The beach is very beautiful, you can spend a pleasant day. The bad thing is the way the sellers want to mess you up with the prices. Specifically, the awnings with chairs, it is better to ask beforehand and ask the person because a man gave me a price and then the person in charge of the awnings arrived and wanted to charge me more. let lose. The other is a supposed tour that costs 20 thousand pesos and they offer to take you to various places and pass near them, take photos, etc. But the reality is that it is a trip around the bay by boat, what is good is the wash that you get because of how slow the boat goes. It's not worth spending there.

A very nice beach although very full of tourists, it is not so clean, the Samarians themselves prefer not to get involved, I lived for two years in Santa Marta and I preferred to go to Cabo Tortoise a thousand times, in addition to the fact that you also see many robberies there in the bay from the tourists for leaving cell phones and suitcases, it is full of vendors and it is a bit annoying because they arrive in front of your tent and behind you so you have to be careful.

Not a place to swim for me, but you’ll see plenty of small children having the time of their lives. It’s a great place to come and relax and sit and enjoy the sunset, buy a beer from a local vendor, watch all the photo shoots, or stay to yourself and dance with your headphones on like I do.

Don't visit Santa Marta for the beaches. None of them, neither those promoted on tours like Taganga, Playa Blanca, Playa Grande, those of Bello Horizonte, Rodadero, they are all in bad conditions of water, surroundings, installations.
