The owner has made this hostal a cozy place, the staff is very helpful, and the room are a lot more comfortable than they seem. The price is fair, and you are allowed to hang around the lobby or common areas even after checking out. Lovely people and good location, 2 blocks away from the beach.

Kinda run down. Biggest problem is that i discovered Bed Bugs on my mattress, thank god it was as soon as I got there. I've been told the owners are combating the problem but i haven't met them so buyer beware

This hostel is a great place to stay in Taganga! We were diving for the week and it was a homely place go us. The kitchen and social area is huge, with a big dining table, chairs and hammocks to chill on. The kitchen has everything you might need and even very cheap beers to buy! If you want drinking water, they offer very cheap communal filtered bottled water. The hostel is so clean. A lady comes in every day and cleans absolutely everything, and even makes your bed again! The communal fridge is huge and clean too. The 10 bed dorm has two bathrooms and air conditioning throughout the night, which is essential! On arrival, we were offered the choice of the 10 bed dorm or a private room, for no extra cost. But we chose the 10 bed with AC. The only thing is the bunk beds are wooden and very squeaky when you need to get up and down in the middle of the night. Ezequiel is a fabulous owner and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and helped us practise our Spanish If I come back to Taganga, i will be staying here!

This is by far the best hostel of the area of Santa Marta/Taganga!!! I saw some bad comments about this place before, but I discovered that the owners changed! It used to be very dirty and disorganized, so the previous owner left and a BEAUTIFUL couple are in charge now! They are absolutely the best! Two very lovely people that maintain this hostel suuper clean and with the best energy! They cook some delicious dishes to sell and the vibe is awesome! I was supposed to stay 2 weeks and ended up staying 2 months! The location and price are great, and its a very beautiful house. I definitely recommend! Excited to come back :))

Really lovely spot slightly up the hill from the beach. The owner, David, is a wealth of information about the area and with his staff provide one of the most comfortable experiences I've had in Colombia. Breakfast comes included and is very generous. Would stay here again if I'm ever in Taganga.

Great place to stay! Have everything you could ever want... Big kitchen, nice rooms with balcony's and a rooftop pool/bar where you can have a BBQ 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This is a cozy hostel, tastefully decorated and designed located centrally in the heart of Taganga. With a friendly staff that can arrange diving and give recommendations of the vicinity, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Additional + of this hostels are: AC in the dorms, fridge with drinks with good pricing, one of the cleanest and most well equipped kitchen in any hostel I've seen in Colombia, very good breakfast & last but not least: movie on the projector every night.

Great place for great value. Staff really helped us out not only in traveling but when my girlfriend got sick and needed medical assistants. They showed us how to take care of our issues

After a very warm welcome from the tenant, we have discovered a clean and nice hostel. If you're in tanganga, it's where you have to go! On top of that, there is a nice breakfast included. Don't miss it!

Villa Mary is so lovely. Another backpacker recommended this place to me and it was great! It’s really close to the town and beach so there is easy access to everything. The dorms and bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is nice. Plus there is a cool courtyard with hammocks to it has a nice space to relax, do yoga, hangout, etc. But most importantly the vibe there is just really great. When you arrive you can immediately notice there is good energy in that place and after staying I really noticed a familial vibe among all the staff and volunteers - everyone was so kind and welcoming. I really recommend everyone to stay here!

Hostel Villa Mary is an extraordinary homie hostel that I would recommend to stay at if you are looking for a comfy environment and meet great people! The hostel is beautiful with many colorful murals, plants, different spots to hang out at (living room, hammocks, rocking chairs...), a big functional kitchen - in a word it feels like home! It's always clean, it has simple but functioning facilities. The hosts, Ezequiel and Estefi, will make you feel warmly welcome and be helpful at all times. Muchas gracias otra vez a ustedes 🙏😊

Hostel Villa Mary is a very well run hostel, with very friendly owners, Estefania and Ezekiel. It is close to the beach, and has a very welcoming vibe. They also run a pizzeria, which offers delicious pizza. If you come to Taganga I would recommend a stay at Hostel Villa Mary
