THIEVES! THEY STOLE MY $500 WORTH OF MY STUFF AND DENIED IT! DO NOT TRUST. STAY AWAY DO NOT BECOME THE NEXT VICTIM. The owner is a liar and will do everything she can to blame you. Our room was cleaned and my stuff was gone, it was the staff who did it. Check their reviews, there’s more victims. There’s no cameras near the rooms.

This is a great hostel for solo backpackers, genuinely down to earth people here when I stayed. The owner is very friendly and communicative. Some dorm rooms have air con makes sleeping comfortable, important when you need to get up early to dive. The beds are comfortable if a bit rickety, but it’s overall a pleasant environment with a pool, and great value for money. Only improvement really is that the bathrooms could be cleaned more frequently and be better stocked. The bar serves nice cocktails with happy hour, and the restaurant standard is as good as you’d expect with a French owner.

Pros : A hostel with a pool which is nice to relax during the afternoon. There are also hammocks around which makes a relax vibe. You also have the possibility to eat on site. Cons : the rooms are very very basic and it can be very hot and noisy. My room’s window was giving on the pool area and I did no manage to sleep as people were talking late at night. I had decided to shorten my stay because of that, and the owner made me feel really uncomfortable, telling me how business was hard. Also, because I had not eaten at her restaurant, she seems very annoyed. Anyway, not the best vibes from her.

I stayed here for about a week, left for 2 days and returned for another week. This hostel is really great, it’s ran well and the staff all know what their roles are it seems. It’s cleaned often, the beds are made daily and the rooms is always clean. Small things like there being hand soap and hand towels around every basin was nice. The dorms have good AC which you can control yourself. Bed are as comfortable as you’d expect in a hostel. The food was incredible! I had got through most of the menu whilst I was there and everything was amazing. The bread (and brownie) is all hand made which is so much better and if you’re European you’d appreciate it. Especially after eating terrible Colombian bread for a while. They offer menú del día at lunch times. The bar was great at night to socialise and play pool. It’s a good vibe, not too loud but also a great atmosphere. Overall I’m very happy I found this place. I was feeling homesick and weird at the time of my stay but this place (As well as Lucie and Lola) gave me a comfortable homely feeling. Oh also I had to have a Root canal operation during my stay and Lucie arranged the entire thing for me from the taxi to the dentist practise and I’m very grateful for it. One of my favourite hostels in 7 months of travelling. If I were ever in Colombia in the future I’d make an effort to revisit this place.

They stole my friends belongings and were not accountable at all. It was the employees who did it. If you read the responses of the owner on the bad comments, she always accuses the guest and takes zero accountability. That's a telltale sign of the terrible way they run their business. Not taking the accountability and blaming the guests

Really nice stay in the hostel ! The staff was super nice, helpful and kind. The furnitures really good and the food from the restaurant marvellous ! I had a great stay there, chilling at the pool where you can also get diving sessions. The owner is really easy to talk to and great vibe there she tries to maintain and make it better !

I recommend anyone to stay here simply because they have the best food of any hostel I’ve ever stayed at in the entire world. Their curry might be the single best dish I’ve had in Colombia. Staff is great and rooms are awesome.

I’m traveling in South America for 6 months now, and I never stuck in the same hostel for more than 3 days. This hostel has a magic atmosphere that made me stay every day. The food is great the staff is awesome and very professional. I’d like to thank personally to: Lucy, Greg, Florián, Kura, Sofia and Ana to make my stay out of this world.

Super extensive vegetarian menu. Took the vegetable curry that was very delicious. Best part, however, was the special jugo mix (probably the best I had in Colombia so far!!) and the service. Will come back :)

Nice hostel that also has diving courses in the pool. They should add more shade to the upstairs kitchen area because it is way too bright with the sun beating down. The staff were really friendly. Bed was comfy. I wasn't a fan of Taganga in general, but the hostel was good. I liked that they put 3 soap dispensers in the dorm bathroom. It's not common to have 1 hand soap in many Latin American hostels, so I enjoyed that 😂

The best hostel I have stayed at! Peaceful, great vibes, plenty of opportunities to socialize, clean rooms with AC, and everything you need for a great stay including pools. They also have great food there for those lazy days where you want to stay in. Lucie, Jacob, Greg, and the whole team are great. Highly recommended!

We went for a taster dive with divanga and it was a great experience. Alan was our instructer and he was great, really nice and made us feel very at ease for our first diving experience! We then went for lunch at hostel and the food was very good, the lady who runs the hostel was so kind and made us feel welcome even though we weren't even staying there. Would highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic hostel. The staff are brilliant, great vibe for a solo traveller looking for Carribbean paradise! Great for practising Spanish, going to the dive school it's connected with and chilling by the pool. Stayed for 4 days but could've stayed 4 weeks! Oh, and the food is amazing too! 6/5 stars.

This hostel is a fun hostel with good people! I would not describe this hostel as party hostel. There is a bar where we hang out a lot with a pool table. The people that work here make it great even if you come alone. The food is great and the rooms are comfortable. Try out scuba diving through the hostel. It's a great deal and you get 10% the amazing food that they serve. Highly recommended. I stayed 5 nights.

La mejor! Had a beautiful stay here while doing my diving course. Juan, the volunteer, el jefe, provided good service! Nice food too :)

A great hostel to stay at during a diving trip in Taganga. We booked all our fun dives and PADI through Divanga and everything was seamlessly arranged for us, even beginner lessons in the hostel pool! The food in the hostel's restaurant was incredible, a little expensive for where you are but worth it for the size and quality of the dishes. The bar staff were friendly and the cocktails were great too. The hostel was very sociable and a great place to meet people every day. The room was a little small but always clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Location is a little dodgy as Taganga is not very safe but the owner gives you plenty of advice on walking around and where to go. Only complaint would be that the guest kitchen leaves a lot to be desired, as people who like to cook especially around diving we were very limited. There was only one bowl (I had to borrow one from the restaurant every day) and a tiny selection of cooking utensils and pans. It was always very dirty with lots of flies, meaning you are forced to eat in the restaurant every day. Having a better kitchen, given they have a good one for the chefs, would make the experience much better for a hostel.

Loved staying here for doing some diving. Really nice place to meet people, perfect for solo travelling. Liked that they offer breakfast and dinner, in case you don't feel like going out.

Wonderful hostel a quick walk from the beach. The owner Lucy and all of the staff are extremely sweet and will help you with amazing recommendations of dive shops, restaurants etc… Thebrestaurant in property is the star of the show with wonderful different menus of the day, and a wonderful set menu

A real oasis in Taganga. The hostel is family owned and once you're there you can feel that. The staff knows you and you get treated like a family member as well. The Hostel has a pool, hammocks, a kitchen, a bar and a pool table. They have a restaurant and the food is really good and not pricey (you can even get the item of the day). Taganga is a great place for diving and the hostel can recommend you the best dive centers with great prices (if you do open water you even get to practice in the hostel's pool).

I stayed at this hostel for a little over two weeks. The staff was extremely accommodating and made my long stay enjoyable. Great atmosphere; pool, hammocks, bar, etc. My things were always looked after and I always felt very safe.

Truly a superb property. Good food. Everything works. The staff bend over backwards to take care of the guests. Friendly dogs. Good bar. If you’re interested, they have the best deal for SCUBA certification. Lucy looks after everyone.

I’ve chosen Divanga because on the website these hotel had everything I needed ! From the first contact before coming with Lucy who arranged me 2 fun dives with her professional partner reef shepherd ! The check-in was perfect and professional ! The restaurant is so excellent and the card is made for every one ( veggie vegan or not) ! It reminded me of french cooking ! The hotel is cleaned and well maintained. And the rooms are very cleaned to ! I had 2 wonderful dives with Reef shepherd with a discount because I had all my equipment ! The dive team was very professional and safe ! Atmosphere is wonderful and we feel like at home ! Lucy the owner is so nice and flexible thank you ! I recommand Divanga for sure !

The hostal in general has a nice vibe, the pool is cool. Rooms are small but ok. Food was good. It's very very loud during the nights, but probably fun for people who are looking for party I guess. But the organization and the stuff, I'm sorry but you need to improve. At our second day we had to wait one hour because the key of our room got lost in the reception and they didn't had a spare one to open the door. Then next day they had trouble to find my passport that I gave to the reception to have it safe. They first wanted to give me the passport of my friend, not even realizing it's not mine. When we wanted to do the check out the next day the passport of my friend was "lost" and it took them several phone calls and more then half hour to find it (some night guard took it to the owners house). When I asked the girl at the reception (I think the owners daughter) to have a coffee while waiting she looked mad at me and never gave me one. When the passport finally found its way back to the Hostal she smashed it on the table with a "here you go" - no apologize for the situation. We were really shocked by her rude additute since it's not our fault that they are not organized. If it's too much to take care of customers values, just don't offer that service please. We changed to another Hostal then..

We had an amazing stay here. It was an Oasis in Taganga and a great place to truly relax. The rooms were clean, bathroom was small but did the job. Of course there is no warm water. It is scorching hot in Taganga so a nice, cold shower from a proper shower head was very welcome. It was great that there was a Pool and a bar to really wind down. The other guests were also really laidback and chill and from everywhere around the world. Staff was really nice and helpful. Great memories.

👍👍 Ate there two nights in a row, the food was just delicious. The service is really nice and gives you very good recommendations. Don’t know why this place not crowded, it should be. You might want to enjoy one of the cocktails before or after dinner.

😠 Absolutely disgusting. Did not take more than two bites. I ordered the avocado stuffed seafood. Bits of random unidentified seafood came mixed in with random underripe avocado, like a giant mush. It was appalling. Much better restaurant options nearby.

👍👍 I really want to support Colombian owned businesses but I haven’t been able to find a good Colombian owned pizzeria. As others have said, this pizzeria is owned by an Italian immigrant, and it’s the second good pizza I’ve had in Colombia. The first was in Jardín… and it was also owned by an Italian....
