The pools and hotel grounds are lovely. Would have got 5 stars but food was pricey and mediocre. Also, unexpectedly we were charged for the dish soap and sponge - we cleaned our dishes trying to help the cleaning staff and were appalled to be nickel and dimed for this as well as for the water jug provided in the room. For the price paid for this resort it should at least include this as well as things like yoga classes - yoga is well advertised but we quickly found out that is also an additional charge. It would be better to increase the price of the resort than tack on all these additional fees.

Unless you take the time to ask questions or read everything in detail you will be very confused on why there are so many mixed reviews. First of all, I noticed that when my friend tried to book online through cheaptickets or orbitz they only gave options for breakfast included, when they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and you get to select which meals you want per day and that will affect price. Second, they explained that the meals would only apply to their main restaurant, not the other restaruants they have there which have "better" food. I say that with quotations because no dish impressed us and we tried their ceviche, steak with chimichurri, etc. Being American, the prices weren't bad, but compared to other meals in Colombia they are expensive and very subpar. The new york steak was chewy, the ceviche was actually more like a shrimp cocktail (had ketchup), the nachos were chips from a bag, etc etc. Beach closes at 7, pools close at 8pm. Which seems kind of early. Didn't seem like there was much being offered or just not as lively as resorts in other towns we have visited. So if you want quiet this is probably your place. We did enjoy the spa as far as massages go. Probably our There was a person monitoring workouts at the gym and constantly giving advice even if not asked for it. Which became annoying after some time. I think they have a lot to work on, can't say it was a horrible experience, but also can't say anything stood out to make me think I would return or recommend it.

Worst stay i had in my entire life anywhere in the world. This place really hates foreigners. The staff is rude and mean. First of all they charged me a 300 000 tax once my colombian wife arrived later in the day (2 night stay ). Staff at the pool wouldnt let us use the available beach bed while locals where using all the others ones cause they said it might be raining soon ( clear sky without a single cloud ) Pool was closed !!! Then... They told us it was karaoke night at the resort bar and then we got REFUSED entry cause they said " there is too many people ". It wasnt even full and some people were living as we arrived and they still didnt let us in. Couldnt use spa either or get a massage cause their spa service was fully booked for the 3 days we were there. For an hotel that expensive they should be totally ashamed of the service this hotel has given me. DISGUSTING

Not up to European standards at all. The staff is ruining the experience with bad service and ridiculous rules which seem to crazy to be true. Maybe wait 10 years before they learned about international visitors

Resort amenities were excellent. Staff was friendly but not quite perfect Kid friendly environment They don’t require mask or face coverings in most areas but claimed some areas areas are still at risk like buffet rooms or Gym, makes no sense specially when it’s proven mask don’t work at all. They do have room service but they don’t clean your kitchen. Only beds and baths. Still allowed locals selling on the beach so not quite a private beach. Bowling and play areas are very good. Guest activities are nice

One word to describe the experience in this place…PERFECTION. From sales to catering, everything they do is performed correctly, as they think of every little detail of a good customer service experience. The hotel has everything you may need (they have a small market, a clothing store, restaurants, a bar, etc), but if in some way that seems not be enough for you, there’s a supermarket nearby (five minutes walking or less) which also happens to have a drug store and a restaurant. However, the hotel has two very good restaurants, so I suggest you may get an all-included-reservation. All the servers at both restaurants are very nice, but Rubiela was by far my favorite one (she has the sweetness and kindness that makes you feel like home). If you paid only for the rooms, you can charge the food at your room or pay in cash if you’d like. You can also get the food to your room by paying $2 extra. In regards to the front desk, they’re extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend Sheila and Oscar, but they’re all very professional. If you need to leave the hotel cause you wanna visit places far away, they’ll get you a taxi and give you some insight about how much you should pay (if you’d like to get gifts and souvenirs, you can buy them at the hotel or ask the people in the desk to get you a taxi to “El Rodadero” (I recommend to rather buy in the hotel or at the store “The Market Colombia” in the airport). On the other hand, I recommend you may ask about the hotel additional services and activities. They have a schedule that includes cardio/Zumba classes and even parties at the pool, bowling, and other things you may find fun to do. (Some activities like water motorcycles are not offered by the hotel, and you can make a deal with the people who offer those services at the beach…just keep in mind that it’s better the pay afterwards and the to pay exact amount in cash). I got sick during my visit which led me to meet the medical personnel, the nurse is amazing and they have a very good space to treat you. I also had work while I was there, and they have a room where you have a food wireless connection and in which you may feel comfortable to work (it’s a sort of coworking office). For sales I recommend you contact Ingridt or Monica, they are the best. Just to close, the one thing I loved the most about this hotel is that they treat everyone the same, foreigners, nationals, associates, one time visitors, just the same. Of course they have preferential rates, but there’s no preferential treatment at all, everyone is a five starts customer and receives a five stars service.

Great hotel with lovely staff. Big pool, bar, restaurant, sports bar, Sushi restaurant, mini supermarket and the beach right outside. Booked a day at the aquarium with ease which included a bus and boat ride

We took a day pass and it was an excellent choice . We were made to feel very welcome from check in , towel collection and by the excellent staff all over . The jacuzzi area is a good choice for a drink , all facilities well kelp. Azdrubal looked after us all day and was a credit to the hotel - Thank you very much.

Not recommended; lousy service from the security team. Castillo was the worst; I felt a level of discrimination. Please be careful with the security that thinks they own the place, the food is delicious, but the constant arguments with the security crew made it a bad stay.

We with some relatives stayed here for a week (from Nov 13 to Nov 20). This is not the first time I've been in this wonderful Resort and the service from everyone was amazing as always. The cleaning service organized and cleaned the room everyday and the towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner were changed everyday as well. The access to the pool is allowed from 9:30 to 20:00, and the jacuzzis until 21:00. There's buffet lunches on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 12:30 to 15:30.

I think the rooms, the pools and the people were super friendly. But I did think the service was slow and some of the food could have been better. My British dad come to stay with us and he wasn’t too pleased with the food or service. He was expecting more from the food and the service. And as a Colombian myself I feel embarrassed and ashamed :( however, the facilities are very well kept, super clean, excellence location and the atmosphere was great. To improve the menu I would suggest adding more International food like Mexican, say have nachos or churros in the menu.

In the hotel there is a good restaurant, it has a large pool, it also has a spa although I never used it, there is a nice bar, and one of the best things, it is close to the beach, in fact many rooms have a sea view.

Besides not being provided with the basics ( hot water, lighting among others ) Room 632 had roaches, stay away from chuana and book with Marriott playa dormida

Outstanding customer service, delicious food, waiters and front desk are ready to help you in whatever you need. One of the best experiences I ever had on a beach hotel.

Check-in and check-out is still painful. Web check-in is useless. Lack of maintenance in some areas. Rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly, especially the waitresses. They deserve high tips. Food is ok, nothing special. Prices are ok. I recommend skipping the breakfast buffet and ordering the à la carte breakfast (continental or American): enough, same quality and significantly cheaper.

Great place to stay if you are looking to relax or have a great time with your family. It has several pools, tennis courts countless recreational activities as well as bowling with arcades, and even a grocery store inside the hotel. Great food, the only thing to take into account is that is a Beach resort, therefore it's price are higher in comparison to other hotels in the Area. Furthermore if that is not a problem prepare to enjoy and treated like a member of royal highness.

Seriously, I have never felt so good in a hotel. Personal was so nice and excellent on their job! The food delicious, everything clean, HVAC worked perfectly, hot water perfect, the pool perfect. I Highly recommend Zuana!

The room we had assigned was very noisy. My family and I couldn't sleep the first night, they were kind enough to change us for the second night but it took a little too much nagging... great stuff any way, a little outdated in some parts and access is difficult in general definitely not disabled friendly...

Day Pass. Excellent service with some short comings with the food which was not for my pallet. You feel secure here with the site security. A well placed hotel with excellent service and some 5* qualities around a solid 4* service. Well worth a visit and longer stay.

We had a fabulous time on our vacation. The location was perfect, the beach is great. The staff was very friendly. It was the perfect beach getaway. The rooms were a little dated but they were impeccably clean. I have to give a shout out to Shirley from the travel excursions. She took such great care of us and did the upmost to make us comfortable during our outings.
