This place is very overpriced compared to the rest of Santa Marta and the food doesn't make up for it..it's average and the patacon was borderline burnt. You can have better and more affordable food, drinks and atmosphere at the marina! However, the biggest issues are due to the service staff. The serving staff were borderline pestering us, they were constantly asking if we were ready/ have questions even when we asked for more time. The worst part is that the music is obnoxiously loud. It's as loud as a nightclub even at 8pm meaning that you cannot even talk to your companion while eating dinner and instead you have no choice but to watch the live band as though it's a forced concert. We asked the staff to turn the volume down since we were the only guests in there at the time and the manager ignored us. Then when we declined to pay the service fee as a result he came to argue with us about it...It's a horrible place and ruined a lovely evening. It really felt as though the staff were having a big party among themselves and we (the ONLY guests) were getting in their way. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Bogotá’s outstanding Steak Restaurant is poorly represented in Santa Marta. The setting stands for the original diner and the food is well presented but unfortunately the establishment is poorly run. Service was very slow and we felt extreme heat (despite the a/c), when complained we received an unprofessional response from the management.

We shared on a sunday lunchtime with lot of local people who celebrated here the birthday of a friend or a familymember. It was a lot of fun with music, good food and a friendly service. But it is not cheap for local people.

The first time the food was ok. The prices here are very high, the food should be excellent. The second time we had to wait too long and the food was terrible. In the end, we asked for two double expressos, they came in large cups, so they were cold. We paid 16 USD for those two expressos. They hire very young people because they are chips, but they have no experience in dealing with customers properly.

This was not a good experience. The service was terrible. We were here with a party. Our mixed drinks never came so we cancelled them. The beer they tried to serve us was warm. The food took very long and when my steak came it was so tough that I sent it back and did not bother re ordering. They put us in this corner that had us all uncomfortably hot. Then when we wanted to dance by the area that was breezy we were told we couldn't interfere with the party that had that room rented. I would not recommend.

This place would have got 4 out of 5 had they have told us the wine they suggested was almost three times more expensive than the one we originally asked for. The creole potatoes are not creole. Barely salted and that’s it. Great ambience good music and great food. Just the above was an issue really.

Good food especially filet steaks. great staff. A must try for tourists. Not just dinner but usually a show too.

I ordered my food 3 times and never came. Very hard to find a waitress or person to serve any request. Very expensive.

The worst experience ever, my husband and I booked them for our pre-wedding and they sold the same room for another event the same day at the same time, and ended up giving us an extremely small room without ventilation and placed tables in the middle of the hallway and under the stairs to fit some of our guests. It was very unprofessional. On top of that they had no control and strangers were eating the food and drinking the cocktails that we had preselected for our event. The managers didn’t offer any options and didn’t even apologize. Our guest ordered food and it took forever to be ready, in fact some people left without eating and there yet they were charged. It was a total embarassement. It was an absolutely terrible experience

Terrible experience, I would give it a zero if possible. Terrible service & mediocre food. Management does not acknowledge issues or complaints. Never going back again, and will not recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, this is my second negative experience with the Andres Carne de Res (ACR) Franchise and will be the last time I visit. I cannot hide the fact that had a great time at ACR in Chia (outside of Bogota location). Which was one of the main reasons we chose to visit the Medellin and Santa Marta locations. Unfortunately, neither of the aforementioned locations lived up to the expectations set by Chia’s ACR. On February 2023 we went to ACR in Santa Marta as part of a pre-wedding group. As per the legal contract set between ACR and the groom and bride, ACR was supposed to offer our group the bigger section near the stage area. In addition to this, they had offered drinks and some appetizers as part of the deal. Furthermore, ACR had indicated that they would allocate an area to place a Photo Booth for the guests. Regrettably, upon our arrival to ACR the bride and groom learned that the space that had been agreed on was provided to a larger group that booked last minute. Due to this, the Photo Booth was moved to the second floor near the bathroom area and their party was moved to a smaller room near a side bar. Note that our group was made up of roughly 50 people… and we were placed in a room that clearly did not have the space to comfortably cater to us. Regarding the food… half of the appetizers promised made it to the guests tables. In addition to this, the staff did not appear prepared to deal with the restaurant at full Capacity as they ran out of cups to serve drinks in and they took orders that never arrived and/or the food that did arrive was very cold and late. Lastly, the music was extremely loud which made it almost impossible to even place an order. It is unfortunate to write this review as I had previously recommended ACR due to its unique environment. Unfortunately due to my experiences in Medellin and Santa Marta, in addition to comments I have heard from friends that have visited the locations, I will no longer be visiting or recommending this franchise. If you plan on going to Santa Marta please do your research and visit other local places that provide better service, food, environment and most important of all… visit a restaurant that cares and follows through with their commitments.

I don't recommend this place at all. The worst experience we had, first of all, very small space, we could not walk or dance, we were assigned a table at the entrance of the facility, very bad service, the waiters passing by the table ignored us, after waiting a long time, two different waiters at different times took our order but never brought the food. They finally brought the appetizers, but after they arrived they removed them because they were wrong and were for another table. The space was so small that it was very hot, my 15-year-old daughter started a horrible headache that we had to leave without eating because the food never arrived. I will never return to this place and will never recommend it.

Great food BUT the prices are really high for Santa Marta customers. Also, there's no need to have the music so LOUD when the restaurant is only with 30% capacity. You can't even talk to the waiter to give the order 👎👎👎 Also some of the waiters forget about you or your order.

The information on this page said "open" but when I came, throughthe pouring rain, it was closed. How much of an effort is it to properly update the hours??

Only for weekends, we went to celebrate a birthday the middle of the week expecting it was going to be like the other ones in Bogotá and we were wrong, this is just a regular empty restaurant during the week, I had to say like 3 times we were celebrating a birthday before they offered us something. I felt like they wanted us to leave because we were the only table since 8:30pm Not sure why I didn’t check the reviews before. People doesn’t like the place and the comment from the restaurant is like “thanks a lot for coming, we are glad you had a great experience”. This says all.

We went 5 times over 3 days - nuff said. El mimo was probably my favorite person I encountered in all of Santa Marta.
