I live nearby and have been to Variable many times because I absolutely love their food! Every time I taste the love and care in their food with every bite. Variable is well thought through vegan food with impeccable execution and goes above and beyond replacing meat-based dishes with a plant-based substitute. They think about how every component goes together and highlight the vegetables in their dishes. You really can’t go wrong with any choice here, but here are my recommendations: The Northern Lights Pasta - my personal favorite, a complex and satisfying mix of textures and flavors, elevated comfort food Organic strawberry lemonade - just the right amount of sweetness and tart, with a satisfying mint after taste My Son’s Pho - sweet and slightly soy sauced tofu, flavorful broth very reminiscent of pho TBS (tomato basil soup) - this is thicker and more textured than tomato soups I’ve had in the past, perfectly paired with bites of buttered toast with herbs West coast shrimp - an extremely crunchy, sweet (due to the coconut) and shrimp-like starter, if you like the taste of coconut but not the texture, this is your go to

My first vegan experience in California was amazing. The signage outside the building wasn't fancy but I was Hungary and decided to give it a try. It blew my mind. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection and the sandwich kept me full for hours. The owner said she has only been open for 6 months. And the story behind the name will leave your heart melting. Vegan or not give this option a try

Delicious vegan cafe that has a lot of healthy options. There’s a free small parking lot but it’s a matter of luck as to whether you’ll get a spot. There’s metered street parking as well. Came here with a friend for dinner on a Tuesday evening and there were a couple of tables occupied, but the ambiance was still overall quite relaxed. The waiter was super friendly and checked in on us frequently. We split our food and got the drunk cauliflower to start. The sauce was delicious and the batter was well done. The pho surprised me by how rich the broth tasted, and the “shrimp” po’boy was quite large. It came with a side of fries which was delicious. We ended the meal with carrot cake, which was one of the best carrot cakes I’ve had (for both vegan and non-vegan cakes) - the frosting was thick and the cake was moist. Overall, highly recommend this spot for a healthy spot to catch up with a friend - for both vegans and non-vegans.

Lucky to find this spot on my first day in LA! Delicious Vegan food, amazing owners, creative menu, great music, nice coffee and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.

I've dined in and ordered takeout and I've never been disappointed. Coconut shrimp are delicious and I found it strange that I like them as much as I do because I hated coconut shrimp before I was vegan lol. They have a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Poboy was delicious, the burger was amazing and the chili never made it to the picture. Can't remember what the cauliflower was but, I remember it was delicious. I think everything is made to order except the chili. The pricing is really great compared to many other vegan restaurants. Affordable and delicious.

I had a lovely experience. I wasn’t entirely impressed. It was great for it being vegan and if you watch what you eat. The pasta was OK not much flavor. The chai tea latte was delicious and it was made by loose leaf. The carrot cake was nice but the frosting was super thick and too zesty of lemon for me. The service was great. Probably would give it another try and try something else.

Food is so delicious, we had Americanos, drunk cauliflower, pho and the N Seoul dish. Can’t wait to go back and try other things! Staff was super friendly too :)

We got take out and the food was incredible! I love the northern lights pasta. The pasta itself has a mild flavor but it's super creamy and with the chicken, just heavenly. The salad dressing was also bomb. It tasted like the best vegan honey mustard I've ever had (assuming that's what it is lol)

Nice vegan meals for a really good price range. Ordered the two chef recommendations, pho and cauliflower. Both were really good.

The flavor of their plates is so darn good. I’m not vegan but didn’t miss anything and was so full after. We had the firecracker wings, coconut shrimp for apps and I had the Bahn Mi sandwich. Love love loved it. Our server was nothing but sweet and thoughtful. Great experience. Thank you.

Amazing all vegan restaurant in LA! I loved this place and highly recommend anyone looking for plant based options to go there! The service was so great and the food was incredible. They offer a variety of meals that were delicious! I had the vegan shrimp Po boy sandwich which tasted amazing and came with fries! They offer indoor and outdoor seating in a little shopping area. The portions were pretty big and the prices were fair!

Decided to try this place out on a whim while a friend was visiting. Browsed through some vegan restaurants in the area and we went with this. GREAT decision! The food was so delicious, the customer service was top notch, and the ambiance was just so welcoming and beautiful. I tried the you and me banh mi plus truffle fries, 10/10 and 5 stars looooved it would come back for this! My friend got the St. Louis po boy and it was also so yummy fresh and comforting. Great prices for the generous portions. We shared our sandwiches and I thoroughly enjoyed trying both. Thank you for a great experience! Found a new go-to spot.

WONDERFUL SERVICE + FOOD? Look no more my friends. I am so glad to have tried this place. One of my favorite new vegan places I’m coming back to. I’m on a more liquid diet and decided on their soup + mongo salad. I ordered through Grubhub for pick up but thought I’d change my mind and sit there. Called and someone picked up that was so sweet he said he would plate my meal no problem. First of all I thought it was MANGO salad and it wasn’t lol. I questioned if I got the right salad and he corrected me and told me it’s MONGO not MANGO. Anyway to offer he ended up giving me Apple slices to help me with my sweet taste buds 🥹 thank you. I love people that go beyond and all the things. Good seating, has a small parking lot as well. Shared with other places but I got lucky on a Friday night! Until soon ☺️💜✨

This is an amazing restaurant that happens to be Vegan ..Super tasting,ample servings of great food with excellent service. Fair prices are welcome in today's high prices for nothing environment.. Have no fear of taking your meat eating friends here as they will thank you!! We have been back for three visits and each time we were never disappointed...Just go!!

Having to find this place by accident as usual. Looking for great food! So delicious! If you're ever looking to try a hamburger, that's not what you think it is. This is the hamburger place to try but they're more than that. The Caesar salad was unbelievable. Young man who served me was very nice. This is one of those small places. Great establishment. The chef is on top of the job serving vegan food. Even you meat eaters would love it. Stop and don't forget to tip your server and they do carry out. Parking lot is limited but it's still parking this time. I have photos 😁

Excellent quality food, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, great service and the staff are super kind and nice. The pho is incredible, the fried shrimp is great in every dish, and the N Seoul bowl has amazing kimchi and sauce on the spicy pork. Crispy cauliflower is 🤯

I recommend dining in here, the presentation of the drinks and food is so pretty and cute 🩷 the pho does not disappoint and is worth the price for the serving size. the burger is also impressive. my matcha was a little powdery and my noodles a little clumped but overall delicious experience. Earl Grey rose iced tea is also my favorite as a rose lover, is perfect flavor and sweetness!! great service too.

We ordered a variety of things so we could get a better perspective on this establishment. Everything was so delicious! Beautifully plated with generous servings. Not shown but was equally delicious was the Guacamole and Chips, Roasted Brussels with Apple, Drunken Cauliflower,Sweet Potato Fries, Truffle Fries and the Carrot Cake. The Crafted Ginger Lemonade and Iced Green Teas were refreshing also!! I'm glad we found this place and we will be back!!! P.S. The prices are great !!

I'm not a vegan but was curious about this fine establishment after reading the reviews. My hotel was a short walk away so I ordered takeout. I got the drunken cauliflower, west coast shrimp, carrot cake and a whole organic coconut. The cauliflower was divine and beautifully boxed. I are everything, including the garnishments. Yummy 😋 I thought the take on coconut shrimp was interesting. It was good but still, the cauliflower set the bar high! It's a matter of personal preference. The carrot cake flavors were amazing but it was dry. It still ate it though, It was good with my morning coffee. The coconut was so refreshing, I haven't drank out of one since I was in Puerto Rico. It was much needed after walking for miles and feeling dehydrated. The staff is super friendly too. I'll definitely come back for that drunken cauliflower!

The Raw Mongo salad includes feta cheese from Follow Your Heart, and my salad contained only a few feta crumbles. I could make this same salad at home. Next time, I’ll go for the Korean items such as house-made Kimchee. ♻️Juices & smoothies are normally served in plastic cups. Kindly the server found a glass beaker for my Açaí smoothie, but the big straw was plastic. The smoothie tasted a little too sweet. ✨Dessert: Highly recommend the Carrot Cake!! Excellent Service. Everything about this place is PERFECTION. The owner, Plern, is an absolute genius! Plern has so much talent and puts all her heart into this place. You really feel like you’re being cared for here. And the food is phenomenal!

Will go again / price = average / service = above average / cleanliness = above average This place is possibly a hidden gem for vegans / vegetarians. Although I am changing my eating lifestyle to a majority plant-based, I am no expert or either of the above as I will still eat meat on lesser occasions. With that said, this place is most likely a gem for those who are the above. So far, I tried their northern lights pasta and brussel sprouts in which both were great dishes. The brussel sprouts are on the heavier flavor side but a good choice. The northern lights pasta tasted like a normal guilt free creamy parmesan pasta. The "chicken" is most likely tofu based after tasting the texture. It squishes similar to chicken so for meat eaters, this may be the better first time try. The ingredients included a bed of salad with a good mix of veggies providing a proper nutritious value overall. I am looking forward to trying many of their other dishes. Staff was very friendly when I asked for some recommendations. Parking is ample but limited based on how busy the plaza is where the shared lot is located. The interior is clean, modern, and feels like a vegan decor whatever that means. Just goes off that kind of vibe imo.

The food was great. Service was even better. Had a busy day and only ate here for lunch. Had the drunk cauliflower, N Seoul bowl, green goddess salad, with a cup of soup, and the pumpkin pie. By the end of the meal I was full, but it held me over all day and I didn’t crash but felt super clear-headed from all the clean ingredients!

The entree was alright but the starters are great. The latte was great but the mug was a bit unwieldy although cute. The tea was quite nice. The cauliflower starter was delicious. We also had a bowl with tofu that I wasn't too fond of.

Everything about this cafe was amazing. Excellent food. We ordered the sunset smoothie, drunk cauliflower, and sunset burger. They had amazing dips too. The dip that came along with drunk cauliflower and we also got a side of pesto. The sever was amazing too. He kept on checking on his customers. That was super sweet. They had parking spots too.

Superbbbbb food! Just loved everything! Got the drunk cauliflower (the best), damn good chili with bread and the sunset strip burger. Def coming back for more! Good ambience, music and service!

This place is amazing!! Anything I’ve tried has been delicious!! Today I enjoyed guacamole and organic tortilla chips, coconut shrimp, caesar salad with their fried chik’n strips. The service has been excellent both times I’ve been and the music is nice too! I can’t come to LA now without making a trip so I can try everything on the menu eventually! 😂

By far the best vegan pasta dish I have ever enjoyed. The flavor was absolutely on point and everything was so fresh tasting. I will definitely be back to try there many other dishes.
