    The worst experience (by far) of my adult life. 1) everything is old AND dirty: the main pool is full of hait, some weird stuff floats from the very first hours in the morning until late in the afternoon. Everything is antiquated, out of date and rocked down. 2) service is horrorful: we ordered in the restaurant by the pool two bottles of water and one scoop of ice cream: it took 25 minutes until the demotivated lady came with them. 3) restaurants: we have tried them all: from the one on the third floor of the "lake tower" until the one which is further down the beach (beach is dirty): the Luruaco one. Food is pretty much unedible. All deep fried, dry, no taste, no nothing. 4) we came with a toddler. They have 2 kids clubs (both are a joke) one of which is located in the lake tower. Well, today is saturday, and the hotel is totally crowded but the kids club is just closed. why? the official answer is that there are not too many children in the hotel, so because of low demand. And this is just a lie. 5) we all know that hotels try to help the planet (AKA save money) through suggesting guests to reuse towels. Well, I have been all around the world and this is always optional. Here you need to keep your beach towels for 48 hours. They do not care about how dirty or wet they are. Fine, let us say I can live with that but find it horrible. 6) we booked a "see view room" and got a "side sea view room". Well, it seems to be that the management either doesn't know the different or doesn't care about it. 7) The most modern pool they have os broken and unrepaired (see the photos, the floor is broken). The sun chairs are destroyed and only one 5th of them have mattresses, which are dirty. So back to the towels: you use the towels to lie on them when at the beach or pool but the beds are so disgusting, you are pretty much carrying dirt with you from the first second you use them. 8) Staff is extremely unfriendly, slow and terribly trained. there is no accountability for anything. All together we are not just disappointed but pretty much desperate. I tried yesterday and today to communicate with the customer service but nobody picks up. Unfortunately we paid in advance and are trapped here. So do yourself a favor and don't book this hotel. You will most likely regret it. (if you want at least a comfortable clean stay). This is just our second day... I will keep updating the review.

    Wonderful place and NICE people. You can find everything there for different ages and water activities. I loved the outside spinning, food (both in the main pool) and hot top in Irotama Reservado.

    We are here at the moment and the reception is exceptionally bad. When I wanted to make a reservation (in Spanish) they just pointed me to the phone and said do it yourself for a restaurant in the hotel. No one picked up and we have been trying for four hours. Many of the restaurants are closed. Not sure if there is any guest service here even if you speak Spanish.

    Have been to Irotama on multiple occasions. On most recent, they undercharged us, refused to honour the initial reservation we had made, and when we requested return of the deposit paid (50% of total) were told if would take 30 working days. Completely unacceptable. Lucky enough to have traveled extensively in South America, and by some distance this is the most appalling treatment and unprofessional conduct I've ever experienced. I would seriously advise considering alternative options for your holiday in Colombia, as plenty certainly exist in this wonderful country.

    What a circus. Had a bad feeling even before arriving since I had been trying to get in contact with them for weeks but with no reply. Only time they replied was the day before arrival just to tell me what I was interested in needed to be reserved two days in advance... Then we arrive by taxi and I show the guard by the gate my reservation and he directs us to the main entrance. Apparently the wrong entrance so we have to sit around waiting for 45 mins for transport to the right reception. Then I asked in the reception for help to book one of the restaurants and they just tell me to do it myself so I call the number. They told me they would have a table ready at 19:30. Its on the other side of the resort so had to wait to transport again only to arrive and them telling us that they don’t have a table. The service at this place is just a joke and incredibly impolite. We have wasted so much time just waiting around for them to get their things into place. I definitely had higher expectations considering the price

    Irotama is a gem in the caribbean. The location is incredible, surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation. The beach is calm, warm and spacious. The cabins are comfortable and charming. Everyone is very service focused and go above and beyond to provide a good experience. Some hiccups? Sure, but the staff makes sure to remediate them quickly. We will be back!

    My family and I had the best time at Irotama! The hotel is gorgeous, spacious, clean and very well taken care of. The gardens are beautiful. It’s like staying in the midst of a jungle but at the same time in comfortable facilities. We stayed in the Del Mar building and our suites were amazing! The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and professional. The food was excellent and there was lots of variety in the 5+ restaurants on the resort. The beach was tranquil and not crowded. Of course there are beach vendors as the city lives off tourism, but they were very respectful and kind. We will recommend Irotama to all our friends and family and definitely hope to come back some day.

    Great experience. Loved the grounds and our bungalow. The food at Cocos was great but Chiaro de Luna not so much. We were given a room with two beds and the bellman said that's all they had. We found out later that this was not true. The beach was great under the bohio but the pool desperately needs more shade. The whole place had a charming retro feel and was well maintained.

    Excellent facilities, clean and attentive staff. Easily accessible by bus or airport. Great security. Only negative is the quality of the food served. Often cold or not good quality. Better head to the centro commercial 5 minutes walk away that has all you need.

    Unfortunately I was sick the whole time I was there so I didn't get to see much. I was very surprised that I wasn't charged anything when I needed to see the doctor and nurse. The doctor gave me free medication and a good supply of coconut water with minerals for my dehydration. The few times I was able to eat I found the food very disappointing.

    This place has everything, you don’t need to move from the hotel. All restaurants are delicious and the beach and pools were clean. I would highlight the service, it was great and everyone was very kind and friendly.

    Beautiful room, with lots of space and amenities included. Staff were extremely helpful, even rushed through our room so we could check in early after a long flight. The only issue was the food - a significant let down, often wet and overly fatty meat or soup just full of onion.

    Amazing Resort. Totally worth it. Food is tasty, you have different options and restaurants. The staff is highly professional, educated and respectful, they are always welcoming you with a smile. The beach area is perfect, there are many chairs and kiosks available. Very thankful for this amazing vacations!

    Irotama lago was a nice hotel. It was clean and comfortable. However, from the moment I walked in, I began to have problems. The service during my stay was not very good. When I first arrived at the hotel, the person that attended me at the desk was not nice at all. Check in took approximately 30 minutes which is the longest check in I’ve ever had at a hotel. When I finally finished with the check in documentation and paperwork, I was then told that check in time is officially at 4:00pm and I would have to wait around for 2 hours. I waited in the lobby which had no fans or air conditioning and it was extremely hot. There was not even a breeze. I understand that I was early to check in, but I could have been told before starting the process that it was too early, instead of being told after 30 minutes in such high temperatures. One person I would like to shoutout is Cristian, he welcomes guest and helps with luggage. Cristian was an extremely nice employee and probably the only person that was kind and helpful. I ended up staying only one night and when I asked to have a late check out because I had a late flight out( I would have to pay 150.000 to leave at 5pm instead of 12pm), I was told the room was needed so I had to go. Even though I was willing to pay for early check in or late check out, the hotel was not flexible at all and the staff was just plain right rude. Even if the hotel was that busy and it was not possible, they could at least learn how to answer clients properly. At the hotel you have to wear wristbands and carry around cards that allow you to get towels. The hotel food was decent. On a positive note, this hotel has many restaurants, there’s easy access to the beach, the view is nice, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel overall was decent. For the amount of money I paid and the poor service, I’m not sure I would come back.

    A perfect place. However, the service could be better. They ask for face cover while ordering food, a bit difficult. When you ask for something you have to wait for a long time. Although this journey was great to me, mainly because of the perfect natural environment.

    I give the place 2starts only, I consider a good place to visit with family, the hotel was clean and service was good at arrival while we got the bracelets for the all inclusive plan, after checkout we had to stay as we got flights late at night and then the service changed absolutely for bad, they did not even offer anything extra at lunch. We stated we understood we had to pay separately but they just kept saying was not included, so all the good service ended in a kind of bad experience as even in the bar located on the main lobby we again were told they wont serve us anything because the plan was over, so that kind of downgraded the whole experience at this place

    It's a.very convenient place if you want to chill by the beach. I stayed at the bungalows and they are fresh and comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly but guest would have to pay an extra fee which is quite expensive considering that the pet gets nothing but the allowance of being with you and there are also restrictions for them at some restaurants and at the hotel buildings. The food is ok and the service is very good. The staff are friendly and diligent.

    This is the worst resort I have ever visited. I made a reservation via cheap tickets.com and when I reached Irotama resorts they assigned a suite in Irotama Sol. Irotama Sol is an isolated building without any lights in the hallways during the night. These are Apts owned by people. In the middle of the night there was a flood of water that came down from the ceiling and the room was flooded. No one from reception ever came to accommodate us although we called reception and told them of the occurrence. There were more suites being flooded and nobody came out because there is nobody there. It was like a scary movie. When security came he made it seem as if this is totally normal. We had to find a way to get to the lobby and finally when we reached the lobby, the only person there, didn’t even excuse himself. We insisted in another room and finally when they realized that we had to put the suite cases on top of the bed because the flood was covering our feet, and the furniture was soaked, they gave us a room in another floor. I was very scared because I do not feel protection there. When we asked why we’re out in this building, they said that when people make reservation they are accommodated wherever they decide. The client does not decide.. therefore we were accommodated in an isolated building with no customer service. It will take me a long time to get over this trauma.

    Stayed at Irotama del Sol tower. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The resort is beautiful and well kept. We required gluten free meals, staff was always helpful. The only downside was a lack of awareness of what gluten is and having to explain everytime.

    The hotel is very nice and the service is incredible. We stayed at the bohios in front of the sea. Personally I believe it is the best location as you have the sea at 5 meters distance. Also, each room had a small balcony with a table that was great to relax and see the sea. The only thing is that the prices of the food in the hotel are a little high.

    Clean resort, good security. Food was good. Pool was nice with easy access to the beach, as well. Not a lot of English speaking staff so if you are traveling without a bilingual friend be prepared to break out your translator.
