Overall my stay was fine: very good breakfast, AC, curtains and a good location. However the beds are quite old so you’ll sleep in a mold. Also don’t do your laundry here! It costs 25k which I guess is standard for a hostel. But they stuff your clean laundry back into the bag without folding your clothes so by the time you take it out it looks like it’s dirty. Go down the road and do your laundry there for less money and proper service.

Horrible experience there are no personal lighting for the bed so we kept the light in the room till around 23:00 the next day when we wanted to book again they said we can’t stay because one girl said to them we made the night hard for her. (All the others in the room also needed the light)

Excelent hostel! It is very clean and the amenities are extremely well done. The bunkbeds have curtains and are made out of concrete, the kitchen is well equipped, you get a towel free of charge, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. In my opinion the best value hostel in Santa Marta. It is pleasant that it is not directly in the center, as the center is very noisy and full. Still there is a supermarket just a block away and the center in walking distance. The only thing I would change is to put something like a chair, a shelf etc. in front of the showers so you can put your towel and clothes somewhere.

Probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, super spacious, very very clean, it had a kitchen, big bathroom, spacious table where you could eat dinner with everyone. Also, the rooms were great - privacy curtains, soft sheets and pillow, towel. I was really happy with my stay here. Aircon gets turned on in the room during the evenings. Great location, walking distance to Santa Marta Marina, restaurants, shops etc.. Finally, the staff were really lovely, they organised a taxi to come pick us up early in the morning so they were always happy to help! Only thing is that it gets really hot in the common areas and the bathroom. But that’s it.

Well located hostel with clean rooms, beds and bathroom. Cooperating with Teyuna agency - your best option for the Ciudad Perdida trek btw! The front office is not air-conditioned which must be killing for the staff - its basically an open-sky patio. The lady up front seemed a bit moody and made us always feel like we asked a lot, but in the end things went alright.

Greatest hostel I have ever visited. Super clean, great location and people! The price is unbeatable in comparison for such a high quality hostel. Don’t stay somewhere else if you are in Santa Marta- it will be a waste!

Nice new hostel, very clean, large common areas, best wifi in town, only 10 minutes walk from the center, AC in the dorms at night, comfy beds with curtains, big lockers, and very kind and helpful staff, thanks again!

The whole experience is great if your looking for a hostel with relaxed and good vibes. All of the staff members are amazing. The front desk helps with every question. The cleaning staff are super friendly. The owners are engaging and help with anything you might need. I highly recommend this hostel. The beds are comfortable and private. The kitchen is fully stocked with clean pots and dishes.

Bathrooms are filthy, other guests are inconsiderate starting a 6:30 in te morning because commen room is next to dorms and very hollow, would not reccomend if you want a night of sleep, cars with loud music passing the hostel until 2:00am

It was great, we were in a private room double bed and share bathroom, it was a clean bedroom , the stuff kind the only complaint that we have is that had a lot of noise from the street. It's very close to "parque de los novios" you can tale a bus to cartagena, barranquilla and others crossing the street (Mirasol). Nice place, it's not expensive.

The best hostel in Santa Marta Has A/C in every room, has well equipped kitchen, has awesome breakfast, the shower is not so cold like in other hostels here in North Colombia and has a tour agency

I stayed for a night only. The staff was very informative. I like the air-con concept in the dorm. The dorm was a bit small. The Location isn't very special but near the center and beach. Breakfast was great. The Marsol bus operator is next door, if you're coming from ither towns, very practical.

Distrito is an amazing hostel, maybe the best I've ever gone. The staff is amazing and they're always looking for the best recommendations for their guests. The only thing is that the atmosphere is not so great to meet other travelers.

Needless to say as other reviews have done that already. This hostel is one of the most accommodating places I've ever stayed. The location was spot on. The layout is perfect from the patio to the dining quarters, to the kitchen and the bathrooms as well as the air coned dorms. All cleaned daily. It's modern and super friendly. The amazing staff are from the area and were so helpful in recommendations of things to do. Highly recommended if your visiting Santa marta. Thanks guys.

Bigger than it looks. It's in a good and easy accessible location close to many. There are plenty of communal spaces to socialize and hang out. The staff are really welcoming and helpful. Plenty of services and information provided. The kitchen has plenty. The bathrooms are clean. The beds are comfortable.

Really impressed by this place, we thought it would just be a cheap hostel for the night but it was really nice room with good social vibes and a number of advice on activities. Location is a little out of main Santa Marta but less than 5 minute walk just stay on main road

Nice hostel on the bus route from the airport. Top-notch fixtures. Air-conditioned dorms. No pool. Not much of a hostel vibe, but that's down to guests. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Impeccably clean. Quiet area, short walk to noise, restaurants and groceries. Needs shade in common check-in area, (which must be brutal for desk staff during the day).
