularly friendly. In particular, they charge (incorrectly) the 19% IVA to foreigners, so the price is more than you expect. Also, the wifi is bad.

Really sweet and helpful staff, they let us store our bags during a 5 day trip to guajira and tayrona, and let us clean up when we returned, before a long overnight bus journey. they even remembered our faces when we came back to stay again!!! clean and quiet.

The Hostal is a good spot to visit the places around. Its clean, the rooms are big with a lot of space. They offer a lot of tours and are very helpful! The staff is suuuper friendly and helps out with every question! Kitchen is very good equipped. The only problem is, that its not in the center so during the day we had to walk about 15min. And at the pool are a lot of mosquitos bzzzz.

Great hostel with very friendly staff. If you are looking for anything social, I would recommend staying at another hostel. Goof AC in the room and pool area is nice!

Good economical choice in a quieter neighborhood and short walk to market and Minca bus. A young foreign backpacker hostel mostly. Can store belongings for a few days for your other short travels away and back. Good breakfast and starts at 7am! Aircon starts at 8 or 9pm but no fans. Has curtain around bed plus locker and bathroom attached. Lots of lounging spaces.

Bad customer management. I wrote to this hostel with the intention of booking directly through them, and avoiding commissions on other platforms such as Booking and Hostelworld. They replied in no uncertain terms that they absolutely do not offer cheaper prices to those who book through them. Leaving aside the absurdity of the reply, when I asked them why, they never gave me another answer. Well done guys, this is really the way to get a "good" reputation before you even set foot in your establishment.

Nice for a night. Main downside is the beds are too squishy. I had to put the pillow under my hips to keep my back from injury (I sleep on my tummy), but still woke up sore. Staff is nice and breakfast is good. Pool and shower water were both warm, which was not helpful in the heat Ordered a salad for dinner because I arrived late, but it was super small. Maybe if you can handle eggs in the heat, it would be more filling but I can't imagine that making the portion much different. I then ordered cheese fries and those were cheaper and more substantial. The fresh juice was good, too.

I stayed 7 nights and I really enjoyed my stay here. Staffs are super friendly and very helpful as well. It is close to the bus station where you can go to Minca , Tayrona park and the airport!! I liked the location too because it is not in the super center but close enough to walk (10-15min) and the neighborhood is quiet and hostel is close to the big main street too. If you take a cab from the center it will not cost more than 10,000 pesos.

A very nice place to stay for the price. I stayed here one night just to catch the bus to Cartagena the next morning. Friendly staff and air conditioned private room. I got it for a good price. Close to the nightlife area and grocery shopping

The place is alright for what you pay. Showers are pretty cold and the wifi tends to cut.keep that in mind if you are here to work.

The perfect spot to come and relax in Santa Marta. The friendliest staff (especially Anna!) and great (free) breakfast. A little removed from central downtown but an easy stroll to get there. They even let me leave my bag overnight while I went to Tayrona!

Very nice hostel. Close to the market where most buses leave from and reasonable walking distance to the centre of town. The hostel has a relaxed vibe but is also social and easy to meet other travellers. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is super nice. Sol at reception was always there to answer our needs with a smile :)

Phenomenal staff, very accommodating, and while I common complaint I've seen is low quality AC that is not something I experienced. My AC was great, in two different rooms, in two separate buildings.

Very nice hostel, near the city centre. There is a kitchen and a restaurant inside. Breakfast is included, you can choose between 2 options. Staff very helpfully and friendly! Rooms are good.

Cacao hostel is cute, breakfast is great, very affordable, great for solo travellers and the dorms are spacious and have lockers. There’s a pool which is great and everyone talks to everyone! My stay was made even better thanks to Maria the lady at the counter. 10/10 attention!!! She was awesome and she helped me with every question and query I had, she was also a good conversationalist. All the staff in the hostel were great. To describe this hostel in two words. Great vibes!

One of my most favorite hostels in Colombia! A perfect place to be with a nice swimming pool, free, awesome breakfast, a bar with 'restaurant', outside and inside sitting area. 20 min walk to the beach / city. They offer a free luggage room, we left part of our luggage for a week there. The bus connection to Minca or Tayrona is just around the corner. The most welcoming cozy atmosphere with the best staff ever! They try to help you as much as possible. I definitely recommend this place and would stay there anytime again. Special thanks goes to Fernanda and her awesome cooking! :D :D

Really nice place, the only thing is that is a little bit further from the centre. It has a really big breakfast, very clean, big rooms with aircon! Spacious chillout space with hammocks and pool. Big kitchen. Good quality for good money! Only a lady at the reception could be nicer ;)

Really nice hostel with clean rooms and great pool area! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Just don't eat at the restaurant. Food is awful, bland and thrown on the plate without a care. AND it's not by any means cheap. This was the burgers specifically but I'm sure the rest of the food is of a similar standard.

We rented the whole place over airbnb. But the landlord was checking on us multiple times, every day. You are not allowed to do that as an airbnb host. They also wanted extra money for visitors. The hosts were friendly in the beginning but it was clearly acting, in the end say were terrible hosts, angry and discussing everything. We got a few old towels that smelled like cat piss (yes there are cats everywhere, nothing for alergic people). Cold and old showers. Very thin walls, xou hear everything. Way too many rules, not recommenable for a relaxed vacation. Do not go there.

Great hostel, good location. Also the staff was super helpful, specially Martin the volunteer. The only issue was with the Internet connection

Nice spot. Bilingual host which helped if you aren’t fluent in Spanish. Has lots of amenities: full kitchen, pool, showers, towels provided. The only reason for not 5 stars was there were a lot of ants in my room due to the open air concept that they provide.

The best hostel in Santa Marta! Breakfast included, pool, nice bar and lounge area in the back with lots of plants, good kitchen for lunch and dinner, great staff, great prices, coworking spaces, good wifi...been there for 5 weeks early 2022, can only recommend! Great location too - walking distance to supermarket, center and beach. Of course they also offer a bunch of tours to all the places you might wanna visit around Santa Marta.

👍 Still a lot to do but it seems they improve everything step by step. @staff, don’t waste time on painting the men’s showers. Makes totally no sense at all. Use tiles 🙄! Finish the houses and it will be a very nice place to stay and relax.
