Misleading description Run down more like private hostel room No hot water wifi terrible. Everything dirty. Front door is padlocked needs to be open for every guest every time by staff The free breakfast is 2 eggs and a pice of.white bread. Much better places steps away for some price.

Cute little hotel in Santa Marta. Facilities were great, had a little pool in the top floor as well as some places to chill. The owner and staff were super nice with us. Breakfast is not buffet but it's quite decent nonetheless.

Very friendly staff, always ready to help you out with whatever you need. Would love to come back to this hotel! The hammocks and pool on the roof are very nice too, we hung out there for quite some hours :) The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good too, although not a lot of variation.

Lovely, quiet hotel in Santa Marta Columbia. Very centrally located being close to the beach and the main pedestrian plazas. We enjoyed our stay here. The roof top pool is a nice amenity as are the hammocks. The hotel was clean, breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

If I had to stay in Santa Marta again, I would stay in La Calzada del Santo. Very spacious rooms and nice place to chill at the roof. The breakfast was also delicious. The owner was very helpful. She managed to arrange washing of our clothes even though we checked-in very late in the afternoon and stayed only for one night. She also organized the pick-up bus for our trip to Cartagena.

Unfortunately our stay at La Calzada was highly unpleasant. Here are some small but wnnoying problems first: The staff at the hotel only spoke very little English, the safe in our room was broken and the bathroom was only separated by a tall wall but not fully enclosed. More annoyingly, the hotel is next to a night club with the bass clearly audible in the room with the windows closed. Furthermore, in the morning at 6am we were awoken by people in the plaza blasting loud music and preaching intensively through a microphone. The worst thing about the stay was that in the morning there was no running water so we couldn't even flush the toilet. When the water eventually came back the water was a disgusting brown colour so we couldn't shower and had to brush our teeth with bottled water. The second morning, the electricity also cut off so there was no air conditioning, fan or WiFi. Management was not very concerned with offering any kind of reimbursement for these major inconveniences.

Great place to stay in the center of Santa Marta. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the hotel a lot, especially the pool and the tasty breakfast. Staff was also very friendly and helpful in any way.

Very well kept place. The room was spacy, modern and very clean. All staff were extremely helpful and always went out of their way to arrange transport or make reservations for restaurants, etc. I can definitely recommend this place to everyone who would like to have a pleasant stay on Santa Marta.

Very clean, great location, delicious and healthy breakfast. But the real winner for me was the friendly staff. The owner is wonderful person who helped me in a desperate time, for no personal gain. The entire staff were great. I would definitely stay here again.
